Come and stay at our fabulous cabin by the river.
Historic 1920's Riverfront vacation cottage in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Located just outside downtown Estes Park on the banks of the Big Thompson River. Picturesque surroundings with towering Ponderosa pines, the Canyon, and the Big Thompson river!
Our property is unique as there are not many original 1920's cottages left in the area.
Decorated tastefully in a seashell and nautical theme, you will enjoy this newly decorated abode. The bathroom is graced with a claw foot tub and shower. From the light fixtures the claw foot tub, you won't find another like it!
Great furniture, appliances, and comfortable mattresses !
A picnic area is provided in front of the cottage beside the river. The Big Thompson River is very wide at this point and there is even a small island in the middle right in front of the property. There is a family of ducks living at this point in the river. It is known to be one of the best fly fishing areas too and you have private entry to the river!
Behind the cabin, there is steeper terrain with many rock outcropping, very scenic! A very large rock formation can be found to the right rear of the cabin. Beautiful scenery from every single window.
We have been renting on 3 properties for the past 10 plus years. See our excellent reviews and feedback from our previous and repeat visitor guests. We provide the best rental experience for our guests.
NO CLEANING FEES- This is a owner operated cabin business. We (the owners) clean the cabins and ensure that the guests get the best experience during their stay. Most cabin owners charge exorbitant cleaning fees and pass these costs to you . We do NOT charge cleaning fees since we want to give the most economical rates to our guests. However, we expect guests to leave the cabin in the same condition they found it. This means that the cabin is left reasonably clean (garbage appropriately disposed, refrigerators and ovens cleaned) and it does not take us more than 3 hours to clean the cabin for the next guests.
THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING in this CABIN. However, this cabin is located by the river and inside the canyon that remain cool even during hot summer days. We have windows that open, and fans that allow guests to enjoy the fresh mountain air.
This is a non-smoking, no pets facility. IF YOU ARE A SMOKER or a would like to bring a PET please find alternate accommodations. If you SMOKE or BRING a PET, YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT and ALSO be charged additional damage.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY is 4 guests. This cabin accommodates 2 adults and 2 children comfortably.

About Janet Newman Ali at SeaShell River Cabin
I have always dreamed of owning a rental cottage. When I was a child, I used to stay in the deep woods of Northern Michigan. These were the fondest memories of my life. I always adored the historic rental cabins that I saw on my trip. Providing a unique, memorable accommodation to make your vacation even more special has been a lifelong goal of mine. I also teach piano.
Janet Newman Ali at SeaShell River Cabin purchased this Cottage in 2006
Why Janet Newman Ali at SeaShell River Cabin chose Larimer County
We chose this beautiful location to buy a cabin as it was next to a large, rushing river and surrounded by towering Ponderosa Pines.

Perfect Cozy and Quaint Cabin on the Big Thompson River!
We loved our stay at the little red cabin. The setting in the woods on the river was simply beautiful. Sitting on the deck with the rushing river sooo close was so peaceful. LOVED the reclining patio chairs. The decor was charming and the cabin had everything we needed. Especially loved the claw foot bath tub and TV’s in three rooms.
Secluded but just minutes from shopping and dining. Cannot wait to go back. Owners very responsive!
Roaring River Cottage
We relaxed on the huge deck while drinking some wine and enjoying the breathtaking views of the Big Thompson river and heard the roar of the water flowing down the canyon. It was a relaxing and off the grid stay disconnected from computers and cell phones. Thank you for the added little amenities. The location was perfect and just a short distance from the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park and the town of Estes Park which has some wonderful restaurants and gift shops. Our time was short but so enjoyable.
The cabin was great for our trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park. It was close enough to everything but out of the bustle of the tourist crowd. We enjoyed our setting on the river and the quaint touches of the cabin.
Janet was very responsive and made sure our stay went smoothly.
Georgeous setting, Retro feel. Restorative & restful!
Not for the truck and RV crowd, this older cabin is nestled carefully among older cabins evoking a time when birdsong and river rumbling was the only noise of the day. Small but easily negotiated, kitchen, bath, and beds were all perfect. The deck is delightful as you watch your son catch a half-dozen trout while you cook on the grill. Less than two miles north of Estes, so perfect setting for restaurants & Rocky Mountain National Park. Would love to return!
Lovely Little Cabin
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the SeaShell River cabin. It was perfect for our Annivesary get away and close to everything in Estes Park & RMNP!!! We loved the snack basket and all of the hospitality we enjoyed while staying there. We also were able to meet your neighbors next door who were very nice. The whole experience was wonderful! My favorite part was listening to the river outside in the morning and evening! We hope to be back to visit soon!!!
