About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 6

Get artsy when you stay in this fantastic, dog-friendly Nordland home! Enjoy gorgeous waterfront views, excellent beach access (you'll be right on the water!), and excellent amenities like a large kitchen and private washer/dryer for washing your swimsuits after a day at the beach.

This wonderful Washington State home is located on Marrowstone Island. Right on the Olympic Peninsula, you'll have plenty of access to lovely trails, activities, and wineries in the area.

Grab a sketchpad, because this home's retro furniture, lovely hardwood floors, and gorgeous views from every window in the home will inspire you to create great works of art.

Enjoy the lovely open floor plan in the living room, dining room, and kitchen. You'll want to relax on the living room furniture, playing the grand piano or various board games. There's also a TV with a Blu-ray player and even a DVD library so you don't have to worry about bringing too much from home.

Chefs are sure to fall in love with the kitchen! Pots and pans hanging from the ceiling add a gourmet touch, while all of the sparkling modern appliances and counter space will make cooking easy. Caffeine lovers should definitely take note of the French press, coffeemaker, and espresso machine.

Sleeping up to six guests (four adults), this home has three spacious bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, one with a queen-size bed, and one with two twin-size beds for the kids. The room with the queen-size bed is detached from the home in its own guest suite for extra privacy. A sofabed is also available in the living room.

Three full tiled bathrooms are great for everyone! WiFi access, a private washer/dryer are available for your convenience. Don't leave the dog at home - you can even bring up to two furry friends with you for a small nightly fee.

You only need to walk out on your very own wrap-around deck for some of the most breathtaking views you've ever seen. Write in your journal on the patio furniture outside or grill some hot dogs on the gas grill. You can even head down your own private staircase to the beach!

Just 50 miles from the bustling city of Seattle and 17 miles from Port Townsend, you will have plenty of access to lots of delicious restaurants, cute shops, and inspiring daytrips. If outdoor activities are your thing, you can explore the Olympic Peninsula in style and go for a hike, or search for the Sasquatch in the forest. Other activities like horseback riding and sailing are also available in the area.

No matter how you decide to spend your vacation, you're going to fall in love with this unique, modern home. Book today!

Location, views, beach access outstanding but for a two drawbacks.

  • 3 of 5

We spent the winter days watching the traffic in the shipping channel, the wildlife on the beach and in the water, and beach combing. However, as the home is a tribute to the original builder/owner/artist, to interior decorating, to art, and worn out classic modern design furniture, there is no comfortable seating in the whole house, inside or out. We've rented through VRBO, Vacasa, Homeaway around the country multiple in the last 15 years and can adjust to pretty much any conditions. Hours spent inside during stormy winter days would normally be very satisfying. This review would have been 5 stars if not for the lack of any comfortable seating. The previous renters took the access keys back to Dallas with them. Vacasa rep somehow managed to get the place unlocked, however, in the whole week we were there, we never received any keys and had to leave the place unlocked when we were gone (nor did we hear any further from the Vacasa rep after he said the first days he'd get keys to us).

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

The two of us stayed for three nights. What a wonderful experience. We wanted to move in. Fully furnished, and then some. The decor is unique and very interesting. The access to the beach is unique and there are not too many places with direct access. The seating (living room and T.V. area), could use a little help. It is not very comfortable and will not accommodate more than two people. Don't forget to drive down E. Marrowstone for the fresh eggs. There is a general store 5 minutes away that is well stocked. There is also a QFC 15 minutes away with a few other amenities and stores, restaurants. We cooked all our meals in the wonderful kitchen. Oh, Marrowstone Island Shellfish (5 minutes away), has fresh crab and clams. Be sure to call first. We will definitely return.

Sticks in your memory

This house is right on the water with a great view of the sea. We were there during a ferocious rain and wind storm, and it was straight out of a storybook. It was the perfect retreat from the world we were looking for.
