Welcome to Buxton Cottage – The antithesis of modern day Hatteras Island. Come enjoy this 1950’s beach cottage fully renovated with all the modern amenities. This two bedroom, one bath getaway will cater to all your needs.

Relax at the heart of the island. Buxton is centrally located between all of the best spots to kiteboard, wind surf, fish, beach access, surf, paddleboard, walk, hike, and bike. Just a few minute's drive to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and beaches. You can walk to the Lighthouse beaches, and restaurants. Everything is within walking or biking distance.

Just 1.8 miles from one of the premier kiteboarding locations, Kite Point. Buxton Cottage is 10 lots in from the Atlantic Ocean. Walk to the ocean and enjoy your morning cup of coffee while watching the sunrise... Then, on a southwest wind day, enjoy 6.8 miles down winder from Kite Point to North Avon pull out. Or even further if you’d like! We are sure this beach cottage will meet all your getaway needs!

This is a triplex building (3 units) and The Maiden is located upstairs with a flight of stairs to the front door. The Maiden has two bedrooms, one bath, kitchen fully equipped, High Table with 2 chairs (see pics), TV, internet, Wi-Fi, all linens are provided (4 bath towels and each bed has 1 set of sheets), complimentary items such as one roll of toilet paper, coffee filters and trash bags. Puzzles, cards. Parking and outside seating on the balcony. It is perfect for 2-3 people. However, maximum number is 4. This unit does not have a washer / dryer.

IMPORTANT: Perfect for 2-3 people. Maximum occupancy of 4 people is strictly enforced. Buxton Cottage is NOT to be used for group events or gatherings. SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED. Failure to comply will result in eviction without a refund.

She was very accommodating and helped us get in early! The location is perfect if you are familiar with the area and love to surf fish or kite surf! Communication was very easy and we felt safe and comfortable

Thank you Linda for the great stay at the Maiden. It is always so beautifully decorated and so close to the beach. The bedrooms are great and the mattresses very comfortable. We love to relax and watch a little TV after a full day on the beach, however, the couch is not comfortable enough to make that enjoyable. It is pretty and looks great in the room- but just not comfortable. We enjoyed our time in Buxton! Thanks again!

Perfect relaxation spot

Short walk to the beach and far enough from commercial area to not be bothered. Check out conners for groceries and uncle eddy for ice cream and putt putt. Public beach access a mile away is perfect for a night time fire.
