Uniquely constructed from gorgeous slabs of carved limestone, this tranquil Texas Hill Country estate sits on 4 remote, tree-covered acres. A rustic split-rail fence welcomes you to the home, and comfortable wood rocking chairs flank the front door. Sitting about 13 miles south of Fredericksburg in the wide-open countryside, Holt+ Gail Haus is the perfect home for those searching for authentic Texas adventure. Three bedrooms provide sleeping space for 10 people, so bring your whole crew.



The Space:

Once inside, the exposed limestone walls and wide plank floors add a distinct, memorable character to the entire home. The main living area includes plush, neutral sofas facing a custom entertainment center and a wet bar that’s ideal for serving cocktails and snacks. A worn leather saddle propped in the corner reminds you that you’re deep in the heart of horse country.



In the spacious, eat-in kitchen, simple white cabinets sit underneath open wood shelving that artistically displays the glassware and flatware. The kitchen design is minimalist and chic, with a refrigerator, microwave, and an electric range. The farmhouse dining table has seating for six, and french doors open wide to reveal the sun-kissed outdoor patio.



On the main floor, there are two luxurious primary bedroom suites. The first suite features a king-size bed, piled high with comfy pillows and fluffy blankets. This suite also includes two bedside tables with lamps and a modern ceiling fan. The spacious ensuite bathroom features a step-in shower and has room for a wood bench and a free-standing, full-length mirror. The second suite features a luxe Queen-size bed, reading lamps, a ceiling fan, and an attached bathroom with a shower and vanity.



Upstairs is the third, lofted bedroom space with an intricate ceiling and tons of natural Texas sunlight. This unique, flexible space includes three queen-size beds tucked underneath the eaves, as well as lots of different seating options, including a custom-built window seat. There’s also a door that leads out to a small patio with a picnic table and sweeping views of the surrounding land.



Back downstairs and outside through the french doors, a stone patio creates a lovely outdoor space to relax with a glass of wine underneath the sparkling stars. A wood pergola is strung with twinkle lights that illuminate the comfortable lounge seats. The entire area is anchored and warmed by the cozy stone fireplace— perfect for chilly Texas Hill Country nights and roasting s’ mores after dinner.



When you’re ready to explore the nearby area, the cafes and shops of downtown Fredericksburg are about a twenty-minute drive away. You’ll also want to visit the nearby vineyards for some wine tasting, saddle up at a local ranch for an afternoon of horseback riding, or simply take a hike through the gorgeous countryside. At Holt+Gail Haus, the possibilities are endless.

✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $53 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

4. WiFi is available in all homes, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. No refunds or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures, or discontinued or interrupted services that occur during your stay.

5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, confetti, vomit residues, or glitter.

6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.

7. Start-up sundries provided for the first two days; report missing items within one hour of arrival.

8. Pet-friendly units welcome pets with an additional fee; ensure pets are well-behaved and respectful.

9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place, but some insects are inevitable.

10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit at your vacation rental. Check the amenities to see if this rental is equipped with a fire pit.

11. Please observe Fredericksburg’s Quiet Hours (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

12. The City of Fredericksburg is an international Dark Sky Community. To protect the dark skies, please turn off outdoor lighting when not in use.

13. Only utilize the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces at your rental.

14. For any issues during your stay, a 72-hour window after check-out is provided to file a claim. Note that refunds won't be issued for claims submitted after this period. We appreciate your cooperation.
