There is no other neighborhood like Anglers Reef in Islamorada. It's beautiful Key West style pastel colored homes inside resort community, with garden like flora and fauna such as bougainvillea meticulously maintained, with a fantastic oceanfront swimming pool and boat docks and views over the Atlantic Ocean that will take your breath away. Just minutes from many local shops, bars and restaurants. Access to the ocean does not get any easier than at Anglers Reef. When we first found Anglers Reef on vacation six years ago we were sold and never went anywhere else.

" The Blue Marlin House":

There Are 52 Homes at Angler's Reef With Only 36 Boat Slips. Our home has the option for you to bring your own boat and use the dock (additional cost) . It is a Safe, Gated Community with very little traffic, truly an oasis. Enjoy coffee or cocktail on one of four porches, (each bedroom upstairs has its own balcony and bathroom) Or enjoy the community Paddle Boards and Kayaks or just relax with a Netflix movie.

You will tell you are someplace special when you see our 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom house, surrounded by wonderful landscaping, amazing palms, bougainvillea, and some of the most colorful tropical foliage that only the tropical Florida Keys can offer.

Blue Marlin's first floor offers a spacious, wide open layout with an over-sized sectional couch. Granite counter tops, all updated appliances, kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, utensils plates, everything you will need to prepare anything. Stay entertained during your downtime by watching your programming of choice on any of the home’s 3 flat screen TVs with hulu subscription, or surf the web via the complimentary wireless internet access. We also offer two bikes that you are available for you to ride.


The second floor offers a spacious Primary Bedroom with comfortable King size bed and an en-suite bathroom. There is a balcony and a television for you to enjoy.
Full size washer and dryer is in the hallway for your convenience.
The Guest bedroom has a brand new Queen over King BunkBed with new comfy mattresses (Jan 2024). This room also has an en-suite bathroom with bath tub and a TV and balcony.

Children of all ages will love the pool and the fact that there is no road traffic, and the geckos will keep young kids entertained for hours!

Throughout your visit, you and your companions will get to enjoy outstanding recreational facilities at Angler’s Reef. These community amenities include a heated swimming pool with outdoor bathrooms, chaise lounge chairs and tables overlooking the breathtaking blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and boat slips available for rent. Look forward to soaking up the sun at either of the 2 private beaches, located just a few short steps away from every home that flank the marina. Also the world famous Islamorada "sandbar" and Alligator Reef are a short boat ride from the opening of the channel.

Next door is the "Yellowtail" House. For large parties or families both can be rented together, their layout is identical and both share high end furnishings.

A dock is available also for an additional cost.

Please note, as of Aug 1, 2024. you will no longer be able to store a trailer outside the gate on the grass any longer. Trailers fitting under the carport are able to be stored there. Otherwise, we can recommend local storage lots you can contact.

We absolutely loved this place.

We were blown away by how amazing this place was. The neighborhood was so well maintained, and the atmosphere was extremely relaxing and inviting. We loved having access to paddle boards and kayaks and the pool was a must as well.

Winter break getaway.

My family really enjoyed our stay for two weeks in Angler's Reef. We loved how there was room for everyone. The community where the home was nice and private. The kids enjoyed the pool and easy acces to the beach. The pool was heated which made it nice going into. There was plenty of food options nearby. We will definitely come back when we visit the keys again.

The house was very clean and as advertised and the property manager was prompt and helpful in all correspondence and was accommodating due to our early arrival. Our family enjoyed this house. The host was extremely helpful when I needed to contact her. Overall, the house was exactly as described. Particularly, I enjoyed the availability of the extra towels and we also enjoyed the quality beach towels available.The house had the amenities we needed to enjoy our week in the Florida Keys. The notebook on the counter offered plenty of suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Thank you for the fantastic stay!

First family keys trip

Overall we had a great experience, house was accommodating and clean for the most part. The house is located in an overall quiet neighborhood perfect for family and kids. It is also in close proximity to family activities. One downfall would be the noise from US1 behind the house and the garbage that comes 2x a week before 5am. I would definitely recommend sound machines at night to help drown out some of the noise.

Fantastic Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Angler's Reef and Islamorada. The property is quaint and beautiful. The use of Kayaks was a plus for our family. The pool got quite busy and there often were not enough chairs but that didn't bother us as we made it work. There are many great locations to eat nearby. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The home was lovely.

We have visited Islamorada in the past, but this was our first time staying in Angler's Reef. Absolutely loved the community and our home! Compared to some outdated rentals, this place was beautifully decorated and was the perfect size for our family, and three boys! Great kitchen for eating in with everything you need and washer and dryer so no need to overpack anything. Kids enjoyed how close the pool was and we also loved the pool and closeness of the dock where we kept our boat. Looking forward to coming back next year!

The complex itself is adorable. Beautiful, well maintained grounds with the community pool overlooking the dock and ocean. Two cute little beaches but not really for swimming in the ocean but that is true for most Florida Keys beaches. Having access to the kayaks and paddleboards was a great amenity! Multigenerational guests in the complex, which was lovely to see. Overall, the house was clean and updated. Although the amount of those little black bait stations for pests in the home was quite off-putting, but I do understand it can be the nature of coastal properties. The sofa and linens are quite tired and in need of refreshing (a lot of pilling/stains on the sofa & bed sheets, unfortunately). The main negative though, is this house backs up to the highway which is very busy & incredibly loud. Especially for the primary bedroom and back porch. If you're hoping for a quiet night's sleep and hope to sit outside on the back porch for a peaceful morning coffee or dinner, this is not the house for you. We were so disappointed in how loud the highway noise was for this house- at all hours of the day. Even earplugs and noise cancelling headphones didn't conceal the traffic noise while trying to sleep. But, the actual townhouse was great and the location of the community within Islamorada is unbeatable, close to everything. We would definitely come back to this community but only to rent one of the homes closer to the water, where it was noticeably more quiet.

We are Cindy and Alan, we have been coming down to the keys for over twenty years. Once we stayed in Islamorada it became our favorite place in the keys and we started coming down here exclusively. One year we rented in Anglers Reef and that was it, we didn't go anywhere else from then on. We have five kids and nine grand-kids. We run an Equipment Rental business in Ohio, Alan is an avid fisherman and fishes Lake Erie in the summer. We are from Medina, Ohio. Why they chose this property

Blue Marlin House (1 of 2 sister houses available side by side see vrbo 819589)

We love the layout of this unit, it gives you plenty of space to all sit down together and socialize but with four balconies you can always sneak away and read a book or just relax. The bedrooms are good size with vaulted ceilings and each comes with its own bathroom, a two suite configuration. The kitchen is nice size and gives you plenty of counter space to sit and or serve food or you can use the dining table and chairs. We like the fact that there is almost no traffic within the gate and feel comfortable letting our grand kids have a little freedom.

Founders park is 2 miles north and offers a large playground, a big beautiful beach, Olympic sized pool with diving boards, toddle water park and public boat ramps. There are also many restaurants near Anglers Reef and a couple larger marinas where you can get a fishing charter or just go watch the boats come in and show off their catch.

Anne's beach is at mile marker 73 and is a nice beach to hang out and have a picnic.
Theater of the sea is about a mile away and offers some of the best sea life shows you will ever see and you can SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS there!

What makes this property unique

Islamorada is the 'The Fishing Capital of the World' and it offers Great fishing in the gulf or ocean side. There are plenty of guides you can hook up with, as well as 'head boats/party boats) where you can walk on for a reasonable cost and fish the reef (just a few miles offshore). Bring your own boat or charter with a guide (dock is an additional fee) .Try your luck fishing right out front for Bonefish, Permit & Barracuda on the flats. Or check out the mangroves for Snapper and Snook or off reef for Mahi Mahi (Dolphin), Swordfish or Grouper. Enjoy the views of the blue waters; swim in the large heated pool or just relax in the surrounding lush garden area overlooking the Atlantic; take a quiet stroll through the complex; take in some sun on the private beach. Restaurants: a short walk north is Hog Heaven (a night spot) and the Island Grill; a few miles south is upscale Pierre's on the Gulf and the more casual Islamorada Fish Company next door (both are next to Worldwide Sportsman (quite an attraction) for fishing tackle, clothing, and a large indoor aquarium); also a few miles south is Holiday Isle, the Green Turtle Inn & many more eateries. Some other favorites are Ma's fish camp, Islamorada fish company, Morada Bay, Marker 88 and the famous Cheeca Lodge.Attractions: Theater of the Sea is walking distance about 1/2 mile south, where you can see a Dolphin Show and even have a Sea Lion encounter. Founders Park is less than two miles north. Feed the Tarpon at Robbies, Boat and Wave Runners rentals ywithin walking distance.Check out www.islamoradatimes.com for more information.

Also Theater of the Seas is right up the road and offers DOLPHIN SWIMS and sea lion shows and more. It is a must see attraction and if you do want to swim with the Dolphins make reservations as far in advance as you can.
