About Dr. W. Z. Miller III
Trilby and I split time between Crested Butte & Charlotte, NC. When in Crested Butte, we are just three blocks away should you need anything. When we are not here, Shay & Ashton Wychoff, our property managers, are at the ready. Their contact info is in our welcome letter.

Why Dr. W. Z. Miller III chose Crested Butte
We fell in love with Crested Butte in 2002 and bought in 2003. We love the Rockies and have skied all over the west. We didn't think about buying a house in the Colorado until Crested Butte swept us off our feet. We have not regretted it for a second. Best thing we ever did. We got lucky when 207 Sopris was available. It had good bones for a century old house, and two remodels later, our vision was complete. Come see for yourself--summer or winter. Most or our guests are repeat renters, which is why some dates are hard to get. Don't stop trying though.
What makes this House unique
For winter, the shuttle bus stop to the ski mountain is 300 feet from our front door, and it runs every 15 minutes. The nordic center for cross country skiing is two blocks away. All the great restaurants in town are less than a five minute walk. What can we say about the summer except that Crested Butte is heaven on earth. For summer, our fenced backyard is the star attraction. Native wildflower gardens are lovingly tended by Christin and her crew. Our lush Kentucky blue grass lawn is soft and lush for kids to play on. Adults can just relax in adjustable chairs with foot stools or just chill out in our hammock. The large, wood, locally made picnic table seats eight. A new large, copper, Weber grill is ready for you.

The property was great! There were plenty of linens, the kitchen seemed to be adequately stocked with dishes and utensils, however, we took advantage of the amazing restaurants/cafes and the closeness to Elk St and ate all of our meals out. The internet connection was very poor which would have been good to know prior to getting there. With that being said, this could be the only internet option in a small mountain town. Note: we didn't reach out to the owners/management to see if there was a better solution.
We are sorry to hear that the wireless internet was slow during your stay. As you know, since I had offered to welcome you personally when you arrived, we live just three blocks from 207 Sopris. I could have reset the modem quickly. As you noted, our Rocky Mountains are often not kind to internet signals. Classy move by you to write in your review that you did not inform us of the issue.
Beautifully renovated historic home!
Perfect location! We enjoyed several meals in town and also cooked for ourselves in the well-equipped kitchen. The Wi-Fi and cell reception was spotty, but when you’re on vacation, that’s not necessarily a bad thing! Dr. Z graciously met us and showed us around when we first arrived. The house was very comfortable for our family of four; we especially enjoyed the master suite.
Enjoyed a perfect stay in Crested Butte.
So enjoyable! Perfect location. We walked to delicious restaurants. The house is a wonderful home. Historic with modern updates. Plenty of space to spread out. Relaxed in the fenced yard outlined with stunning flowers. Don’t know how our weekend could have been better!
We spend a month here each summer. We consider it our home in CB or the month. The owners live down the street and and are most attentive to our needs. We take our two Springer Spaniels with us and they love to big grassy FENCE IN back yard. The house and kitchen are well stocked with supplies. The master sweet is fabulous and the other two bedrooms are nicely appointed. Plenty of room for two couples and two children..
