This lakefront cabin is very peaceful and charming. It's tucked into a quiet cove, so swimming at the dock is easy and low stress. There are a variety of water toys available like kayaks, paddle boards, etc. which are all conveniently stored near the dock, so they don't have to be hauled a long way to get to the water. The cabin is cozy, comfortable and well stocked with plenty of bath and beach towels as well as kitchenware, board games, and good wifi. There is a huge covered porch with a lake view with comfortable seating and also outdoor dining tables on both the front and back sides of the cabin. Definitely recommend for a relaxing lake getaway. The host is very communicative and checked in with us a couple times to make sure everything was good.

We loved our stay in this quaint cabin. It was perfectly situated for our needs. Close to hiking, Radford and Virginia Tech, but still tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood on the river. Took the canoe out early one morning, even though it was cold on the water! Great communication with the host.

This is the second year we’ve stayed in this property and it’s wonderful. The house is clean and has everything you need. There are a lot of stairs to the lake area but I’m 45 and have no problem with them. The owner is easy to contact and replies quickly if there are any issues. We’ll definitely be back.

Relaxing Cabin Retreat

Our family of four had a great weekend stay. This marked our sixth consecutive year booking this cabin as a special gathering place to relax and catchup with our college-aged sons attending Virginia Tech. We love the location on the water and rustic feel of the cabin's interior. It's clean and well maintained. The owner routinely sends us a welcome message after we arrive to ask if we have what we need and ensure everything meets expectation. We will definitely return for another visit.

Great place to stay! Very nice accommodation and it had everything we needed. There was a minor issue with the lock when we arrived and Dwayne made everything more than right very quickly despite the late hour we arrived at. Would stay again!

Great little cabin

Had a great stay. It is a nice little cabin in a semi-secluded area. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped. We will definately look this one up next time we are in the area.

This is an absolutely beautiful spot—the home was welcoming, beautiful and comfortable. The area very peaceful and enjoyable. Everything one could wish for both inside and outside was provided. The boat dock very nicely accommodated our boat. Very happy we had the opportunity to enjoy a week at this place.

Great log cabin

The host was very helpful, and the home is lovely. Lots of stairs to get to and around in the cabin, but the setting is lovely, the home is very nice, and the host was really great.

We had a great stay! Peaceful and clean with comfortable furniture and a great gas fireplace for the chilly spring this year. Our trip was incredibly last minute and Dwayne (the host), could not have been any more accommodating! He was also easy to reach, quick to respond to any questions and very attentive. The back porch has a nice view of an "arm" off Claytor Lake with no neighbors behind to clutter the nature view. Inside, there is a treasure trove of games as well as linens and kitchenware/appliances on site. It was a cozy place to return to after traipsing around the region all day. I would not hesitate to rebook in the future.

Our family of five loved our stay at the cabin! Exactly as described online. Cabin had all things needed for fun on the lake, even had a s’mores bar that the kids loved! We came for a Tech football game weekend. Easy drive into Blacksburg from the lake. Would highly recommend staying at this property. Host was excellent!
