Our condo is located in the best family friendly vacation spot on Maui. Great swimming/snorkeling beach, Kam Sands III across the street w/ huge park. Great for watching sunsets. This was our first Airbnb/ VRBO type stay. We have always been hesitant to stay in accommodations that aren't hotels as I have very high standards when travelling. This unit is exactly as shown in photos. It was very clean and we had no issues whatsoever. Would definitely recommend and return for future stays in Maui.

This condo is in very good condition and has pretty much everything you need, including beach chair, sand toys, boogie boards, kid floaties and so on. There are plenty of beach towels and a mat for sitting on the beach. Wifi and cable worked well (but don't use it -- get outside!). The kitchen has newer appliances, including a nice quiet dishwasher (important for open layouts). Washer/dryer are new and worked great. There is a single AC unit which cools down the common areas well, but the bedrooms will be stuffy if its hot. Ceiling fans in all rooms help with this. The unit is far enough from the road to not hear any traffic. This is a ground floor unit, so if you wanted a view of the ocean, you won't get it. However, in return you get a larger patio area and no steps to get in and out. You also get a backyard for your kids to play in while you sip a drink at the outside table. Again, a good lay out for kids, perhaps not as good for a couple who'd rather be higher up and a get an ocean view. The grounds of the condo complex are well kept and nice, with grassy areas for the kids to play in, new Weber gas grills to use with picnic tables, a game room with foosball and table tennis, two hot tubs, a kids pool and a swimming pool. The area around the pool is well kept and surrounded by gardens and fountains, making it a nice spot to hang out. It's not like the nearby 5 star resorts but much a nicer spot than a plain old hotel pool. The beach across the street is a short walk away and really nice - there is a small park for kids too there. Mornings are best when the wind is calm, by afternoon the winds start to pick up and the waves may get a bit big for younger kids (for make for fun boogie boarding for older kids and adults). Not having to drive to the beach is great. Grocery stores are a short drive away and you can walk to a few restaurants and ice cream shops. There a single reserved parking spot close to the front door. W

We enjoyed our time in this unit. We have a 2 yr old so it was nice to be far away from the road & the pool was right there. Lots of great pool & beach stuff for kids & adults supplied! With being on the ground floor & having a 2 yr old, the screen door was not in great condition or able to lock anymore so he could escape easily unless glass door was closed which means we had to put on A/C which we don't like. But other than that, all great.

This was our first trip as a family on Maui, and we loved the unit we stayed in. It had everything needed PLUS!! The back closet was fully equipped with all you need for beach. The beach was so close, we never used the pool. Matt made check in and correspondence a breeze. We would definitely cone back! Mahalo!

Our family has been vacationing at Kamaole Sands since 2005. This is the first time we've made our arrangements through PMI and must say that they were great to work with. Our unit was clean and well stocked. The beds/mattresses were comfortable, the rest of the furniture in very good condition. We had no issues with pests. One of the ceiling fans did go out, but single call to Matt and PMI and Tonya and their maintenance person were out within a couple hours and it was fixed. Historically we've avoided dealing with third party management companies when booking our condo, but we would book again through PMI Maui.

Not only was the condo conveniently located near the pool, it was a short walk to the beach. The rental also has endless amount of beach toys to use from boogie boards to beach chairs. Overall it was an amazing stay. We fell right at home.
