We had a great time while staying at the River Bunker on our family vacation.

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to find a central location where we could enjoy a week with our two adult sons and their families. The River Bunker worked out perfectly for us. We found it to be spacious, well maintained and very clean. With the wide front gates closed the fenced yard was great for our dogs. The covered rear deck was a wonderful spot to just sit and enjoy the river and the view of the gorge. The dock, kayaks and stand up paddle boards made playing in he river very enjoyable for all. We found that we didn't want to leave although there is plenty to do nearby in Chattanooga.

Big Time Fun on the River

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at the River Bunker as a group of 15 for our 50th anniversary. Loved the property and the river. We added the pontoon boat; great decision as we had great fun touring the TN River, swimming and tubing. Owner, Aaron, was very responsive to our needs. One caution; be very careful pulling out of the property to the road as the high fence blinds the driver’s view.

Great property, great location.

  • 5 of 5

We really loved this house. It’s a fantastic location, the water is great and the yard is nice and flat for games and fun. It’s nice that it’s mostly all on one floor too. Fully stocked kitchen for making meals, and a nice covered porch for hanging out. Large televisions all over the house, large trash bin, and adequate lighting with plenty of replacement bulbs to use. Just be aware that when they say bunk beds, they mean full size bunk beds, so each bed will need to have two people sleeping in them to be able to sleep the full 16 people. We were there with 14 and were very comfortable. I would suggest bringing an awning to put up to keep the sun off while hanging out in the yard, we had a smaller 12x12 awning and I wished I had brought our larger one. The water was much nicer than we expected, we thought that there would be a current pushing us downstream, but there really wasn’t, it was just nice and cool. The only thing I would suggest to the owners is to cut the steel rail above the ladder you use to get out of the water at the dock because it’s easy to hit your head on it when climbing out of the water, even after you know it’s there. Easy drive to downtown Chattanooga and was a fun evening in the city for us. It was too warm for us to use the firepit, but there was wood in boxes available. All in all we had a blast. 5 stars!

Wonderful Property

  • 4 of 5

Space was great and hosts were awesome. Few nuances, “pull outs” weren’t real beds. One was a leather couch and the other is a futon. Also the layout of the home makes it difficult to walk around.

It was a nice place for 9 people. Plenty of room

  • 4 of 5

It was a nice place. The house accommodated 9 of us. Plenty of room for everyone. The upstairs bedrooms doors do need a way to close them and they stay closed. Other than that, it's well stocked, beautiful views, and great fishing of the dock and banks. Fire pit was nice, would have been nicer if there had been chairs down there for the fire pit. Beds were very comfortable! Kitchen was well stocked. Overall we had a very nice Thanksgiving in this big house!!
