Our family home in Meyers/ Tahoe Paradise has been a destination for private use, and renters alike for more than 25 years. Owned, maintained and frequented by the partnership of both my Dad and Uncle. We have offered this cozy and quaint setting for many years to return clients. Also, our vacation home in Tahoe is ideal for friends and family for summer & winter weekend trips or extended length vacations. This summer we are offering our 2 bath, 4 bedroom, two story family chalet for great seasonal rates. Our cabin is across from the Tahoe Paradise Golf Course, and during winter snow mobile rides are open to the public. A federal preserve and destination wilderness surrounds the frontal view when looking out of our family vacation home. Sparsely centered near like privately owned residences, there is space enough to feel welcome and private. The atmosphere that surrounds us in our neighborhood is very quiet. Our cabin is quite the little treasure, and pleasure in comfy cozy vacation rentals. There is a complete kitchen, living room with full entertainment DVD, mini stereo and flat screen HD TV. Free WiFi is standard with robust internet speeds for your full entertainment and computer / smart phone use during your stay. Upstairs there is 1 bath with shower and 3 separate bedrooms, one room dedicated to children with three single beds. Queen beds are in two upstairs bedrooms (one has an additional twin bed).
Everything is 'turn key' when you enter our vacation chalet. You will find all these amenities, & bath towels and sheets are all cleaned and maintained routinely before renters arrive. Furnishings include two nicely appointed comfortable couches, and several cozy single use couches. The kitchen stretches into a dining room with a full sized wood table and chairs for more than half a dozen visitors. Our cabin downstairs has a bathroom with shower and 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is plenty of cubby holes to store groceries and kitchen counter space. Coffee maker, toaster, all the utensils and cups, plates just about anything you'll need to get started in the kitchen. Also upstairs is a washer and dryer unit(s) for all your laundry needs. They are conveniently located behind a door and out of sight. Lastly our chalet is easy to find and Apache Avenue is directly in front of the Agriculture stop on your way down on highway 50/89 over the Echo Summit. Enjoy your stay, and have a great time at our Tahoe Family Chalet & Vacation Home Rental!

About Dennis Field
First purchased by my parents as a family get away, it is now our extended family's summer and winter place for fun - swimming, hiking, biking, winter sports, and enjoying the casinos.
Dennis Field purchased this Chalet in 1979
Why Dennis Field chose South Lake Tahoe
The property sold itself when we first saw it. The location is rural - away from the noise and traffic of downtown South Lake Tahoe, yet only minutes away from beaches, ski resorts, or Stateline.
What makes this Chalet unique
The cabin affords a picturesque and quiet retreat but is only minutes away from all the activities Tahoe offers. It is just a walk away from the Tahoe Paradise golf course or paved walking trails. Enjoy the beauty of the Eldorado National Forest from the front porch.

Second time renting
This is our second time renting this cabin and again we were not disappointed. The management is great, accommodating our needs. Everything was clean and ready upon our arrival.
cousin ski/board trip
The home was just the right size for our family get together. It's not fancy but was clean and cozy; perfect for our needs. Management was very kind and understanding of our needs. I will certainly stay in this house again.
Loved this place!
We had a great weekend here! Our group of 9 adults had plenty of space. We cooked in the fully stocked kitchen every day. The host was very responsive. I'd definitely recommend this place and will stay again next time I have a big group in the area.
Quaint little cabin
If my grandparents had owned a cabin, this would have been it. If you’re looking for a clean and quiet place to stay, with some of that old time charm, this is definitely a good option. The gas fireplace/heater is a nice feature as well.
Honestly a great experience. Very clean, comfortable, and resourceful. Great location. Uber can get a bit expensive but it’s far enough to be quiet and close enough to go to the strip. There was more space than I thought and the fire kept us warm! So cozy! Also I was able to easily contact the owner if needed too.
Not to big, Not to small...but just right!
What a wonderful stay with my children and grandchildren! We were pleasantly surprised by the location and the comfort of the cabin. One never knows what you're getting until you get there. There was snow all around the cabin. There is a neighbor on only one side so ample area to build a snowman, create your own little sled area or just sit out on the deck and watch the children at play. A grocery store nearby for quick "I forgot" items. Easy access off the freeway. The rooms are spacious enough for couples. And while my adult children stayed upstairs there was a room with 3 twin beds to accommodate the grandkids. My husband and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom with a bathroom nearby. All very comfortable. The cabin needs a bit of updating but I was looking for a "cabin atmosphere" and that is exactly what we got. One small detail I wasn't aware of was the closet with snow sleds...so don't forget to look in there! Dennis the owner was quick to respond to my questions making it easy to plan this adventure. I will certainly return again...my grandchildren didn't want to leave. But grandma was ready...LOL. Thank you Dennis...
