We have 3 children (ages 4-10) and all of us enjoy the many different water activities at the river. There is tubing, fishing, sailing, swimming, water skiing, and just relaxing! Something for everyone!
Why Katherine chose Deltaville
Just a short drive from Richmond, Williamsburg, and the surrounding area. My husband and son are avid fisherman. They enjoy being able to fish from the dock as well as the easy, quick access to the Chesapeake Bay, which is known for its great fishing. Enjoy the Virginia Oyster Trail while you visit!
What makes this House unique
Waterfront, large screened in porch with 2 fans, boat access, crab pots, kayaks, bikes, floats, and local shopping/antiquing.

Perfect in everyway
House was perfect beautiful waterviews and screen porch the beds were very comfortable with plenty of supplies in kitchen & bath...we definitely will be back.. thank you for an awesome place our first homeaway experience was a pleasure..💘💘
We had a great time at the house with our family. Crab pots, fishing poles and kayaks were wonderful additions. The house is a little older but the updates seem as if they are in progress. The air was a little musty when we first arrived but after running the AC and fans it cleared up some. Would recommend staying at this house. Great place for kids
Great week in Deltaville!
My wife and I stayed at this cottage last August. She's not from the area, so I wanted to show her the Chesapeake properly, and this place didn't disappoint - some of the most beautiful views of any place I've stayed on the Chesapeake. Also, we really enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the river for site seeing and fishing. Plus, we've got a little one on the way, and it seems like a great place for kids to swim and enjoy the water, so we'll come back for that to be sure. House was supplied with everything we needed-kitchens supplies, linens, towels, etc.
Quiet, relaxing vacation
We vacationed with our son and his wife and enjoyed the beautiful area. The screened porch was our favorite spot in the evenings. We loved the grass, able to play a few yard games and enjoy the water views. Deltaville is a very small town which was just what we were looking for. The hostess was great she replied to my few questions quickly. Our only disappointment was there was only one adult kayak and found it a bit inconvenient to have to bring our trash to the transfer station as we had a very long drive home on the last day. But other than that I would recommend highly.
I hope you will stay again! We purchased another adult kayak :)
Review of Deltaville property
Overall, it was a good experience. The only problems that we experienced are: 1) the adult kayak was leaking, and taking on water and needs to be repaired; 2) the pot for cooking the crabs we caught had a hole in it and was leaking when we cooked the crab; 3) the outdoor swing was knocked over in a storm the first night we were there, but we set it back up and it was usable; 4.) the handle was loose in the master bath room; 5.) the jets in the tub in the master bathroom threw out rust water. Otherwise, the place was great and we had a great stay. Basically, it was wonderful.
Thank for you letting us know about these problems and we have had them fixed. We appreciate you bringing them to our attention!
