About Marianne Mabry West
This condominium was our father's retirement home. Now his three daughters and granddaughter continue to love this condo. The surfboard on the wall is his granddaughter's first and is very special to her. She is currently in grad school so not spending much time in Maui. The sisters get to come spend time occasionally. We hope you enjoy our condo as much as we do.

Why Marianne Mabry West chose Kihei
Kihei is a great location with excellent beaches and parks as well as shopping and restaurants. It is located across the isthmus from Kahului and the airport - close enough for convenience, far enough to be away from it all. The unit has a comfortable layout with great ocean and beach views. It is surprisingly private for being part of a small resort. There are the small conveniences of in-unit laundry, trash chutes so you don't have to haul trash to the ground floor, a book exchange on the third floor, as well as the big items - the rooftop deck set up for barbecue side dining while enjoying 360 degree island views and the best sunset in town, lovely pool and grounds, the trade winds, and of course, being RIGHT on the water without crossing the highway.

Great place to stay
This condo was a perfect size for my family of four. The ocean view was spectacular. Watching sea turtles during breakfast and the sunset views from our balcony made for some special memories. The condo came well equipped with all the beach outing necessities. The kitchen was well diverse in kitchen tools. Over all, we would definitely stay here again. Aloha!
Thank you for being such great guests and for selecting our family condo for your stay in paradise. Marianne and the rest of the family
Comfortable Condo with Gorgeous View
Aloha! We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable condo! We were welcomed to the place with a tray of Hawaiian treats, which was a fun surprise! The deck and main bedroom have a beautiful view of the coastline and sunsets. The kids loved the puzzles, games and sand toys and we were glad we didn't have to pack bulky beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, hot pot and essentials for our week in Kihei. It was so nice to have 2 bathrooms too. The pool was very clean and warm with plenty of seating and shade options. The grounds are very well kept up and one part of the beach access leads to the Ko'ie'ie Fishpond where honu like to hang out. The parking is in the middle of the curved building and we could always get a spot near the elevator, which moved quickly (we stayed at a place before that took 2 minutes for the doors to close). Grocery stores, local markets, and restaurants (Maui Brick Oven is all gluten free!) are less than a mile away. For some reason we couldn't find the coffee filters, but used the French press instead, which made great coffee.
Thank you Marianne and family for making us feel at home in Maui! Mahalo!
We are very happy you enjoyed your stay. Coffe filters should have been in the cupboard directly over the coffee pot so if you could not find them it means they did not get restocked. I will bring that to our on island contacts attention. Mahalo for selecting our family condo. Marianne Jeanette Kurt Makenzie and Elizabeth
I would highly recommend to anyone
Thanks for being such great guests, glad you had a good time. The Mabry Family
A roach invasion = a bad experience
The location was great but the place was infested with roaches. We had small kids with us and had to worry about anything they might have dropped. The silverware drawer was so badly infested, we had to wash the items again before we could use them each time. We called the property manager and she did try to get the exterminators out but the problem actually got worse. On one of our last days there she brought over more roach traps but it was too late to make a difference. Also there was no ventilation in either bathroom and both vents were full of dirty old lint. I let the owner know what we thought but never got a reply, even after 2 weeks since our return.
Apparently something was going on that made roaches be an issue. I do not know how slow vrbo is to forward emails but I responded to you. I know they did not notify me that I had an email from you . I found the email when the next guest checked out. (7 days later) I had requested , as I do all guests, that you contact me by phone or text with any concerns. Other than the initial contact which I responded to by reaching out to our on island person Deb Guimond and to the management of the complex regarding the problem. I was told Deb sent the cleaners in to wash the silverware drawer, if that did not happen I need to know that. We had the unit deep cleaned and did some serious exterminating after you left and are hoping that solved the problem. Keeping a very close eye on the issue. It is possible that the unit upgrading that was done in the next door unit is where the roaches came from since we did not have a problem prior to your visit. Cardboard boxes are a prime source for roach investations and there were a lot of boxes brought into that unit. Hawaii is tropical and the complex provides monthly pest control and the unit had been treated just the day before you arrived. I deeply regret that you had this unfortunate experience but greatly appreciate all your efforts to help with the problem. With regards to the bathroom vents, i reached out to the complex management and they responded they are working. I have reached out to our on island manager to follow up with the cleaners to make sure the vents are being cleaned regularly. Marianne
Great condo for families with kids
This was a great condo to visit for my family. My husband and I brought our six-year-old twin boys and my mother-in-law. The condo has everything we needed for a great vacation! There were plenty of beach supplies and kitchen supplies. The view and the lanai were amazing — the photos on VRBO actually don’t do this place justice. The beaches were ideal for kids: there is a calm beach blocked by a reef right in front of our condo where we spent most of our time, and then beaches with nice surf on either side. The pool was also perfect and always had a little shade.
Although this is something I never say, the pullout couch was surprisingly comfortable. We loved the breeze from outside and didn’t even move into the back bedroom when my mother-in-law left two days before we did.
This condo was really great and we hope to return again some day!
Thank you for being such wonderful guests, Marianne, Jeanette, Kurt, Elizabeth and Makenzie
Perfect stay in Maui
The property was exactly as described. It was perfect for our family of 4. Our daughter slept in the second bedroom and our son took the pull out sofa bed.
The kitchen was great and stocked as described. It was wonderful to have beach chairs and coolers to use for our daily outings. I am going to miss waking up to the Georgeous ocean view every morning.
We are very happy you enjoyed your visit, Mahalo for selecting our family condo, Marianne, Jeanette, Elizabeth ad Makenzie
