We loved the house, it was cozy, relaxing and quiet. The view from the back deck was beautiful over looking over the lake. The bathrooms were nice and clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals including the gas grill. Location was 5 minutes to the highway so it was an easy in and out as we ventured around town. We brought our bikes so the bike trail was just down the street that led us to downtown Madison so that was a nice surprise. I will highly recommend this place to stay to others.

This property was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable for our family of 4. Waking up to the lake view every morning was incredible! The sunsets were amazing! We especially loved the access to the trail. The host was an excellent communicator and quickly answered all of my questions. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay here again!

Beautiful lakeside home. Well fitted with all the essential white ware and electronics needed. The private jetty is a pleasant spot to have a morning coffee or watch the sunset and the back patio is perfect for chilling with family or friends. The location is handy to local restaurants and bars, snd only 20 minutes from downtown Madison. We really enjoy the property and our stay here.

Beautiful home - better than expected with a good view of the lake. The lake, however, is very shallow and full of seaweed by the dock. We were able to kayak but that was the extent of it. Although not listed as an amenity, note that you do not have access to the washer and dryer.

Our stay at the lake house in McFarlan was absolutely wonderful. It was even better than the pictures, which is rare to say. The property was beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was perfect — quiet, peaceful, and right on the lake, with the kind of setting that makes you slow down and truly enjoy where you are. It felt private, serene, and beautifully maintained. Honestly, the whole experience made me want a lakehouse just like it for myself.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway.

What a lovely place to spend a few days with family! There was so much to do within a short distance but we loved being able to just chill on the water. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to visit again. Would highly recommend!

Excellent weekend getaway

Clean and comfy cottage getaway

The cottage is a great location, hiking trail, restaurants and pubs in walking distance, and short drive to Madison. It is well-furnished, comfortable and is located on the water with great views. My friends and I would highly recommend this property.

Great Thanksgiving stay

Wonderful accommodations with beautiful view. Great open space and kitchen allowed us to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner for the family. We appreciated the visit from the bald eagles too!

What a lovely home with great design. We enjoyed 3 days of fishing, exploring Madison and relaxing on the back deck. Fantastic accommodations all around and especially amazing for my 2 year old who was spoiled with her own room, pack n play and loved running around the backyard.
