With two living rooms both equipped with TVs, separate dining room and fenced in backyard, John's Crab Shack's owners have lovingly decorated with your perfect family vacation in mind!

Create lasting memories as you relax beneath the shady oaks in the private backyard, or load up the beach cart and stroll over the tidal creek to the recently renourished shoreline for sunbathing, swimming, or surf fishing. Rinse off in the private hot and cold outdoor shower, then unwind on the backyard deck with a good book and your favorite drink. Prepare a gourmet meal in the well-stocked kitchen or fire up the grill for an evening cookout.

For rainy days, you’ll find plenty of games, puzzles, and books to keep everyone entertained. When you’re ready to explore, take a short drive to charming nearby Southport, filled with historic sites, shops, galleries, and fantastic restaurants. From Southport, take the passenger ferry to Bald Head Island, where cars are replaced by golf carts and you’ll discover pristine beaches, maritime forests, and the iconic Old Baldy Lighthouse. You can also take the vehicle and passenger ferry from Southport to Fort Fisher to explore its beaches, trails, aquarium, and historic Civil War site. Easy day trips to Wilmington and other popular coastal destinations are also within reach.
