Overview

About the property

Enjoy a leisurely walk to the town of Boonville for morning coffee at the Mosswood Café, the Saturday Farmer's Market or dinner at the Boonville Hotel from the charming Tolman House, located approx. 1/2mile south of town on Highway 128.

The Tolman House was built in the late 1800's. The 3 -bedroom, 2-bath house boasts a large lot with a lawn and picnic/barbeque area and completely fenced outdoor space. It is pet friendly. There is one king bed, one queen bed, one double bed, central heating and air, a full kitchen with a dining nook, living room and a sunny banquette seating area. One bathroom is new and modern, with a shower, while the other is original, with a claw foot bathtub, located off the master bedroom. The house is the perfect size for two or three couples or a family. It sleeps 6 people.

The Tolman House is superbly located as a base for exploring Anderson Valley and the Mendocino Coast. It is within 300 ft. of 2 wine tasting rooms and Pennyroyal goat cheese farm/tasting and 1/2 mile from dining, shopping, and a microbrewery. In 15 minutes you can be hiking among the redwoods in Hendy Woods State Park. Drive 30 minutes to the Navarro beach or 50 minutes to the picturesque village of Mendocino. Another 15 minutes and you can be at Ft. Bragg--catching The Skunk Train or looking for treasures at Glass Beach. You can also just relax at the picnic table and gaze at the hills of Anderson Valley and the Pinot Noir grapevines that surround you.

Cute farmhouse in a great spot!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Tolman house. The house is adorable and clean. It is walking distance to the fairgrounds, the Booneville Hotel, and several restaurants/wineries. If you are looking for a quaint and comfortable place to stay in Booneville, stay here! Once you meet the neighbors sheep, you'll be so glad you decided to stay here.

Comfortable Country Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We all had a lovely time with ample room - 4 adults, one 2 year old and 2 dogs. My husband and I slept really well - there was very good energy here. The house is charming and had everything we needed. I would have really liked a fire place but the central heating worked really well so we stayed toasty warm during the April showers. I LOVED the heater in the shower - I want one in mine. The lilacs blooming around the property were beautiful. And who doesn't love a herd of sheep next door.

Charming home, convenient and great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here!

The atmosphere in the house is so pleasant, and the location is great.

We stayed for four nights, and there was so much to do within one hour drive from the house, we could have stayed longer.

We were doing a lot of cooking, and the kitchen was well equipped.

I highly recommend this place!

Charming house in great location - walk to wineries.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Tolman House. It's comfortably updated but retains its original charm. The location was perfect for exploring Anderson Valley. We walked to the Alsace Varietals Festival plus several wineries and restaurants.

We awoke to open our blinds and find sheep grazing in the meadow outside our window - a fun surprise :)
