It was a good property. Nice and easy access to south shore beaches and casinos, yet just far enough away to feel very much out of the hustle bustle. Roomy home.

My family and friends had a wonderful stay here during our annual trip to Lake Tahoe. Plenty of beds for everyone, and right down the road from Lake Tahoe Golf Course!
This cabin is beautiful. Open communication with Jeff was helpful. The cabin is fully stocked with essentials and more. Beautiful furniture pieces and extremely clean throughout. No bed in the TV room as advertised was disappointing. I will recommend this cabin to friends and family.

Thank you for your wonderful review, Patty! We look forward to having you in a future stay. Sorry about the lack of futon, but as mentioned we do have a twin mattress that can be used for that room on the floor!
Stayed here during the summer with family. Plenty of room for all our guests. The kitchen and bbq were nice to have for cooking. I would recommend this location.
We had a great time here with a group of friends. We do an annual trip and this location was awesome. Definitely recommended and no complaints at all. Some cool hikes right by the vrbo as well.
The place was as advertised and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the top floor and deck made for a great entertaining space throughout our stay. I cannot recommend this place enough.
We really enjoyed our stay at Jeff’s South Lake Tahoe cabin. Great outdoor space and nice open living room with plenty of space for larger groups. We will be back!
We had an amazing time at this property. Our family reunion was great. They have games at the house and the hot tub was amazing. The only thing was I wished we could stay longer. Thank you so much.
We had an amazing stay. Everything was clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was a great location and a beautiful view. The kids enjoyed the movie room and we made good use of the jacuzzi.
Thank you Jeff!

Thank you for your review Hector, we enjoyed having you! Hope to see you again in the future!
My friends and I planned a get-together at Tahoe and this property ended up serving as the perfect location for it. The property was very large, able to easily accommodate the 11 of us, and was very clean and well kept. We made use of the theater room often during our stay, a great feature that isn't found in most properties. The neighborhood was quiet but easily accessible from the main roads, and getting to Stateline was a quick drive.
Overall great property and great experience!

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The property is well maintained and clean. Kids enjoyed the huge screen in the movie room! Jeff, the owner, is a great communicator to ensure everything went smoothly for us. Love its proximity to Heavenly as well! We will definitely consider coming back in the future.
Me and my family of 12 got to spend our last weekend of summer in this beautiful home. Jeff made took in super to convenient. We got to check in an hour early because we were driving from LA with grandparents and they couldn’t wait to check in. The location was super convenient for all the trails and lakes we had on our agenda, and the Jacuzzi was the best part!
We had a wonderful stay for our first time in Tahoe. Jeff was always very communicative whenever we had questions and the place was exactly what we signed up for. The hot tub was the most peaceful experience in the early mornings and evenings. The communal spaces were the perfect gathering areas. The bedrooms were cozy and we loved the subtle themed decor (the German room was my favorite!). The movie room was super fun! I would definitely recommend staying here with a group of 8-10 and if I ever come back with a group that size, we'll stay here again!
Very old furniture and house wares. Old mismatched bathroom towels mostly looks like left behind from prior guests. The area rugs, couches and decorative pillows in the living room need some serious cleaning the smell is very noticeable. Highly overpriced for the quality and commodities it offers. Guests make sure to take pictures when you arrive and before you leave or you’ll be tricked in to paying for something you’re not even responsible for.

Dear Angelita,
Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can address any concerns in real time — your comfort and satisfaction are very important to us.
Over the past 12 years, we’ve taken great pride in maintaining a 5-star experience for our guests, and we’ve continually upgraded the home, including new appliances, hardwood flooring, deck, and furnishings — even beyond what's shown in the listing photos.
Regarding the damage fee, this was a very unfortunate and rare situation. A window left unlocked allowed wildlife to enter, which caused significant damage. We only charged a portion of the cost, and we understand this may have been upsetting — we do our best to handle such matters as fairly and transparently as possible.
We truly value all feedback and would welcome a direct conversation to ensure future guests continue to enjoy a safe and exceptional stay.
Warm regards,
Jeff and Danielle
This home is in a beautiful neighborhood that backs up to the forest. The view encapsulates everything beautiful about Lake Tahoe- the tall beautiful trees. The home set up had all the items needed to live in without needing to head to the store for incidentals. The floor plan Was perfect to accommodate multi-family/friends with the open floor plan and separation of restrooms etc. We will book again. The hosts are also amazing with communication.
Our adult children and their families were able to join us for this trip. The house had 4 bedrooms that accommodated our entire group allowing everyone to have a bit of privacy. The downstairs bedrooms and game room stayed cool in the hot afternoons and the large family room was perfect for all of us to gather. There is a large dinning room table inside and one out on the deck. The BBQ was in good working order. The kitchen was well stocked with what you might need to prepare food for a group. The upstairs bathroom was a great set up with the toilet in a separate space so others could shower and the toilet was still accessible. Jeff was great to work with. We have skin allergies and I was able to send special soap to his housekeeper to avoid issues. I would rent this house again.
We were a group of 12 (7 adults (1 18YO), 5 kids (16, 11, 9, 9, 7. The place is as advertised and all communication and dealing with Jeff was very easy. He responded to all inquiries in a timely manner. We normally stay on the west shore or north shore, but the south shore had some really nice beaches, hikes and places to eat. Note this is a somewhat "local" neighborhood and if you're looking for a "party" house, I'd recommend elsewhere. But if you need a place to stay near south shore and don't mind a 15 minute drive to the local beaches or into town (but be honest everything around Tahoe takes time) I'd highly recommend this rental.
The owners of the property have been great and responded to questions very quickly. The rental was very spacious for the 14 of us that stayed for our annual family vacation. The location was great but the place was in need of some TLC. Everything was very outdated and the couches and floors were VERY dirty. We also wouldn't suggest renting in the summer months as there's no AC (which we knew before coming) and it made for a very uncomfortable time. An otherwise very pleasant trip with lots of fun and memories.

Thank you for your review Ashton; I'm glad your group had a nice time! Regarding the comments on TLC, I wanted to address those concerns. The carpets were dirty from the renters just before, which we had discussed with Ashton. They were promptly shampooed after check-out (which is VERY expensive), we're sorry we couldn't do before their check-in due to the back to back bookings. I'm having the cleaners review the couches and spot clean, as we were unaware of this issue; we will make sure they strip the pillow covers and wash, or replace any couches if necessary. Regarding the outdated comment, the photos perfectly match the house, so I'm not sure if or why expectations were different; please let us know! We are always making improvements on the home! Regarding the comments on Air Conditioning, we make it clear that there is no air-conditioning, this is VERY rare for homes in Tahoe, and I know nobody that has A/c because it gets very cool at night, even in the summer. The renters just before had requested extra blankets that we provided them because it was cool at night. I include instructions to cool the home down, by opening windows/ running fans at night and then closing up in the morning to keep the cool air in. This typically works very well, but I suppose with 14 people upstairs cooking it can get warm in the evening on unseasonable hot days. We look forward to having you back!
We stayed for 4 nights with a group of 9 adults + 2 kids. The location, neighborhood, etc. were great. Communication with host and check process also excellent. Hot tub was a big hit with the kids. But the house itself was a little disappointing for a few reasons and I probably wouldn't stay again. First, it wasn't all that hot outside (highs in mid-70s to low 80s) but somehow the house really holds heat on the top floor and this made it very uncomfortable indoors in the afternoons. We followed all the instructions about windows open at night and then close in late morning but it was unpleasantly hot so we just made an effort to not be at the house during that time. Second, the bathrooms, particularly the bath/showers, were really gross with mold all around the edges. Third, I thought the listing had described the sofa in the media room as a sofabed, but when we arrived we found it was just a regular sofa and not comfortable enough for sleeping on. We had planned on one single person sleeping there and ended up moving them into the bunk bed room with another family, which was fine but not ideal and I wish we had known that when booking. Fourth, the kitchen was not as well stocked as most rental houses we've used, we had to purchase some baking dishes (muffin pan), the pots are not in great shape, and we only had enough utensils for one meal at a time. Overall, it was a perfectly fine house and we had a great time in Tahoe but not sure I would pick this one again.

About the host
Hosted by Jeff Servaites
We are Jeff & Danielle from San Francisco. Jeff is originally from Ohio and Danielle Sonoma County. We met and fell in love in San Francisco and bought our Tahoe home a few years ago as a place to get away with friends during the winter.
We love hiking, biking, skiing and taking the boats out on the lake. When not playing outside, Jeff can be found in the Bay Area, working as a Product Design Engineer. Danielle works as a Design Researcher at Square.
Why they chose this property
Jeff is originally from Ohio but moved to the bay area in 2006 and immediately fell in love with Tahoe as his adventure getaway. Danielle grew up going to Tahoe in the winter. We bought the house as a place to spend time with family and friends. We use the house full time in the winter but rent it out the rest of the year. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
We Immediately Fell in Love With the Location and the Space for All of Our Family & Friends. When You Are Lounging in the Living Room (2nd Floor) You Look Around and All You See Are Pine Trees That Make You Feel Like You Are in a Giant Tree House.
