We had a wonderful stay in Wailea. The townhouse was located in a wonderful central location in Wailea, with easy access to shopping, the Wailea beach boardwalk, beaches, and places to eat. We spent everyday snorkeling, boogy boarding, swimming, eating/shopping, and just overall enjoying our time in Maui. The unit was nicely furnished with a 1970’s tropical vibe and had comfortable beds. Kitchen refrigerator was large and easy to stock, and we had plenty of plates and cooking utensils to cook in the unit.I would highly recommend this unit if you’re looking for something relatively affordable in an excellent neighborhood in Maui.

Great condo!

This place is a great stay. It is a little dated but the condo is very clean and has great amenities. The stairs to downstairs is very steep so if you have bad knees/ankles it might not be the best stay for you. We will def be back!

Safe & excellent. Kitchen appliances could use a little updating but everything worked great. The air conditioner in the master bedroom is very loud. But because of the overhead fan we did not have to run it much. If I did it again, I would definitely consider this VRBO again for two families.

Great family vacation retreat

We loved early morning coffee on the lanai alongside the canopy of large trees and tropical bird calls – it made us feel like we were gazing at the ocean from a treehouse! We enjoyed the spaciousness and comfort of this affordable family vacation retreat, and the kitchen served our needs well. Avid snorkelers, we brought our own equipment and made the short drive to different snorkeling spots every morning! This area of Maui is wonderful and we hope to be back one day.

Great choice for families in Wailea!

Wailea is fantastic, but expensive, and this complex and condo represent an outstanding value for families! The owner is fantastic and ultra-quick to respond to any question and the unit is clean, comfortable and the deck outside has a wonderful ocean view, great for whale watching (with binoculars), and the location is walkable to Wailea Village (great coffee shop, Italian restaurant and others great shops), The Shops at Wailea, as well as the adjacent, fantastic, grocery store and of course, Wailea beach.

Overall great, spacious place to stay

Overall, a great stay and space was more than enough for all occupants. Encountered some trouble initially with some power outage in a room, but host was quick to respond and communication was on point for any other inquiries. Also included many boogie boards, floatation devices, chairs for us to use, which was a big help for our almost daily beach trips.

Lovely vacation in Paradise.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this home. I loved the artwork and found the lanai view to be quite beautiful. The landscaping at the Ekolu condominium complex is breathtaking. The flowers are gorgeous and the trees just pop with flowers and beauty. The ocean is right down the hill and I took early morning walks. I love to snorkel with the sea turtles and that area was just a couple of miles away. We also enjoyed the spaciousness of the home as our adult children visited for 10 days. Such a gift to stay at such a lovely place.

Family vacations

Over all we had a great time getting a message and playing golf. Unit is clean and well kept. Just a downer the leaky faucet in master bath was too much. The location greatly appreciated as it was close proximity to food & shopping venues. Will book for next trip in 2024.

Such a beautiful stay!

This is our 4th time staying in the Ekolu units and this time did not disappoint. Connecting with the owner was easy and fast, check in was seamless, the property was clean when we arrived and everything was as the listing. We had our 5 month old baby with us, and the convenience of having a pack-and-play there for him to sleep in was wonderful! The kitchen was stocked with what we needed, there were enough beach towels, and the beach gear was available. There were no sand toys so we did purchase some for our 4 year old and left them behind for future guests to enjoy. Such a great location which is why we keep coming back!

Awesome property

We had a wonderful stay at this Wailea property! The property was spacious and comfortable for a group of 8 with 4 different beds available for sleeping and two separate floors. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens I have ever rented - if you like to cook your meals at home when traveling, this kitchen is amazing!! The views from the upper patio and living area were outstanding. On the day that it rained, we were still able to hang out outside and to eat outside due to the covered patios. This place also had the best setup for beach umbrellas and chairs of any place we have stayed. The beaches nearby were wonderfull - boogie boarding and snorkeling with turtles galore! The owners and their property manager were both readily available when we needed to communicate! They were a true pleasure to work with and we will definitely return to this property if it is available on our next trip to Maui!!

Great amenities

We loved this townhouse. Our family traveled to Maui with a 8-month old baby and this was the only townhouse we found that had amenities for a baby. The view from the second floor lanai was awesome -- we had breakfast on the lanai every morning because of the clear view of Molokini. We could sit out on the lanai for hours just enjoying this incredible view. The location was perfect -- this is an end unit which was very private and we never heard the neighbors. The Shops at Wailea are a ~10 minute walk down the street (so convenient). The pool is just around the corner from this unit. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed (coffeemaker, toaster, blender, various sizes of pots and pans, and much more). The living room upstairs had plenty of room for all of us. The two bedrooms downstairs were spacious and we had plenty of room to "hang out" there as well. Overall we had a wonderful vacation at a beautiful location in Wailea.

Beautiful Area and large home

The home was in a great location was large and spacious for 5 people parents, grandmother and 2 teenagers. The home was stocked with everything we could need. The photos showed snorkel equipment which was not there for usage, but rather very old and dry rotted equipment. When I asked about it, it was mentioned that people have walked away with it and after I offered to leave the new equipment we bought from COSTCO the offer was given to purchase it from us which I thought was awesome. However, we left the AC on in the condo and were reprimanded like children and that offer was pulled off the table (blaming it on COVID). When we travel, we treat these homes as we would our own and due to allergies and breathing issues with my son and husband, we leave the AC on to maintain the air. In this situation, we were asked not to leave windows open and the home became very stuffy. The message I received from these owners made me very upset and just about ruined my vacation. We are adults, there is no reason to scold me like a child instead of having a conversation with me. I get that AC is a costly energy, but do not offer AC and then scold someone for using it as they would their own home.

Great location

It was great to have a patio overlooking the ocean, enough space for 8 people, lots of beach equipment including a cooler, and a really nice pool. The trash was conveniently close, The bbq was a little bit of a walk. I took daily walks to the beach ( about 20 min walk) and/ or shops. There was some areas of the house that wasn’t usable with off limit signs. I would have liked a bit more storage space and most of the appliances were outdated, but other than that we had an amazing time and the host was easy to communicate with.

Family time

Unit sits on beautiful property and location. Kitchen well equipped, fridge, washer, dryer worked perfectly. Downsides were floors that made our socks and feet turn black and dust/dirt/debris in corners of room and baseboards noted when plugging in things (someone else mentioned this in their review). Master bedroom’s tub/shower drain clogged but after notifying William, he sent someone over to fix (thank you!) and also mop the floor. A/C in master bedroom extremely loud- William offered to have it replaced the next day but we didn’t want to be disturbed so just used the fans when we couldn’t take the noise any longer. Upstairs got really hot by 3pm and on, A/c was programmed set to no lower than 64 degrees which did not adequately cool down the floor and was rather uncomfortable in the evening unfortunately.Owner very responsive- my 86yo mom had a great time, we would like to return once new A/C is installed and if they will permit us to lower the temp on upstairs A/c unit so we can cook a nice meal and sit on the couch in comfort. Thank you William for all your effort.

Great Stay in Comfortable Maui Townhome

We had a fantastic time at this clean and well-equipped townhome in Maui. The space was perfect for our group of five adults, with a spacious kitchen, two bathrooms, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The heated pool was a favorite — we used it every night!The location was ideal for exploring the island. We appreciated the beach gear, snorkeling equipment, chairs, and cooler, which made our adventures even better. We explored the Road to Hana, visited Haleakalā National Park, and spent time on the Kaanapali side swimming snorkeling at Airport Beach and also the Kihei area Kamaole 1 and 2 beaches. We took the ferry on a day trip to Lana’i, where we snorkeled, swam, and saw spinner dolphins and a sunbathing monk seal. We also enjoyed sunsets along the beachside walkway in Wailea. Overall, this townhome made a great home base, and we’d definitely stay again!

Lovely location and space for the family

This unit could use some updates and a deep cleaning (baseboards, cabinets, drains flushed) but overall was very comfortable and convenient for our family. For the price, it can’t be beat and we would stay again.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay in Wailea. Location is great. Closer to the beaches, walking distance to the Shops at Wailea. Condo is older yet had everything we needed. Bedrooms are spacious. Kitchen was equipped with all that's needed. The ocean view from the deck was very nice. Pool was warm and nice. William was great with messaging and helped us out when our time was shorten because of Westjet's strike.

We purchased this Wailea townhouse in the Ekolu complex 10 years ago. We are both professionals and our main residence is in Seattle on the shore of Lake Washington. We enjoy aviation, boating, swimming, scuba diving, travel, reading and just bobbing in the warm blue waters off of our favorite Wailea beaches! We have been in love with Maui for over 25 years.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We have explored pretty much every beach on Maui and choose Wailea because we consider the beaches the best on the Island. We like to scuba dive Molokini Crater and appreciate seeing it in the distance from our balcony. Wailea is beautiful and manicured with beautiful trees, tropical landscapes, expanses of green and several golf courses. Wailea is up-scale and less dense in terms of buildings/crowds and commercialism, than other areas.

The lovely panoramic view of the ocean and the proximity/accessability of Maui's best beaches, restaurants and shopping is what we love about our Wailea condo. The privacy, ample front door parking and the wonderful swimming pool are other perks. We have stayed in many Maui condominiums over the years.
