This Charming Dutch Colonial home has been completely renovated and decorated with a whimsical twist. Being an artist I wanted my home to be one big creative adventure with elegance and charm. You and your guests will relax comfortably in one of three plush bedrooms; a King in the master, two twins in one guest room and a Queen and a Twin Day Bed in the other with two whimsical and all new bathrooms for your needs. The house has bed capacity for 7 but I also have two extra twin mattresses under the twin beds that can be pulled out and moved around to sleep a total of 9. A fully equipped kitchen will get you through a week of cooking and eating although with so many amazing restaurants surrounding you, there will be no need for cooking and cleaning; let the world class chefs do that for you.
The neighborhood is the best in the city! This is where the locals live. Just two blocks from the stunning, oak lined St. Charles and one block from Napoleon. Take the street car up and down the garden district to all the local restaurants and bars, parks and universities or all the way down to the French Quarter. You can go and play in the Quarter all day and night but come home to sleep where it's nice and quiet to recharge for another day of fun on the streets of NOLA. Only 3 blocks from world famous Pascale's Manale (the home of the original New Orleans BBQ Shrimp - a MUST try!) and equal distance from Charlie's Steak House, opened in 1932!
A nice walk or short Uber to Magazine St with ALL of it's wonderful shops, restaurants and bars. Tipitinas is also a short cab ride away for some of the best live music in the city.
As for MARDI GRAS, this is the BEST location for enjoying it! Just 3 blocks to the parade routes. If you have friends joining you, there is plenty of off street parking available for them as well, which is a rarity in this part of town.
Laissez les bon temps rouler (let the good times roll!).
No smoking. And if you are looking for a house to party into the wee hours of the night then this IS NOT the house for you. Please keep looking. This is a family neighborhood and I like and respect my neighbors and expect you to do the same.
