Watch your children fishing, crabbing, and swimming from the dock in the back yard. Swim in the pool next door overlooking the saltwater. Golf on two 18 hole Tom Fazio golf courses along the tidal creeks leading to the intercoastal waterway.

The villa next door is also available for multiple families that would like to be near one another but not necessarily share the same accommodations.

Dataw Island has a pool (1 block away) overlooking the water, a full fitness center (8 blocks away) with an inside pool & jacuzzi, a marina, a clubhouse with a Pub with big-screen TVs and beer on tap (1 block away), Har-Tru clay tennis courts (1 block away), croquet and miles of bike and walking trails.

Hunting Island Beach is just 15 minutes away with a complimentary pass for surfing, shelling, and beachcombing.

The house was nice. The outside garbage can was missing. I contacted Heidi and she was on it. The can was there by the next day. The back deck is so peaceful in the morning. The view is beautiful.

High quality furniture and bedding. For a smaller place it accommodated us very well, enjoyable setup for a large family. The dock was great, the crab pot was fun to use and the kids loved it. Super nice pool area, very convenient. Nice access to community center for a workout as well

Great place to stay for event at the clubhouse. We were able to walk to the wedding and rehearsal dinner. Every possible kitchen gadget was available, we didn't need them but that's a plus. Would definitely stay again.

Great family vacation home away from home!

Our family of 4 had a great week on Dataw Island. Villa was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. It was spacious enough for our family of 4, but also felt cozy. Kitchen was very well-stocked with various condiments, pots/pans, utensils. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return in the future! Dataw Island is a little remote, so anything we wanted to do in town or elsewhere was at least a 10-15 minute drive, but we knew that going in and loved being away from the hustle and bustle.

Villa on Dataw Island

We have stayed at the Villas many times in the last few years since we bought a lot there and are waiting to build. This one was one of the most equipped one we have been to. It was the first one we have been to that we didn’t have to run to the store for extra towels and toilet paper. One of the breakers went out and they responded right away to help us out. Other than the rain we had a very nice weekend. Thank you

Excellent location and marsh view. Amenities were prolific and readily available. The 3 man kyayk was too heavy for taking it in and out of the water at the dock. We enjoyed the wonderful pool. The much appreciated complimentary pass to Hunting Island stare park we used almost daily. With 4 adults drinking coffee we could have used a 12 cup coffee maker but I’m not complaining. The charcoal grill was a small table top variety and we had to utilize the oven for our party of 6-8 (with guests). The host was very responsive to my questions and allowed us a late check out on a Sunday.

Beautiful Home, Disappointing Owner Experience

The home, island, and setting are very nice. We learned that the owner is challenging to work with and misrepresented circumstances to manipulate her desired outcome unnecessarily. Despite this, we are thankful that it ultimately worked out; our son's wedding weekend was a dream come true.

We enjoyed our visit and enjoyed seeing a friend that still lives at Dataw. The view from the small back deck was pleasant and the sunrise was always a beautiful way to start the day and on the last morning I watched a pair of dolphin following the outgoing tide. The countertop “oven” was an odd contraption and not easy to figure out how to use it. We would have preferred the king bed downstairs and the shower water pressure is far superior upstairs then the trickle in the downstairs shower. Housekeeping could have stored the owners personal toiletries and a clean soap bar instead of the used soapbar which had hair on it.

The water is just 30 feet from the deck overlooking Jenkin's Bay! Watch the dolphins frolicking as the sun sets off the dock in the back yard, play in the club pool next door and enjoy Killian's on tap at clubhouse/ private pub one block away. A completely relaxing experience to rejuvenate the soul!
