Why Laura Achurch chose Beaufort

The charm and potential of this house brought us to the bargaining table and we have never turned back. We have had a fantastic time decorating the home, maintaining it and meeting the wonderful individuals and families that stay with us.

Cozy, convenient and clean

  • 5 of 5

My family and I were pleasantly surprised by the location of the cottage! It was tucked away in a nice, quiet neighborhood not far from shops and the bridge leading to the sea islands. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Beaufort. Thanks for making that possible.

This cottage was perfect for our family. All the comforts of home while we celebrated our Marine. Location made it easy to get to PI for the early morning events.

A lovely house, perfectly equipped in a super location. Highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

We decided to spent some time exploring SC and GA, and chose to stay at Laura's house in Beaufort. It was a very good choice. The location is great, you can walk to local restaurants. You can explore the amazing historic parts of the town, and in a moment you can be looking out over the water.

As for the house, it's exactly as described, very well equipped, and delightfully spacious. Everything was clean, and there's plenty of useful info about the area. But if you need more, the wifi works great.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the house to anyone.

Just remember your deet if you go outside in the evening, those SC bugs are tough!

Great location in Beaufort

  • 5 of 5

A special thank you to Laura for making our stay in Beaufort comfortable and memorable. The bonus of the Hunting Island Park Pass provided us the opportunity to view the eclipse from the beach. The location of the cottage is perfect - quiet and peaceful yet within walking distance of downtown Beaufort. The house provided plenty of space for grandparents and two teenage grandsons! It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

USMC Graduation - The Perfect Place To Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our family recently traveled from NY to Beaufort, SC and stayed at the Achurch's lovely cottage - it could not have been more perfect! The cottage itself is full of charm and character; lovely wooden floors, nooks, angles and old world charm. The decor is very tasteful and the entire cottage was immaculate - clean, organized, well stocked with linens, towels, pantry items and spices. There was even a wheeled backpack cooler available and folding chairs. The beds were very comfortable and the availability of so many twin beds allowed our party of 6 to have their own space. We were in Beaufort for my son's US Marine Corps Boot Camp Family Day and Graduation (Semper Fi!) and the cottage met all our needs and more! It was a very simple drive to Parris Island and yet when we were at the cottage we had the park next door, we walked to restaurants and enjoyed the neighborhood. It was a quick drive (maybe 5 minutes) to historic Downtown Beaufort where we strolled the quaint streets and stores, enjoyed gelatto, and watched the sunset over the water.

The Achurch's were so hospitable and extremely quick to respond. When we arrived Wednesday afternoon it was pouring rain and the forecast was for rain throughout our stay. Laura offered to bring over umbrellas and rain ponchos for our use at Parris Island so that we wouldn't get soaked.

I highly recommend staying here - we absolutely plan to return to enjoy more that this area has to offer during a true vacation. If you have a Marine Grad this is is a GREAT rental!
