Mammoth Estates is located in the heart of it all, walking distance to the Village at Mammoth, in a quaint and quiet forest mountain setting. This single story two-bedroom, two-bath property is mountain luxury. This unit features a propane fireplace, granite counters, slate floors, stainless steel appliances, beautiful accents, and furnishings; views of the forest and gondola. This unit sleeps a maximum of 6 people, with a kind sign bed in the master, and a queen bunk bed, perfect for your family vacation. This unit is non-smoking and pets are not permitted. Short walk to the year round amenities Mammoth Estates has to offer such as the Game Room, Jacuzzi and Sauna. Take a plunge in the beautiful pool in hot summer months or just soak in the sun surrounded by beautiful landscape. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, Pilates and cycle studio and more. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. Our calendar is updated in real time. It was much nicer than the others in the complex that our friends stayed in. The only issue was the jacuzzi which was very dirty and smelled bad and the pool had a sign saying it was closed. That was disappointing thing.

Comfy Condo Close to Gondola

We stayed here for 4 nights in March 2018. This condo was a nice, warm, comfortable place to come back to after a day of skiing and snowboading. We rented equipment at the Village Center and stored our gear underneath the gondola entrance. The condo is a 5 min walk to the Village and gondola. We liked the updated amenities of this condo and the convenience. The check in process was easy. We took advantage of the kitchen and cooked breakfast and dinner in the condo. After a full day, we liked being able to come in, shower and leisurely eat and enjoy our apres-ski snacks and spirits at the condo. This is great for families or anyone traveling in a group. If we felt like dining out, the Village is a short walk. One thing to keep in mind is that waits at restaurants could be 2 hours, especially after a good snow. It was nice to not be trapped in a hotel room, relying on restaurants for meals. Bottom line, great place and we will stay here again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been staying at Mammoth Estates for years and this year was a bit disappointing. The condo itself was clean and good, but the pool, jacuzzi and rec room were dirty and not maintained. I made my kids get out of both because they were so awful. Ping pong table paddles were falling apart and balls were dented so it was useless to play.

Great condo, but VERY THIN WALLS!

This condo was very nicely decorated, clean, comfy beds, everything you'd need for cooking, lots of details thought about by the owner. However, this is a lower unit and the noise from the upstairs occupants was extremely loud. At times we could hear their conversation and kids yelling. It often sounded like they were pounding or walking in ski boots all evening. We did talk with them and they seemed not to know why it would be so loud. I really think it is just a matter of very thin walls without sound proofing the hardwood floors (on the upper unit - not the one we stayed in). However it did disturb our sleep. That said, I would have given our rented unit a full 5 stars as the condo itself was nearly perfect.

Reviewer Comments: WHEN WE ARRIVED, THERE WAS STILL CONSTRUCTION PAPER TAPED TO THE WALLS/CEILING & FLOORS WHERE THE WORKERS WERE REPAIRING AND PAINTING. THERE WAS CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS ALL OVER THE FLOOR IN THOSE AREAS. WE HAD TO CLEAN IT UP. THEN, WHEN WE WENT TO OPEN THE BEDROOM WINDOW, THERE WAS BROKEN GLASS SHARDS STILL ATTACHED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW. IT WAS SHARP AND SOMEONE COULD HAVE BEEN CUT. WE WEREN'T ABLE TO OPEN THE WINDOW AGAIN DUE TO THE DANGER OF OUR KIDS WHO WERE IN THAT ROOM. IT WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN MIND. IN ADDITION, THE ARTWORK AND TABLES MAKE THE CONDO VERY CROWDED AND SOMEWHAT DANGEROUS. THE LIGHTING HAS VERY SHARP POINTED ENDS STICKING OUT AND THE SABER ABOVE THE FIREPLACE IS REAL. FOR A RENTAL, THE OWNERS SHOULD STATE THAT IT IS NOT SAFE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Experience was poor. The unit above me was occupied and the tenant was ALWAYS making a racket - day and all night! Vacuuming the floor 4 times in 24 hours - twice during the day and twice at night. Jumping on the floors, dragging heavy things across the floor ... and so on. The roof/floorboards are thin and do not absorb noises and as a result we got NO SLEEP!

perfectly timed ski trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our mammoth estates apartment had a good floor layout with common lounging, dining and kitchen areas and private quiet bedrooms. The "bunk" bed set up was awesome because the two [large] beds aren't physically connected, so movement on one level has no effect on the other. Oh, and super comfy mattresses and blankets. The kitchen was well equipped. Took us 2 days to figure out the fire place because the notes say it is controlled by the thermostat. While it may be true that the thermostat temp has to be above 50 for it to go on, the trick is to hold the buttons to the left of the fire place for a long time, and try holding the off button and then hold the timer button. If you are a light sleeper and do not get up when the slopes open, you may be awoken by the upstairs neighbors in their ski boots. (We never heard neighbors through walls, just the outside and upstairs foot traffic, which was quite loud). They did a great job clearing the snow for parking, but if you have two cars, you might have trouble finding a second space if it has just snowed (We had no trouble finding one, but often got the last spot nearby). The only misleading thing about the photo is that it looks so bright in the photo, and it's quite dark. Also, note to owners - those throw pillows are absurd - they have no filler! but since that is my largest "complaint", you know it was overall a nice place - not super fancy, but very comfy. Oh and great location - you can either walk three blocks down to gondola, or go straight across the main street to catch the bus up the mountain. (and use either to get back home). If you're not in ski boots, the walk up to Canyon Lodge is quick and pleasant.

It got pretty still, hot and stuffy at night, which made it hard to sleep. Bed had dips in it, also. Dirty entrances to front doors. Other than that it was ok place to stay. Lots of seating in living room, nice kitchen. Would have been great to have an earlier check in, at least at 4 pm instead of the usual 5 pm.

Noisy Neighbors

The condo was beautiful. Everything we could need was provided. Spotless and spacious. Great location, quick walk to the village. My only complaint is the upstairs neighbors are extremely loud. We could hear EVERYTHING, I mean everything. We could hear the toilets flushing, closet doors opening and closing, and the walking sounded like a stampede. I know this is at no fault of the owner, but when it's midnight and I'm trying to sleep, the noise is a real disturbance.
