Getaway to Summit Lake

Enjoy peace and relaxation on Summit Lake. Fish, swim, and boat away the season. Our 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom vacation house in Summit, NY is located on 1.5 acres and sits on the southern end of Summit Lake. The property sleeps up to 8 guest comfortably and is ideal for a family or group of friends looking to experience all the area has to offer. Situated in Schoharie County, north end of the Catskills, you are surrounded by nature and very few neighbors on our side of the lake.

All of the home is available for use including the top floor, the main floor and the finished basement/recreation area. Both decks are available for cooking or relaxing and sunbathing. The lake sits at the bottom of the grass on our property for guests to use to play or picnic. The lake is available to use excluding motorized boats.

We are located close to numerous wedding venues, multiple skiing and snowboarding locations, and several state parks all within a 45 min - 1 hour drive from the home.

The large kitchen is fully stocked for guests who want to cook large meals or grill outside and use the updated pine dining table or the dining area on the deck.

Our home has a large upper and lower deck. During good weather a large patio dining area accommodates those who want to cook and eat outside and relax with beverages on either deck. Beautiful outdoors views to enjoy morning coffee, the sunrise, a beverage of your choice at sunset, or have a BBQ with the family on the grill. (It’s charcoal.) Off the patio is a yard large enough for many games at once.

For those who prefer to relax inside, there are large TVs in the living room and in the basement game area. Both offer Roku, Netflix and Amazon via the smart tv apps for an exhaustive list of movies and additional channels for tv watching. Ideal for scenarios where adults and children may want to simultaneously watch different options.

In the basement, workout equipment, and another tv entertainment area offer separate space for guests. Guest can walkout from the basement onto the lower deck and exit the home into the large yard into Summit Lake. As people come back inside via the lower deck and basement they is space to drop off dirty clothes and swimsuits into the laundry room for easy access.
