About this property

Woodland Vacations Little Bear is a charming small home with a stunning view of Whiteface Mountain located in Wilmington, NY. This new construction vacation rental is minutes from Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. We provide a cozy rental near all the wonders of the Adirondacks. Little Bear is a two bedroom and one bath home. The first bedroom has a queen bed with access to shared balcony with the other bedroom, that has a stunning view of whiteface mountain and the sunset. You will be greeted by our two wooden bears on the railing with Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Our second bedroom has a queen bed with studding view of Whiteface mountain and the sunset. This bedrooms shares the same balcony as the other bedroom. The house has plenty of outlets for all your plug in needs. Little Bear accommodates 2-4 people comfortably but our convertible sofa can accommodate that additional smaller guest. The first floor has an open concept and allows the space to feel much larger. The kitchen is stocked with the basics and includes fridge, oven/range, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker to make a quick meal to enjoy there or on the go. The large window in the livingroom provides wonderful light and awesome views. The bathroom has good space and rustic charm to it with log stone sink. Our home is equiped with wireless internet. Little Bear is non-smoking and pet friendly. Each room has a flat screen tv's for your viewing pleasure. Each room includes air conditioning and is well heated for the winter. It is fully furnished by our own Woodcutter Rustic and Woodland Designs. You will find our tiny home has all the Adirondack charm throughout.
The Little Bear grounds is an open but wooded area. It has a great space for parking. Off the deck you will find a charcoal grill. In the middle of the property sits a large fire pit with Adirondack seating. There is a hot tub off the deck as well. You will not be disappointed in this relaxing atmosphere with stunning views.

Property was great! Everything you could ask for and the view from the balcony is great! Perfect distance to get to the area attractions Whiteface mtn. Lake Placid, Ausable Chasm. It was a great Vacation.

Weekend getaway

Stayed at this charming house rental for two nights to enjoy some snowshoeing and Lake Placid. Easy drive to the village. Hot tub was a nice ending to the day. Cozy, comfortable, and we all had a nice time😊

Great cabin close to skiing/fishing/hiking

We loved our stay — quaint and cozy with such a nice cabin vibe. Only about 10 minutes away from Whiteface Mountain and you can’t beat the private hot tub. A great jumping off point to many activities (we visited in the winter but fishing and hiking access was within minutes as well). We will definitely back to stay in the summer!

Just Okay

The cabin could be ideal if it weren’t located so close to a surprisingly heavily traveled road. The traffic noise was obnoxious. There were some other easily resolved issues that should be attended to such as the missing screens for the front windows, the badly worn cookware, and the non functioning toaster. Install some closet bars to hang clothing , and mirrors in the bedrooms and some hooks in the bathroom for towels. The space was not very clean especially the staircase which was covered in sandy grit. We will not return.

Cozy cabin

Small cozy cabin that my wife and dog used to sleep in. We didn’t spend much time there because we were out hiking and walking lake placid. But view is nice and has everything you need for a short stay.

Great experience

I stayed here with my fiancé to mainly see the mountains and get some fresh air from the city. Perfect spot if you need to see the white face mountain. It took us less than 3 minutes to drive there. Hot tub was clean and well kept. The patio has a great view also. Animals are allowed so if you do have an allergy it may not be the best place. I would still return because it was worth it.

Great Stay! (Again)

This cabin was perfect for my wife, son, and I. We actually stayed in their other cabin next door last year, so we knew what we were getting, and once again, we were not disappointed! My family enjoys the hot tub & you can’t beat the view of Whiteface while you’re soaking in it. One more thing to mention- even the fire wood that was dropped off for us to use was amazing (dry, burned really well, and a lot of it!) …the owners brother brought the wood to us- very friendly. This whole family is born & raised in Wilmington, really hard working and well known in the community ….needless to say, we’ll be back! -Chris from Buffalo, NY

Great location

Our family really enjoyed staying at The Little Bear. The cabin was clean and very accomadating. The owners have truly thought of every detail you wiuld need to make your stay comfortable. In walking distance to alot of attractions. Would definately stay again.

Cozy cabin in Wilmington

Stayed here with my girlfriend and another couple of friends. Nice fit for us 4 looking for a little base of operations in the region. Relaxing cabin had a hot tub and a firepit for hanging out after a day of hiking. Very clean when we arrived. Real close to a couple restaurants, gas station, general store. Highway to top of Whiteface a short drive away! Main shopping/restaurant strip of Lake Placid also only a few mins away. Would stay again!

Great getaway!

We visited for the weekend and were looking for a Adirondack feel cabin and found the perfect spot. The house was cute and tidy. We very much enjoyed the large fire pit since we had some warmer weather. Hot tub worked great and views were nice. Walked across the street to the tavern for dinner, which was convenient. Would recommend and would stay again! Thanks for a nice getaway in the mountains.

Great cabin getaway

Really enjoyed our stay with friends. Hope was very accommodating when the hot tub didn’t seem to heat up and got the issue fixed very quickly. Would stay here again.
