Mermaid Landing à Pirate Cove, une retraite en bord de mer!

Le mélange parfait de détente et d'aventure vous attendent dans cette charmante rivière retraite Old Florida! Mermiad Landing est l'unité de bas étage dans une maison de 2 étages appelé Crique des Pirates. Entrée privée, kayaks privés, canoë et paddleboard, deux VTT et tous les conforts de la maison. Découvrez la beauté naturelle de la rivière de cristal clair Weeki Wachee par kayaks, paddleboard ou en canoë à partir de votre arrière-cour et profiter de la brise à partir du quai ou dans la cour !! Accueil propose un lit queen dans la chambre principale, un canapé-lit en coupe dans le salon. 2 kayaks pour une personne, un kayak tandem, un paddleboard et un petit canot pouvant accueillir 1 adulte ou deux enfants sont inclus dans votre séjour pour une promenade facile dans la rivière aux eaux cristallines, les restaurants et la zone de loisirs locale.
Nous proposons également l'utilisation de nos kayaks totalement transparents moyennant des frais supplémentaires. Il y a de nombreux restaurants, boutiques et lieux de divertissement à quelques minutes de route, dont le WORLD FAMOUS WEEKI WACHEE MERMAID au parc national de Weeki Wachee Springs, qui abrite également le parc aquatique Buccaneer Bay! plage de Pine Island est à 10 minutes en voiture où vous pourrez profiter du soleil sur le sable ou regarder un beau coucher de soleil. Il y a des pistes cyclables à proximité. Les bateaux peuvent être loués à des prix très raisonnables à seulement 10 minutes à Hernando Beach pour une journée de pêche ou échancrure dans la saison! Un peu plus près est Rogers Park, une petite plage de sable sur la rivière accompagné d'un restaurant en bord de rivière adjacente. Ou rester à la maison et grill sur le quai pendant que vous regardez le saut de poisson local et de voir les lamantins nager. Il est WiFi, une télévision par câble à écran plat, et des jeux pour votre divertissement à la maison. Vous pourrez partager le quai, garage et buanderie. We really enjoyed our stay. We loved using the kayaks and being able to launch from the house. Very close by to everything you'd want to see. Easy check in, the unit had just what we needed, and communication was very responsive. And a lovely view!

Great Place Right On the Water

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and the 3rd time we have been to the area. We love it here! You cannot beat the access to the river, with kayaks included for this price. So so worth it!

Nice little river front getaway for a couple

The mermaid themed stay was very clean and as depicted in the listing. There is an upstairs house that was occupied by another couple. Lots of kayaking on the small river behind house. The nearby Italian restaurant is good too.

This was our first trip to Weeki Wachee and the Mermaid Landing was the perfect accommodations. You really get a taste of Old Florida I especially love the creative force that went into the Mermaid Cove. The place was spotless and included everything you would need. Perfect Retreat!

Lovely, quiet property on the canal with easy kayak access to the Weeki Wachee River! Full kitchen, roomy quarters, kayaks, paddles and life jackets included! Nice shaded deck on the canal, plus large screened in patio with a dining table and chairs - indoor or outdoor dining! Italian restaurant and gas station just down the street!

Just What We Needed

The house was so cute and cozy! It was very clean and fresh. We had everything we needed plus more. The property owners were so accommodating and nice! They responded to any messages within minutes And really made us feel welcome and comfortable. We cannot wait to come and stay again. It was the perfect getaway.

Great place to stay!

We stayed 2 nights to come visit the mermaids! Everything was as described! It’s much better than an inexpensive hotel that leaves much to be desired. The house is directly on the water. 2 docks to fish off of, sit and drink coffee. Plenty of kayaks and bikes for everyone. We saw plenty of wildlife in the area. We even had a manatee cruise by Saturday morning! Overall a very relaxing place if you love to be on the water!

A wonderful time!!

We had a great time at Mermaids Landing! The accommodations were just as described, the space was cozy, and we loved the decor. The location is great, and we had some fun rides on the kayaks over beautiful scenery, we were entertained by jumping fish and fishing on the dock, wish there was lighting for nighttime activity. Teressa, the housekeeper, was very kind on the day of check-in. It was nice to have laundry and bikes available. We would definitely stay again, thank you!

Nice getaway

We stayed at this property for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. Only 10min away from weeki watchee park. Plenty of kayaks available at the property and only a couple minutes paddle to crystal clear water. The kids had an awesome time swimming and paddeling around. House was very clean and enjoyed sitting outside. We stayed in the downstairs unit, only downfall was you can really hear people walking around upstairs.

Weekend Getaway

Nice little get away. Didn't realize it was a shared property when we booked but we got along well with the other guests and made some new friends. The ramp to the floating dock does need some anti-slip tape, I slipped and fell on my rear, quick reflexes avoided a possible injury. Overall a good experience!

the day before check in, My reservations were "misplaced" & re routed to another property .the replaced location was much smaller unit from reserving a 1 bedroom (2) rooms, with eat in Kitchen switched to a one room Efficiency & out door bathroom, etc.

A Christmas 🎄 getaway

From the outside, one wouldn't know how adorable the lower level is. After we entered the code, the door unlocked, and we saw a lovely Mermaid getaway that was just perfect for our Christmas 🎄 getaway for the two of us. The only downside was the constant running of some pump in the laundry room, abd the 3rd evening, the family that stayed upstairs were a bit loud. Other than this, we kayaked, took short sightseeing jaunts, and dined at several local tasty restaurants. We will definitely come back! The neighborhood appears "sketchy" but the people were wonderful.

We had a great time, we needed some assistance with getting in but mostly because I didn’t check my email,and she got back to us very quickly. The air conditioner is very loud in the downstairs apartment but once we cleared the pipe in the water of debris it became a bit better. That would be the only complaint

Amazing family vacation!!!

This was hands down the best trip! The place was beautiful and right on the river with a great deck to relax and unwind. We had our 19 month old and he was able to play safely in the porch and out front with the nice quiet road. The place had everything we needed and more it was an absolute dream i will say a smidge noisy when your on the first floor if someone upstairs has heavy footsteps but honestly everyone was super respectful and kept the noise very reasonable. My family will definitely be coming back! Also want to mention for kiddos there is so many fun parks so close by less then 10 minutes plenty of entertainment for babies and kids! If your thinking about coming here with your family JUST DO IT it’s absolutely worth it!!!!

Jason and Andrea are lifelong Florida residents. They both grew up in South Florida in the 1970-80's and recall that Old Florida that seems to be disappearing. Both have a deep love for Florida and could not imagine living anywhere else. Jason and Andrea have been married since 1994 and have loved taking travel adventures for anniversaries and family trips. They love finding places to explore with character and beauty , packed with neat things to see and do and are affordable.

In 2010, the family went on it's first Nature Coast adventure, tubing on the Ichetucknee River and scalloping in Steinhatchee. What a blast! In subsequent summers, the family explored Crystal River, Suwanee River, Homosassa Springs and finally Weeki Wachee Springs / Hernando Beach. Weeki Wachee was by far the favorite with its natural surroundlings, waterfront location, proximity to the river, gulf attractions, restaurants and shops. They returned the next year to the same vacation rental home. Since the previous years stay, a lot of thought had been given to purchasing a similar property in Weeki Wachee and purchased Mermaid Cove on W. Richard Drive. (VRBO # 747599) After a year of success and a growing family they discovered this property around the corner and fell in love with the location, size and many unique qualities!

Weeki Wachee River Retreats, where "Mermaid Landing" is located is located in the middle of State and National forest preserved lands. The gulf coast is only 10 minutes away, town with all the conveniences is only 10 minutes the other direction. Local attractions include kayaking, cycling, boating, fishing, scalloping and exploring. The entire Nature Coast has so many natural beauties to discover. Mermaid Landing sits right on the water. The Living areas and screen porch overlook the water. The dock offers a peaceful and relaxing place to sit. and watch mullet spring out of the water and manatees cruise by The water is lovely to swim in and the river is a very short paddle away . The river is navigable for small boats such as a pontoon, bowrider or fishing boat and is conveniently close to the gulf. The neighbors are wonderful and the vacationers are friendly. What better location could there be? This is the "Old Florida" that Jason and Andrea grew up in and have now rediscovered!
Whether you are planning a cozy getaway or hosting a large group, Pirate's Cove has the place for your next vacation! Mermaid Landing is a 1/1 that can accommodate up to 4 guests! Upstairs in the 2/1 Captain's Quarters there is space for 7 to stay comfortably. Both are set apart from each other and private yet if needed the entire space can be used for a larger party such as a family reunion. Watch wildlife, fish jumping and manatees swim by from your backyard dock and paddle easily to the crystal clear Weeki Wachee River.
