Esta casa de campo diseñada por el arquitecto cuenta con un gran porche delantero y un maravilloso espacio para relajarse. Hay un gran patio de casi un acre y espacios de entretenimiento en abundancia. Relájese bajo el techo de madera natural del pórtico en forma de octágono que tiene iluminación empotrada. Los asientos y las mesas de mimbre son un lugar perfecto para las conversaciones nocturnas con amigos o familiares, y la mesa de comedor en el lado este del porche es un gran lugar para cenar en verano con vista al jardín delantero.
En la parte trasera de la casa hay una gran terraza abierta con un bistró para almuerzos soleados con vistas al amplio jardín trasero. Muros de piedra rodean la propiedad. Una cocina exterior con una gran parrilla de acero inoxidable es el lugar perfecto para preparar pescado fresco del mercado local o simplemente hamburguesas y perros. Hay un asador completo disponible para la parrilla si incluso quisiste hacer el pavo de Acción de Gracias.

Dentro de esta casa hay una cocina gourmet completa con electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable y todo lo que necesita para preparar cualquier cosa, desde el desayuno hasta una comida muy especial. Una estufa de gas de 6 quemadores y horno doble italiano está disponible para cocinar. Hay un refrigerador de acero inoxidable con máquina de hielo y dispensador de agua filtrada. El lavavajillas es una unidad de doble cajón de alta eficiencia. También hay un compactador de basura, triturador de basura, cafeteras (tamaño completo y Keruig), fregadero doble, fregadero y todos los utensilios de cocina. La gran escalera se extiende hasta tres pisos con una incrustación personalizada de una rosa de los vientos en el segundo piso y una gran lámpara de araña de bronce. El arte náutico presenta luces de imagen que actúan como iluminación nocturna.

El segundo piso tiene suites de dos dormitorios. La suite principal cuenta con una cama queen de caoba. Esta habitación también tiene un televisor de pantalla grande con televisión por cable, reproductor de DVD y una chimenea de gas. Pisos de madera y una extensión de luz llenan esta sala. Hay una cómoda y un gran armario forrado de cedro. Relájate en el cómodo sofá de cuero. Esta habitación tiene su propio aire acondicionado. Fuera del dormitorio principal es el baño principal. El baño cuenta con pisos de mármol verde, encimeras y ducha. La ducha de gran tamaño cuenta con tres cabezales de ducha y dos controles de ducha separados. Una bañera de hidromasaje también se encuentra en este baño para sumergirse y relajarse.

La otra suite en este piso cuenta con una gran sala ambientada en el estilo europeo del hotel. Esta habitación tiene techos estilo catedral y un armario de cedro. Esta habitación tiene su propio aire acondicionado. La cama de matrimonio está en un lado de la habitación alfombrada y el otro extremo se abre a una bañera / ducha de hidromasaje y un lavabo con pedestal con pisos de granito y baldosas. Hay una habitación separada para el baño.

La suite del tercer piso cuenta con una cama matrimonial y un área de descanso muy grande. Esto puede ser un lugar para una pequeña reunión de amigos o simplemente para leer y relajarse. En este piso hay un sofá seccional grande y cómodo y una mesa de café. Esta suite tiene su propio baño completo privado con pisos de baldosas y bañera / ducha. Esta suite tiene su propio armario y aire acondicionado.

La Suite Romance se encuentra a través de una escalera privada en el pasillo del primer piso. Cuenta con una escalera de roble que entra a un pasillo con azulejos italianos incrustados. Ingrese a la suite y un lado de la habitación cuenta con la cómoda cama queen size. Hay un gran armario forrado de cedro en este lado. El otro lado tiene su propia sala de estar con sofá de dos plazas, mesa de café y silla. Hay un televisor de pantalla plana con reproductor de DVD en esta habitación. Esta suite tiene su propio baño privado grande con bañera / ducha y lavabo con pedestal. Relájese y descanse en la sauna caliente que se encuentra en esta suite.

Great house for family gathering.

We all enjoyed our stay at the house. Each of the four bedrooms has its own bathroom as well. The yard is great too, and we all loved the porch for after dinner time to relax and enjoy the company of everyone.

Girls weekend get away

Fabulous location for our girls weekend get away. We were close to Newport to enjoy mansion tours and shopping. And conveniently close to wineries and a polo match. The house was very nice and we loved the wrap around porch.

Cozy and comfortable hiuse

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was close to everything and in a lovely neighborhood. We spent most of our time enjoying the wrap around porch. It was perfect for working and lazy day reading.

Great trip at a great house!

We stayed for the holiday weekend and the house was absolutely wonderful! Communication and working with Phil was wonderful and he answered every question or concern we had. Best part of the weekend was waking up with my tea, sitting on the wrap around porch by myself and taking in a sunrise. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

You won’t be disappointed!!

We rented this property for our daughters graduation at RWU. We wanted a place where our family could gather and spend time together. It is a beautifully kept home with an amazing wrap around porch. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. The owners were quick to respond with questions and even checked in with us after arriving to be sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property,

Great blend of old and new

A beautiful classic home with wonderful wrap around porches and large, flat, grassy yard with pleasant landscaping along the side. Large formal living and dining rooms. Well stocked kitchen. Large washer and dryer. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. We were there with 7 adults and 3 small children and had plenty of room.

Weekend with dear friends

We just returned from a wonderful weekend at this property. Four couples spent the weekend together enjoying a long overdue reunion. The property was beautiful and the house stunning. The kitchen was a marvelous gathering place as well as the large living room. The bedrooms were more than adequate with comfortable beds and delightful furnishings. All couples enjoyed a private bathroom. The location was close to Newport and we were able to enjoy the Cliff Walk. Hoping to return same time next year.

Beautiful home

We had a great stay at Phil and Kendra's place. The home was roomy and comfortable for our entire family. We enjoyed the beautiful wraparound front porch for coffee in the morning, and dinners in the evenings. The spacious back yard was a great spot to come back to after a day at the beach. The house is located on a part of the island that is part fo the Aquidneck Land Trust featuring open space and walking trails. Phil was wonderful to work with and always responsive. Highly recommended.

Our vacation/reunion/wedding passed by quickly and now joins our list of beautiful memories. The house and large property were perfect for our family, I do not know how it could have been improved. The location affords an easy drive to Newport, yet is in a bucolic setting away from the bustle of tourists. The large yard provided our granddaughter an outlet for her boundless energy. Although the interior of the house is very accommodating, we chose to enjoy the weather and spent the majority of our time on the wrap around porch.

Well suited for family gatherings

Our family welcomed the New Year in Phil and Kendra's beautiful home. The four bedrooms, each with their own full bath, were perfectly suited to our needs. Three of the bedrooms have comfortable sitting areas, two of which have TV and DVDs for the kids. The living room was a wonderfully inviting space to relax, catch up and play games. We ordered Italian from Rocco's on New Years Eve but prepared Chinese in the well equipped and spacious kitchen on New Years Day. The dining room can comfortably seat 8 for meals. It's a short ride to Sandy Point beach where you can park and stroll along the beach.

Deceiving Property

I’ve stayed in many VRBO's throughout the years and this is my first real disappointment. This dated property is advertised as a 4 bedroom but is technically a 3 bedroom as the 4th “bedroom “- has no door and is a 3rd floor open loft. Beds are small and uncomfortable. Some of our group ended up sleeping on various couches due to the discomfort and size of the beds. Basement bedroom is quite musty and towels do not dry out. My clothing started to smell musty after a few days even with the use of the humidifier on the A/C unit. . No TV in LR for rainy days - there is one in the kitchen and a few of the bedrooms. If you want to watch TV together you have to sit in the dining room or someone’s bedroom. For the daily rate, we would expect more attention to details such as the updated working fridge water filter to plates that actually fit the dishwasher. The owners took the amenities provided for us - our beach chairs were missing one day and when I let the owner know this, he said they had taken them for some of their guests. The only saving grace of this property is a beautiful wraparound porch, spacious yard and outdoor grilling area. Unfortunately this rental felt more like the owners covering their cost vs guests having a VRBO experience that we have come to enjoy over the years. We were looking forward to moving onto our second rental the next week.

Overall home is lovely 😊

My family stayed at this home for 3 nights. We had a family wedding in Newport. The house was situated in a beautiful residential location with a quick ride to beaches and Newport. We were a family of 7 and had plenty of space for privacy and gatherings. The house was clean and had all the comforts of home. The outside porch was the nicest feature. My only disappointment was the AC. Only 3 of the 4 bedrooms are air conditioned. The fourth bedroom which was in the basement does not have AC. The rest of the house does not have AC, even with the fans it was very hot and humid. I wouldn’t advise staying during humid weather. I was also unhappy with Peter’s response to my concern regarding the strong sewage smell in the master bathroom. I texted him informing him that the odor was very strong. He advised to run the bathtub water which will alleviate the problem. We did that for about 20 minutes it helped while the water was running. However once we shut the water the smell was back even worse. I texted Peter to inform him that the smell was worse. I told him we were leaving to attend our families wedding which was in Newport, and that we will be back later in the evening. Peter never responded to my text nor did he check in to see if the odor dissipated. The smell continued intermittently throughout the weekend. I didn’t reach out again because it was clear that this problem cannot be fixed by running bath water. Peter did not offer any other assistance nor did he check in to see if we were still having the problem. The sewage odor is a problem and needs to be addressed. Overall, the house is beautiful and very spacious to accommodate up to 8 people. It would be perfect if they would put AC throughout the house and address the sewage odor.

Great house, great stay

Stayed on the property with my wife and kids (ages 3 and almsot 2), my parents, and two of my parents friends and this house was perfect for us. Plenty of space for everyone to be able to spread out, get their own rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking tools you'd need if you are planning to stay in for a meal or two. The most enjoyable feature of this great house was the porch. We experienced some great weather while we were visiting and it was nice to get to sit out there and just enjoy the nice weather. The backyard was spacious enough, too, to let the little ones run around and burn off some energy. The location was great. We spent most of our time between Newport and Portsmouth and really everywhere we went was within 20 minutes. Appreciated being able to stay out of town but still be able to get everything so quickly. Great stay! Would recommend!

Nice Country Home

Home is very New England and in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. Was a cold weekend and the fireplaces were great. We had 4 adults and there was plenty of room. House is well stocked with everything you need. Would definitely return.

Amazing Newport Weekend

Visited Newport RI with my family and stayed at this wonderful home about 15min away. The home was clean, spacious and had everything a family needs to enjoy a weekend together. Would 100% recommend and return, especially this time of year.

Perfect Family Getaway

From start to finish, our stay was easy and relaxing. The house is spacious and absolutely gorgeous and the (almost) wrap-around porch did not go un-utilized. We spent many hours in the huge backyard playing games and the surrounding neighborhood is beautifully rural and open. Newport was easy to get to and from as well. Highly recommend for any family looking for a relaxing stay with plenty to do in the surrounding area.

Great property on Aquidneck Island

This property worked well for our group of family and friends. The wrap-around porch was great for meals and for relaxing. We also appreciated gas grill and the ample parking. The house is close to beaches and restaurants, and to Sweet Berry Farm. Thanks for a great stay!

Spacious home, ideal for adult groups

The home was the perfect getaway for our group. The dining room accommodated eight adults easily and a living room with plenty of seating. Lots of outdoor space and in the summer imagine the wrap around porch only adds to the enjoyment. We had no issues with WiFi (mentioned in a previous post).

Enjoyable vacation rental

This is a beautiful home with many excellent features, situated on a spacious suburban lot. We were three couples of 2 generations and we very much enjoyed our 5 nights there. We’d happily return, though possibly requesting a slightly lower rate. The 10AM checkout with request that we clean all our linens before leaving caused a bit of a scramble on our last day. Another review comment notes the lack of basement AC, which was an issue for us in August. The wireless internet was weak enough to be an inconvenience. Nice if the attractive piano were playable. The outdoor kitchen was great, as were the multiple areas to eat and drink, both inside and out. Owner very responsive on minor issues, all easily resolved.
