Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great stay in your cozy cabin! My family felt very comfortable. We loved the views and we had lots of fun in the hot tub! It was a very unique experience having all the boulders in our own backyard - we enjoyed climbing on them. We also loved all of our rooms. Thank you so much for making our saty in Big Bear a great experience!

Beautiful, warm, cozy, perfect location. Can't wait to go back.

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't help but smile the minute we opened the door. The cabin looks like a home you would see in a decorator magazine. It is so warm and cozy...even more impressive than the pics on your website. Such a nice break for my husband and I. We have 3 young boys, we could just let them go. The cabin is very secluded (and safe, no thru streets/no cars), yet it is in close proximity to everyting. Don't think you can find a more perfect location!! There is something to do every minute, yet is also very tranquil. Although it is perfect for families with kids, I think we're coming back alone next time, it is also very romantic. We could just picture ourselves peacefully hanging out on the deck sharing a bottle of wine overlooking the beautiful view of the lake. Bridget, you were so accomodating, don't know if you decorated the house or you had it done, but it is breathtaking the minute you walk in the door. What a treat!!! The whole family loved it, loved it, loved it!!!! Thank you so much!!

Relaxing weekend

  • 5 of 5

Great place to settle in for a weekend with your girlfriends and do nothing. Easy hikes and great views. It is in a very quiet location with just a few houses on the same dead-end street. Small kitchen and bathroom but who wants to spend their time in those places. Great sitting table outside with fantastic views. Only thing I felt missing was a swing to sit in on the front porch. Great place to come back to when it snows.

  • 5 of 5

Bridget You don't realize or maybe you do, that you have a gem amongst the trees.

I melted away years of stress in a matter of days staying here. The views

are spectacular, the cabin soooo cozy. I will recommend to everyone that I

know; if they're heading to Big Bear this is the place to stay

Thanx for everything

Cozy cute cabin perfect for family

  • 5 of 5

Great cozy space, perfect for our family of 3. Loved the fireplace and spa, was super clean, fully stocked, and the owner was very responsive. Internet was spotty at best, but we had a hotspot so not an issue for us. Great location near downtown and close to direct lake access.

Quaint cabin with the mountain feel we were looking for

  • 4 of 5

This cabin is adorable, has a nice size kitchen and living area. Both bedrooms are nice as well, the upstairs loft bedroom is really cute. The bathroom is small... it's more about how the bathroom is setup - there would be more room if the towel rack was removed (but it is very cute, so I get why the owner has it there). Overall, it's a great cabin and a pretty good location. The water levels at Boulder Bay are low, which is kind of a bummer... but that is the nature of the lake right now.

The one thing I wish is that there was direct lake/ beach access from the cabin. The camp across the bay has great access, kayaks, paddle boards... and it made us wish we could get in the water more easily.

Overall, this is a great cabin, well accommodated with everything you need for a weekend or a week... stocked kitchen, towels, sheets/bedding, blankets, TV, games, washer/dryer... home away from home :)

Cozy and comfortable cabin for our family of four!

  • 5 of 5

My family of four wanted to have a mini vacation at a beautiful location in a cozy cabin and boy oh boy, did we achieve our mission. We pulled up to [the pretty steep] driveway and immediately saw the cute little cottage we were hoping to find. Everything inside was clean and had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The only downside is there was only two trash bags provided for our five-day stay which wasn't enough. But the bedrooms were a good size and having a big flatscreen TV in the upstairs bedroom was a nice treat as well. The bathroom is on the small side but it's definitely not a reason to shy away from this place. You're less than five minutes away from a plethora of great restaurants and a beautiful atmosphere. My family is definitely going back to Big Bear and we might even make the dates go around when the cabin is available. It really is that good.

Bearfootin' is located in a convenient locale to all points of interest and activities throughout the four season's Big Bear Lake Mountain Resort.

Boulder Bay Park: The cabin is just a short walk around the corner to scenic Boulder Bay Park, renowned as one of Big Bear's most-beautiful waterfront sites (great photo-op!)! It offers a walkout FISHING pier, always hungry duckies, beach area, picnic tables, covered pavilion, walking path, rent/launch kayaks, paddle board, anchor boat, public facilities . . . walk to Blanca & Pierre's Restaurant (see menu online) and Boulder Bay Market (convenience items, firewood, fishing license) on the east side of the park.

Pleasure Point Marina: The marina is a one-minute drive from the cabin, offering boat rentals of all types, as well as fishing gear.

The Village of Big Bear: Just a 4 to 5-minute drive from the cabin, the festive, Bavarian-style Village is beautifully landscaped to include fire rings to warm by during the frostier times of year! You'll enjoy coffee houses, restaurants, pubs, galleries, boutiques, fudge factory, beef jerky, ice cream, old-fashioned candy, strolling, people watching, window shopping, Christmas corner (during the holiday season) and much more!

Hiking: One of the best trails in all of Big Bear is located within walking distance from the cabin, toward the dam, just off the blvd. You'll want to be sure to checkout "Castlerock" ~ spectacular photo-op at the top, taking in all the elements of the Big Bear Lake landscape!

Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain: Enjoy snow tubing by winter and a water slide during summer. Fun for the whole family! Located approximately 3-minutes from the cabin.

Horseback Riding: There are stables located at Magic Mountain for your riding pleasure, 3 to 4-minutes from the cabin.

Mountain Biking: There are many locations throughout Big Bear for scenic, challenging riding, or a leisurely cruising (bike rentals available). If the latter, you'll enjoy the Peddle Path that is a 4-mile ride around Big Bear Lake. If your up for the adventure, take the Sky Lift up Snow Summit (summer months) and bike down . . . you may need a BBQ fix mid-mountain! See trail maps or contact the Visitor's Center for more information.

Snow Summit & Bear Mountain Resorts: For our Skiers & Boarders, you are from 4.5 to 4.7 miles door-to-door for exciting downhill adventure! Inquire within for lift ticket/ski pass information and for hours of operation! Swoosh! Swoosh! :)

Super Market: The Vons and Stater Brothers markets (as well as Blockbuster, CVS, Walgreen's, Radio Shack...) are both 5 minutes door-to-door, directly off Big Bear Blvd, traveling east from the cabin.
