About Vacasa of Southwest Colorado

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Great location with lots of space

 • 5 of 5

Moments from food and the gondola. This place is well stocked. It could use a little updating but my guess is that it keeps rather busy due to the great location. We had a blast!!! Thanks for the great couple of nights.

Great place and close to everything

Super great for a big family. Well stocked and pretty comfortable. It definitely gets lots of use and could use some updates but well worth the stay.

Great location, but so many problems.

 • 3 of 5

Telluride is charming and beautiful. The condo is in a fabulous location, is spacious with a good floor plan but unit is not very quiet. There is a deck off the LR/DR that has a hot tub and has direct access to the ski slopes. This condo should be a 5 star property, but maintenance is NOT a priority in this unit. A few of the repairs needed: one of the downstairs toilets was “running” and the handle was broken almost off making it unusable, (I emailed and called for repair but no one no one came); 3 of the bathrooms had pink mold and one had black mold; there are hard water stains on the shower floors; the kitchen faucet was loose, leaked and had a sloppy and unsuccessful repair attempt; 9 light bulbs were out, including both of the ones on the stairs (a safety and liability issue); the fan upstairs is controlled by the same switch as the light (there is no window upstairs so the fan is important); not all the windows have screens and the rugs in the LR/DR are nasty. Additionally, the place is tired looking. The walls have a faux glaze on them that was popular 10-12 years ago, but it makes the place look dingy. A new paint job would do wonders for this unit. A lot of the furniture and bathroom cabinets need touch up, refinishing or replacing. So, my recommendation is to chose a different property.

Great location but...🙁

 • 3 of 5

Telluride is charming and the scenery was amazing! The location of the condo is great. It’s right by the gondola and the village. If you stay at this condo, a car is completely unnecessary. The condo itself is spacious and well laid out, with 3 large bedrooms and 3 large baths on the main floor. Upstairs is a 4th bedroom and bath as well as an additional living space. The kitchen has been redone and is equipped ok, but is quite small. There is a back patio, with a hot tub, off the LR/DR that opens directly onto the ski slope. So all that is great, and this should easily be a 5 star unit. But it isn’t. Some of things that need to be addressed are: one of the downstairs toilets handle is broken nearly off and “runs” continually, making it unusable and wasting water. (I emailed the Vacasa property manager, Alex, our first day and called the main Vacasa number and reported it and was told someone would be out to fix it. It was not fixed during our stay.) There is pink mold in 3 of the bathrooms, as well as black mold in one bathroom and around the kitchen sink. The kitchen faucet is loose and someone attempted unsuccessfully to fix it with a shoddy and ugly caulk job. There is also hard water build up on the tile shower floors. There is no lock on the master bedroom door. The toilet paper holder in the master bath is broken. (Someone started patching it, but didn’t finish it, so the TP has to sit on the floor.) At least 9 light bulbs are burned out, including both of the bulbs on the stairs, which is dangerous and a potential liability. The upstairs bedroom fan and light are controlled by the same switch which means to use the fan the light is also on. (The upstairs bedroom has no window, so it was hot.) Not all the windows have screens. The water on the fridge door does not work. The furniture is an interesting mix of attractive and ugly. Most of the furniture and bathroom cabinets are in need of touch up, refinishing or replacing. There are two rugs in the living area and dining area that are just plain nasty. They need to be tossed out. The condo walls have a glaze on them, which was popular 10-12 years ago, but really just makes the whole place look dingy, especially the bathrooms. A fresh coat of paint would do wonders for this unit. So, my overall opinion is unfavorable. We stay in condos several times per year - in fact I’m in a fantastic place in Aspen as I write this. I’m sure there are lots of better places to stay in telluride.

Perfect location

 • 4 of 5

Location (ski in/out) was our main priority and this condo was perfect in that regard. The manager was helpful and responsive in tying to remedy a couple of small issues we had. There are some minor issues in the condo, like burned out light bulbs and lack of functioning cable tv in the master. Also, for a four bedroom condo it seems inadequate to only have one designated, included parking spot. That one spot was occupied the entire time by an illegally parked vehicle so we had to park both of our vehicles in the $35 per day garage down the road. We were reimbursed for one of those parking spots since ours was taken but it was still a little bit of a hassle. Overall, the size and location of the condo were our main priorities and we would definitely stay here again.
