Very Good

The property was pet friendly, the view was gorgeous, cabin is very clean, the WiFi worked well. The beds were very comfortable. The location was very peaceful and not too far from amenities. Easy to get to a beautiful hike on the Mineral Trail. The 10 digit lock code was a bit much. Otherwise all was very good.

Very relaxing cabin
Loved the cabin! It had everything we needed for a long weekend away. We loved the view and it was just a short walk to the lake
Cozy cabin with lovely lake views. A nice getaway for two couples. All the previous reviews about the challenging driveway are true.

It was a great cabin to stay at! Very cute. The only problem was something was wrong with the oven but the renters responded very quickly and it seems like it’ll be fixed. There was a great view on both floors and plenty of towels and linens and a dvd player for fun. I appreciated the multiple bathrooms and the washer/dryer. Great price too.

Derby weekend
Nice quiet cabin just perfect for some friends to relax after a day of fishing . Very cozy.
Exactly what we were looking for. Peaceful, quiet, close to the lake. Property was clean and had everything we needed, including board games, puzzles, ladder golf, cornhole, bbq, gas fire pit. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Love it.
Lovely little cabin in the woods! I enjoyed drinking my coffee every morning on the upstairs balcony looking out at the peaceful lake listening to the birds! Wonderful place to let the stress of everyday life melt away. Can’t wait to return.

Rustic getaway
It was a wonderful experience, very rustic. Beautiful setting. Treacherous driveway. Bring what you need because there's no grocery store nearby. The marina is a 5 min drive.

4th of July in Garfield Bay
Spent a week here over the 4th of July. Great location and view of the lake, Garfield bay is a cool little area with awesome lake access. Was able to keep my boat docked at the store and he also had trailer parking so that was great because no chance of getting a trailer to the house. Driveway is steep and gravel but didn't give us any issues in a 4 runner and Chevy pickup. House isnt perfect but worked great for 2 adults, 2 kids, and a dog over the week. Would love to return next summer.

Secluded home with a view of lake.
Privately located, with no curtains or blinds in common areas. Steep incline to drive up to front door. Morning sun blasting into Master Bedroom (upstairs) no Blinds or curtains. **no tv* just a DVD upstairs. 10~ minute walk to lake, via Road. If you want seclusion, this is the spot.

Response from VrboOwner on Sep 27, 2024
Shawn, thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the seclusion and the proximity to the lake. We understand that the steep driveway can be challenging, which is why we instruct guests to park on the first tier of the driveway and not drive all the way up to the home. There is a sign posted to indicate where to park. We appreciate your input about the other items and will consider them for future improvements. We hope to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay.

Beautiful property and beautiful home. Clean, welcoming, accommodating, and exactly what we were looking for. AC kept the home cool and comfortable. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Most importantly, the kitchen was very usable and the beds were comfortable. After reading the other reviews, it was apparent the owners listened and took care of issues to make the property even better. The driveway scare my wife…only issue. We will certainly look to vacation up in Sagle again! Thank you!

Great Place!!
Did NOT want to leave! North Idaho is my home away from home and this place was perfect to reconnect! A few tips- Bring slippers! The floors are concrete and they want you to take your shoes off. Don't plan on sleeping in if you're affected by the sun and like it dark- there is no covering for the bedroom sliding glass door. A little note to also remember - there are more movies in the closet upstairs. Overall this place is really great! PS- the dresser drawers stick in the master bedroom 😊

Quaint Little Cabin
This cabin was cute, has a fully equipped kitchen, and you can truly fit a big family in it.
However, the driving instructions leave a whole lot to be desired. The signage doesn't state the number of the house at the bottom of the driveway as per the paperwork, it actually has the county address instead which is a different number.
The driveway is super challenging to maneuver even in an AWD vehicle due to heavy rock/dirt erosion.
Side note: You will be driving several minutes to get to the beach, don't let the dock photos in the listing fool you like they're apart of the property.

Great location but poorly maintained
The property looked very used and not well maintained. Sheets and towels were clean but the kitchen and bathroom were not. The freezer actually had something growing in it and was unusable. There were many loose or broken knobs, fixtures, and handles. This could be a very nice property with some care and attention

Missleading-Stay elsewhere
There was no dock or water for public use within walking distance as per pictures posted. Place was 15 mins out of Sagle. Needed 4x4 to get up steep hill. Also the showers had mold and the shower curtain had bacteria on it. Chair cushions had not been vaccumed for a long time and were pretty yucky. One stove burner kept shutting off in use. Also the floor is concrete and super hard on the back which was also missleading in pictures.
The wifi was great and the place was semi quiet. Clean bedsheets and towels.

Alison, thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. We sincerely apologize for the issue that you encountered with the cleanliness and misleading listing. We appreciate you bringing your concern to our attention and allowing us to review and address it accordingly. Our team confirmed that they washed the shower curtain and added some caulking to help with mold, but they will get in there for a deep clean after peek season. Also, they are going to adjust the photos to avoid any confusion with the dock moving forward. We thank you for your feedback, as it helps us improve our guests' experiences, and we hope you will give us the opportunity to host you again.
Vacasa was a nightmare to deal with. They did not provide lock box codes until hours after checkin time which meant a wasted evening. I spent an hour on hold and never got through. The house had not been deep cleaned in a very long time. There were dirty pans in the cupboard. Old coffee grounds in the coffee maker. Junk cars and trucks in clear view of the balcony. Duct vents dirty and crusted. It was a really bad experience compared to the VRBO we stayed in the previous three days.

After the 3rd try we finally gained access to the residence. The first thing we noticed was a stench that immediately cause a headache for me and an allergic reaction for my daughter. The smell is coming from the hot water tank and is called hydrogen sulfide, a rotten egg smell. Not my idea of the aroma of country living. This smell has attracted flies in the area and as soon as the door is open in they come like a flood. There wwer 50 flies in the house when we arrived. The last thing I expected when begining my Vacasa vacation was that i would have to engage in pest control. I reported my concerns to Vacasa through text, was promised a reply, but received none. The refrigerator, upper portion, was froze over and was not functioning. The stench, the flies and a malfunctioning refrigerator left an impression that I, we, will not soon forget. Those who manage this property need to step up their game.We were asked to be shoeless in the house. That is all and good but what were the lumps I felt while walking on the rug in the kitchen? It was obvious that either another tenant or the management cleaning team simply swept all the debris literally under the rug. Without a dustpan readily available i suppose someone thought that was the next best thing. The cleaning crew simply did not catch this so it was left for.the next vacationer to discover. The views were wonderful and the HVAC systems preformed fantastic. This review is solely for the management team and possibly the owner

Bob, thank you for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced, especially the odor, flies, and refrigerator problem. We understand how disruptive this was and apologize for the lack of response during your stay. The source of the smell was identified and resolved. The P-trap to the hot water heater was empty, and it has since been fixed. There are no longer any odors in the cabin. The refrigerator has also been repaired, and we've installed a new gas stove and oven. We've reinforced our cleaning procedures with the housekeeping team to prevent issues like debris under rugs from being missed again. While we're glad the views and HVAC system were a highlight, we regret the rest of your stay did not meet expectations. Your feedback has been shared with the management team and owner, and we’re committed to continued improvement.
