Unit 110, which we call “Worthy Porpoise,” is one of the premium beachfront properties on the Oregon Coast.
The oceanside suite includes a 42-inch TV mounted against the wall, murphy bed and reclining love seat. There is dining room table and a full kitchen stocked to the nines with cooking supplies. If home cooking is on your agenda during this beach vacation, this is the spot for you.
This condo has 8-foot glass sliding doors that open right up onto the edge of the beach. Outside your beachfront doors is a short staircase that is 12 easy steps to the sand. Take complimentary beach chairs onto the grassy patio, where you can watch your children build sandcastles below, and look for the bobbing heads of harbor seals in the shallow waves beyond. Walk north 10 minutes to some natural tide pools. Walk south and wade in the D River, the shortest river in the world.
The master bedroom includes a king bed with a Tempur-Pedic mattress, as well as another 40-inch television and second full bathroom.
No. 110 Worthy Porpoise is located in one of the most convenient spots at the Sea Gypsy. There are NO STAIRS to this ground-floor condo, which is about 30 feet from the entrance of the Sea Gypsy’s indoor heated pool and sauna. An outdoor gas grill and vending machine are right outside 110′s back door, too.

We had such an awesome time!!
We had such an awesome time at the Worthy Porpoise! The mattress in the bedroom was so comfortable that my husband is now shopping for a tempurpedic mattress because he said it was the best mattress he’s ever slept on, mind you, we own a Casper. The recliner in the living room was my spot, also super comfy. The apartment met all of our needs and its proximity to the beach was definitely the best part for us! We saw so many whales!!! We made friends with a bunch of seals too! There is so much marine life in and around the beach! We spent a lot of time on the sand, rain or shine; building sand castles, hunting for cool rocks and shells, exploring the sea grass, and running from the water in the surf. The place had everything we needed and some very nice homey touches like the children’s books and the beach chairs. One thing that could be improved was we had to do a little brain storming to figure out how to work the TV cable. Turns out the up and down channel buttons do not work on the remote so you have to key in the numbers for the channel to change channels. The channel guide (another thoughtful touch) made this really no big deal.
We didn’t do much around town because we spent all of our time on the beach. We got take out (MIST is a great place for take out, just saying) both nights, made lunch and breakfast ourselves, napped, explored, and took it easy. Amazing weekend on the coast!! Will definitely return!!
Place was wonderful! Only problem was the wifi. Never could get it to work. Garbage wasn't empty when I got there, but everything else was spotless!
