About Jason T

My wife and I purchased this property in the Fall of 2015. We are both Michigan natives and have enjoyed going 'Up North' for most of our lives. It was in highschool that we first discovered Pentwater and then were fortunate enough to 're-discover' it nearly 25 years later. We live in the suburbs of Detroit and love that it only takes about 3 1/2 hours to get to Pentwater.

Jason T purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Jason T chose Pentwater

This property was perfect for us because we saw the potential that it had and are always up for a project! For us, the location is the perfect mix of a quiet get-away with a wooded setting, while having access to the great association amenities and the beautiful town of Pentwater. We have been updating/renovating the house since last Fall. While all the major work is complete, there are still some minor projects (exterior painting, etc.) we will continue to work on this year.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet community!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying in this newly updated cottage! We walked or drove the short way to the community beach on Lake Michigan each night to watch the sunsets and then went back later to see the stars! The pool offered a great option and we used this almost every day! Our 2 teenage kids loved the upstair bedrooms and the view of the woods was wonderful! They said they felt like they were in a tree house! Short drive to both Pentwater and Ludington! The owners, Jason and Bonnie were wonderful and easy to communicate with!

delightful-just as described

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful place to stay. We've been vacationing in Pentwater area for 20+ years, and we would definitely return to Jason's cottage. It is clean, comfortable, cozy, and although it sets near other homes and the road, it feels private. We enjoyed the screened porch and deck. The kitchen is well-stocked; the linens are good quality comfort, and the furniture is nice. It's also nice to have a washer and dryer. We walked through the neighborhood to tennis and to the beach for swimming and viewing sunset. Plus, it's an easy drive into Pentwater village for the farmer's market and quaint shopping. The well water is horrible, but Jason warns about that and that's all of Duna Vista. Jason provided drinking water and that made a big difference to us. We're glad we found this place. If you're looking for a 3 bedroom/1 bath nice home within walking distance to the beach, we highly recommend!

The house and location was perfect, we hope to return again!

The area was private and quiet but close to town. Beach access was perfect and the house was clean, comfortable and ideal for a family of four with room to spare--it had everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation.

Fabulous Lake Michigan getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 were lucky enough to find this wonderfully decorated cottage in a beautiful wooded setting. The owners were more than accommodating, responsive and made the rental process very easy. The cottage had plenty of room and was fully stocked with more than enough linens/utensils/dishes/cookware/appliances and more. It was very clean throughout. The sun porch was amazingly serene - felt like a tree house. The most surprising attribute was being surrounded by so many trees and not battling mosquitos and bugs. We enjoyed the fire pit and new gas BBQ grill on the roomy deck.

The association pool and beach access were icing on the cake. Amazingly easy access to the Lake with the sidewalk on the beach. The beach area was never crowded, just enough families and visitors enjoying those beautiful sunsets. The pool was well kept and clean and again never crowded. We walked to the beach area and enjoyed seeing several deer and wild turkeys.

We've stayed in Ludington before but this was our first time to Pentwater. It is smaller and more quaint - but with plenty to do/shop/see. We were minutes from mini-golf, go-karts, restaurants, and shopping in Pentwater.

Would highly recommend this relaxing getaway and hope to return!
