Above the Beach - Meredith Lodging

Above The Beach gives you the perfect retreat for big family vacations or combined-family getaways with friends. With incredible oceanfront views of the sparkling Pacific, Above the Beach has your seaside activities covered—from whale-watching to long walks on the beach. Two fully-appointed living areas give you the flexibility to spend time together or break off to enjoy quieter moments. With kitchens on the second and third floors you and your guests can cook together or prepare meals separately.

Everything you need is steps away, including beach access and a grocery store. It’s a short stroll to the D-River Wayside, where you’ll find Kyllo’s Seafood & Grill and other dining options. This attractive and well-maintained home has two upper floors, each with its own open-plan living-dining-kitchen area, wood-burning fireplace, full bathroom, two bedrooms (each with queen beds) and large oceanfront deck. There is also a convertible sofa-sleeper on the second floor. The entry-level has garage has a washer/dryer and plenty of room to drop all of your beach gear. Your family or families will love being together in Lincoln City at comfortable, friendly Above The Beach, where the views and sunsets are ever changing.

Family Beach Vacation

The house was oceanfront but it didn't have direct beach access. The house had plenty of room and everything was clean. Parking was a little tight with 2 vehicles.

Great Location and gorgeous views

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a little smaller than the pictures seemed but the different levels really added to the experience. Location was perfect!!! Views spectacular and easy access to the beach.

This was a great place for 5 people. With the 2-2 bedroom units it was good to be able to gather together or get away for a bit. Would stay again.

Everything was great. Excellent location in Lincoln City. Only negative was the stairs. But most of us were old folks. We didn’t have go to the gym this week. Definitely would stay again.

Wonderful family vacation

This place is all about the view!! Amazing! The layout was very handy for the family. There were some little complaints but all in all it was a great house for our stay!!

Beautiful house and property. My only complaint is that the queen sized beds were made up without fitted sheets and the queen sized flat sheets could not be tucked into the mattresses. When I called management they stated that housekeeping said the beds were made perfectly. They were not

Great View of the Ocean

My wife and I stayed with 3 other couples. Two of the bedrooms are a bit small, but it's great having two separate kitchens, living rooms and decks. Made it super easy to either gather as a group or do your own thing and have some space.

Ahhhh

There are beautiful views of the ocean from the large wall of windows on 2 floors of this house. It is very comfortable and well appointed with comfortable beds in each of 4 bedrooms. The appliances all worked and it was nice to have 2 complete kitchens to borrow from so we had everything we needed. This was by far the best house we have rented

Beautiful location

We were a group of 10 54 year old college friends. This was a perfect house for us. Plenty of bathrooms and places to sleep. Walking distance to restaurants. The only thing I would ask for is more towels. We ground 10 towels for 10of us. Not enough for this group of women. We would definitely stay here again!!

Beach house is family friendly

Property was fine but no beach access. 3 floors and 3 bathrooms with 2 kitchens gave our family a lot of space. Difficulty was the 5pm check in. We realize the time needed to get the property ready but on a rainy , cold, windy day, it was difficult to “kill” time. We called and asked if we could check in an hour or even a half hour earlier but was told there would be a charge.

Not clean

We came and my blanket had stains that looked like blood or chocolate. We dropped something behind the bed and there was dead bugs and piles of dust. Overall everyone was complaining about the cleanliness of the house.

Nice home

Everything was wonderful. Stairs are steep but manageable. Everting we needed was available. I did step on a piece of glass on the kitchen upstairs upon arrival. After sweeping we did collect a lot of dirt so looks like house had not been swept well. Homeless people around and scared us when exiting the home late at night, they were looking through garbage cans for anything they could recycle. So we decided to bags the recycling apart and keep them away from the front door. Short walk to beach. Overall house is nice and very accommodating.

Expensive ocean view

Extremely over priced. I have stayed at better for the cost to stay here. The house is basically two, small, two bedroom apartments with a shared basement, that's the best way I can explain it. The layout doesn't incourage shared family time. One normal sized 65" TV upstairs and a small 32" TV on the 2nd floor which doesn't fit the needs of a modern family. The house is dated and clearly not professionally maintained. Read the reviews. If a view of the ocean is all you want then you can still do better for the price.
