Very nice, clean 4 bedroom, one bath home on beautiful all sports Lake. Lake Mitchell is a 2,300 acre lake that has access via canal to Lake Cadillac which is another 1500 acres. Boat to restaurants, state parks, ice cream shops and downtown Cadillac for shopping , festivals and summer concerts. The views from this house are breathtaking with 50 feet of lakefront on the western shore of Lake Mitchell that is peaceful, great for fishing, perfect for swimming with a nice sandy bottom and beautiful sunsets. The views are spectacular in all four seasons with close proximity to Crystal Mountain, Caberfae, multiple golf courses and Traverse City. This waterfront open concept includes spacious bedrooms with sleep accommodations for up to 10 comfortably. The home is smoke free and no pets allowed.

AMENITIES- Completely furnished and ready for your enjoyment. Lake house has a gas fireplace, bed linens, kitchenware, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, Keurig, crock-pot, griddle, gas barbecue grill, fire pit, hammock, 2 TV's, DVD player, internet, Blu-ray player, air conditioning, and dock for renters boat or jet ski. Outside patio with furniture for spectacular views of lake ideal for relaxing.

ACTIVITIES- Swimming, boating, water skiing, sailing or fishing. Lake Mitchell is clear with sandy bottom and average 15' depth. Shallow area for great swimming and water sports close to shore. Nearby Manistee and Pine Rivers provide world class trout streams for fishing, canoeing or tubing excursions. Many quality golf courses located within minutes of the lake house. Over 500,000 acres of national forest for camping, hunting, and hiking. Several restaurants from gourmet to casual are found on or near the lakes. Downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, are just a few of the winter time activities that are available.

AREA- Located near the edge of the Huron-Manistee National Forest, close to numerous outdoor recreational pursuits. Challenging 18-hole golf courses just minutes away. Caberfae Peaks ski and golf resort is just 20 minutes away. Crystal Mountain provides excellent golf and skiing.

Had a great time staying at this lovely lake house. The kids loved the bunk beds and gathering around the fireplace to read books at night. Lake Mitchell is beautiful and you get a great view.

Great Visit

Great spot on the lake

Our group of 4 had a great and relaxing stay. Place was well kept and clean. Lake view was gorgeous and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Shellie was a great host and responded quickly to any questions.

Winter Coziness

Perfect spot for my brothers and I to take a break with the kids and do a little ice fishing just off shore on Lake Mitchell. All the little creature comforts were thought of with this house, with my favorite being the coffee and drink bar. Plenty of space for the 7 of us.

A complete vacation home

Fully loaded vacation home !! you cannot ask for best location, safe neighborhood, nice bedroom, loaded kitchen and aesthetic family room. I would highly recommend this house to stay with friends and family !!

Great getaway!

Cute cottage with everything you need. Owners had a binder with local suggestions which was helpful. Well kept up, clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. Enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards. We definitely recommend this property!

Water weekend

We had a great stay at this property! The house was great, clean and well stocked. Fantastic location. Water was great and the little beach area made it super easy to exit and enter the water. It was great to have the use of the paddle boards and kayaks. Host was super easy to communicate with. Overall great property.

Wonderful weekend

Had a great time! Everything was as described and all amenities you could possibly need were provided. Wonderful set up and host communication with as awesome. A little bummed I couldn’t park my boat at the dock because of the water levels but ramps just a short drive away.

Property as described; wonderful vacation

The property listed is just as described. It was clean and well equipped with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. Water is really shallow and sandy. Not far of a drive from a few fishing points along the Manistee River. Mitchell State Park is right around the corner and had some nice hiking trails. Good place to stay and would recommend it for families.

Family Fun

This was one of the best places we have rented. The listing was accurate, clean and comfortable. It was the best stocked from kitchen utensils, spices and towels we’ve seen. Shelly and Joe couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had family ranging from Seniors to infant and hope to return to make more wonderful memories. Thanks Shelly and Joe. The Kunkel family

Ice Fishing weekend

We had a group of 9 looking for a place close to a lake for an ice fishing trip. 4 from the U.P. 4 from SW Michigan and 1 from Wisconsin. This rental fit every thing we were looking for. We had easy access onto the lake and more than enough room. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to do the same.

Just right!

The pictures don’t seem to do this property justice! The home was clean, orderly, and well stocked with anything we needed to cook, clean or simply relax and enjoy the lake. It was truly perfect for the 8 of us on ours boys weekend (4 adults and 4 children between ages 8 and 11). The host was readily available to answer any questions and willing to accommodate our early start to a busy weekend. Roxanne was super friendly too!! We would definitely recommend this stay to other family and friends.

Room for a big group on Lake Mitchell

If you're unfamiliar with the area FYI Lake Mitchell is super shallow so don't expect to dive off the end of a dock. But that's part of what makes it great. And if you stay at this property you won't be disappointed. Its a shame it was just the three of us! So awesome.(1) Both drip coffee pot and Keurig with cups. (2) Room for everyone to separate - The set up is one bedroom downstairs, then upstairs on regular bedroom, two bedrooms with double-over-double bunk beds, and an upstairs common area with a day bed. Plus common areas downstairs and outdoors you could avoid your family entirely if you want to.(3) Well stocked - towels, laundry and detergent, bakeware, soap, knives, grill, etc.(4) No pets sorry! But we have a pet sitter now. Might need to adjust our review criteria . . . (5) Is there sufficient internet for people to separate and watch what they want? YES. One TV down and one TV up.

Beautiful location, the lake view was beautiful. Communication with owner was excellent when we had a small problem which we caused. The operation of the tv was a bit confusing for us given that we are not familiar with Netflix, Hulu, etc., a few instructions would be helpful. Overall a nice place to stay.

Perfect Vacation House!

This is the perfect vacation house! We just stayed in it for a second time, and we enjoyed it just as much this year as we did last year! The house is very clean and comfortable, and the owner is very friendly and professional and is quick to respond to messages. We highly recommend this house, and we are already looking forward to staying in it again next year!

We are a family of 3 that live in the Lansing area. I am an ICU nurse, my husband works for Michigan Department of Corrections and my daughter is a college student. We love our lake house and the Cadillac area and love to share when we are not using. I love to hear from renters about the memories that have made in our lake house in Lake Mitchell.
