We have 3 children (ages 4-11) and all of us enjoy the many different water activities at the river. There is tubing, fishing, sailing, swimming, paddle boarding, and just relaxing! Something for everyone!
Katherine purchased this House in 2016
Why Katherine chose Deltaville
Just a short drive from Richmond, Williamsburg, and the surrounding area. My husband and son are avid fisherman. They enjoy being able to fish from the dock as well as the easy, quick access to the Chesapeake Bay, which is known for its great fishing. Enjoy the Virginia Oyster Trail while you visit!
What makes this House unique
Waterfront, large screened in porch with 2 fans, boat access, stand up paddle board, crab pots, kayaks, bikes, floats, and local shopping/antiquing.

With such a spectacularly inviting photo from the backyard of this Deltaville home, it is unmitigated joy to discover that the view is all that and more. Our grandchildren stayed at this charming river front home overlooking the serene and clear Piankatank River. There is a closely cropped grass ramp from the bank that leads down.to the dock and a small sand beach which the kids could not get enough of. They dung in the sand, they went on a kayak ride with their dad - very short duration as they were nervous. But their dad made it across the river and back. They loved the large grassy back yard, the kid swings, the water. They were in Paradise . . . As were the adults. There is much shade from a venerable oak. There are marvelous “adirondacks” for admiring the view or eating your picnic supper. The house is a charming cottage with the enchanting interior reflecting a shore theme. Lots of windows. A cottage-wide brick porch with sitting areas and small dining table. Kayaks were available. The kitchen was equipped. The owners have thought of everything. I cannot rate this place and this experience highly enough.
Loved the location, view, and the house!
This home is simply adorable! We had a wedding nearby and I could not have picked a better place. Clean, cozy, and did not need for anything. The beds were very comfortable . I wish I would have been able to stay a few more days. The yello kayak did have a bad leak in it and my daughter could not get the bike tires to pump up. This was not a big deal for us because we did not have that much time to do these activities. I would definately stay there again and I would recommend it to anyone!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for letting us know about the bike and kayak! We have purchased an electric pump and placed it in the renters closet and we took the kayak to be repaired.
So glad you had a great weekend! We hope you can stay with us again!
The owners went out of their way while we were up there celebrating our sons wedding!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us it was perfect!!!
Perfect in everyway
House was perfect beautiful waterviews and screen porch the beds were very comfortable with plenty of supplies in kitchen & bath...we definitely will be back.. thank you for an awesome place our first homeaway experience was a pleasure..💘💘
We had a great time at the house with our family. Crab pots, fishing poles and kayaks were wonderful additions. The house is a little older but the updates seem as if they are in progress. The air was a little musty when we first arrived but after running the AC and fans it cleared up some. Would recommend staying at this house. Great place for kids
Great week in Deltaville!
My wife and I stayed at this cottage last August. She's not from the area, so I wanted to show her the Chesapeake properly, and this place didn't disappoint - some of the most beautiful views of any place I've stayed on the Chesapeake. Also, we really enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the river for site seeing and fishing. Plus, we've got a little one on the way, and it seems like a great place for kids to swim and enjoy the water, so we'll come back for that to be sure. House was supplied with everything we needed-kitchens supplies, linens, towels, etc.
