About Sherry & Len Frisbee

Our names are Len and Sherry Frisbee. We have lived in the Hot Springs area for all of our lives. We have two daughters that are now married to two terrific young men. We have two dogs (Luke and Sadie) and one cat (Maggie). We love this area and will be able to tell you all the local places to see.

Sherry & Len Frisbee purchased this house in 2004

Why Sherry & Len Frisbee chose Hot Springs

Grandma's House was actually Len's home place. He lived there until he was about 6 years old. The house was then occupied by his Grandmother, hence the name. When Len's Grandmother died the house began to fall in disrepair. We purchased the house and started remodeling it. It had good bones but needed some love. We sanded the hardwood floors, painted, rewired and took a whole lot of wall paper off. Our daughters learned a lot about fixing up an old house. They didn't much like it then but now they are proud of how Grandma's house looks and they have used some of the skills they learned on their own houses. Our oldest daughter even stayed at Grandma's house for a few months when she first got married. We all love this house and hope you will enjoy it also. It is cozy and comfortable and feels like home.

What makes this house unique

Grandma's House is located close to the Appalachian Trail in Hot Springs, NC on a country road about two and a half miles from Hot Springs. It is located in a valley with mountain views across the road from Shut In Creek, which is perfect for trout fishing,

Charming house and great getaway for our family!

  • 5 of 5

Grandma’s house was everything we were expecting. Sherry and Len had the house stocked with everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The house is perfectly located just minutes away from town and some awesome hikes! We were more than comfortable with a nice big tv, luxurious hot tub and new propane grill. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed as well. The yard was nice and big and had a great fire pit! There was privacy and neighbors not close at all. Thank you for a great weekend at Grandma’s house! We will definitely be back for another weekend stay!

Lovely scenery. Nicely done house. Enjoyed the area very much. Would have enjoyed the fire ring but the weather didn’t cooperate. Glad the jacuzzi was under a roof to enjoy during the rain.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry the weather was rainy. You will have to visit again to enjoy the firepit. The sound of the rain on the tin roof over the Jacuzzi does make it very relaxing. Hope you can visit again. Sherry and Len

A beautiful little home close to town. Everything we wanted! We spent my wife's birthday weekend and she said it was the best birthday she had in a while. Nice hot tub, great fire pit, and the owners were exceptionally helpful and gracious. We will most definitely be back!

Very comfortable and convenient

  • 5 of 5

Rented this property to be nearby family outside of HotSprings. Clean house, comfy beds. Internet and TV for those who need that. We enjoyed the hot tub each evening under the stars. Be sure to bring your own toiletries and hair dryer to supplement the ample provided towels and linens. Trailheads for hiking are right up the street and we appreciated the materials in the unit about the area and local activities. We would return!
