The stay could not have been more perfect. The carriage house was decorated so exquisitely. The location was amazing, with such close proximity to the Historic District and shopping !! We took a golf cart tour despite the heat and learned many wonderful historic facts!!!The visit checked all our boxes!!!!
This place is just perfect. Very clean, well kept home that is in the perfect location to walk anywhere. Check-in was simple, will stay again if in the area.

Thank you so much, Rebecca. We hope you will come again.
Such a charming and well-appointed stay! Tucked into a beautiful neighborhood within easy walking distance of the lovely downtown and waterfront offering a vast assortment of shops, art galleries, and dining establishments.Highly recommend.
What a lovely place to stay! My sister and I were on a trip to Beaufort discovering some family history and enjoying time together. This was the perfect place to stay. The Carriage House apartment was beautifully furnished and spotless! We were grateful for the air conditioning as the outside temperature was 99 degrees but wonderfully cool inside! The location was perfect to walk to Bay Street for shopping and the restaurants. It was nice to have a parking spot right next to the apt. Ellen was a pleasant and kind hostess. She was very responsive. We would love to stay in this beautiful and comfortable place again!

The Carriage House was an amazing place to stay for two nights. Very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful original art (paintings by the owner Ellen), all essentials provided and more. The renovation of the original carriage house is fabulous!
The carriage house was perfect for our stay. The location was ideal, being a block from the waterfront and an easy walk to downtown and historic sites nearby. The carriage house is beautifully decorated and provides all the amenities that make for a comfortable stay. The owners were very quick to respond to our questions and were helpful in helping us to retrieve a tote bag that we mistakenly left behind. We loved our stay and would highly recommend the Carriage House at Craven House.
Very comfortable accommodations and close to downtown.
Lovely stay, can’t wait to return.

Doug, you didn't have to pay for the wine glass; we have lots of those and they are not expensive. And my housekeeper really appreciated the tip and the stripped bed. You are the perfect guests!
Thank you so much!
My wife and I stayed here four an anniversary trip and from start to finish Mike and Ellen were perfect hosts. The place was immaculate with a wonderful historic furniture and settings, yet all modern conveniences of AC and microwave and kitchen. The location cannot be beat and was within walking distance of fine restaurants and historic blocks. I don’t know if they do it for just anybody, but Ellen’s key lime pie is award winning. I applaud their painstaking efforts to rehabilitate and restore the grand residence and outbuildings.
I could not have been more pleased with The Carriage House. It was the perfect size for my daughter and me on our weekend getaway. The house was clean and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable. The outdoor seating area was perfect for rocking/swinging, reading a book, and having a cocktail. Bay Street was only a block or so from the house. Unless we were leaving downtown Beaufort, we did not move our car. Check-in was easy, and Ellen was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

The carriage house suite was very clean. Everything we needed was there and very well organized. The beds were very comfortable. We parked our car and walked everywhere. My niece stopped in to see us. Her comment was this is where she would definitely stay if she visited the area.
