We enjoyed our stay here with our dogs. It was a great location and we were able to walk downtown to the bars, restaurants and shops. Clean and comfortable.

We’re so glad to hear you had an enjoyable stay at our property! Thank you for taking such great care of it and leaving it neat and clean. We’d be happy to have you back anytime!
The home is in a great location and we had no trouble finding parking. However, with a family member with somewhat limited mobility, the staircase and floor vents were tricky for us. Overall, the home was comfortable and provided everything we needed for our stay.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay and found the home comfortable, overall. Sorry for the difficulty one of your family members had with the front porch stairs and floor vents. I hope they didn't pose too much trouble and we will look to see what improvements can be made. Thank you for the great care you took while you were here and we'd be glad to host you again anytime!
The location was perfect for our weekend. We loved being so close to the beach and downtown. We had a trail race planned in Manistee National Forest. It was an easy drive to everything we needed. We would stay here again.
This property was perfect for our emergency stay in Michigan. We are grateful for the last minute accommodations the property owners gave us. It was very clean and located in a sweet neighborhood super close to downtown for restaurants, movie theater, and shops. And about a mile from the beach of Lake Michigan.
This quirky 100-year-old house was comfortable and fit our needs perfectly. It comes complete with slanting floors, new appliances and plenty of hot water. It is an easy walk to River Street. The neighborhood is made up of sweet old houses.
The mattresses were horrible. The owner really needs to invest in nice mattresses and nice pillows

Nice location
Property is in a nice location. The home had a musty smell and was a bit dingy. The beds were just okay....the headboards squeak when you roll over. The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan and the shower is small. All in all, it'll do in a pinch, but we will look for something different if we go to Manistee to stay. Price was excellent for what you get.

Hi Linda,
Thank you for your feedback and bringing this to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of the mildew smell and the squeaky headboards, both of these issues have since been addressed. As the bathroom has a window, a vent fan is not required, but we will look into making that upgrade. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the great location and the reasonable price!
This is a good value if the weather is good and you can be out and about in the beautiful environs of Manistee. Convenient to First Street Beach and downtown, and within an hour drive of fabulous hiking and natural vistas. Capacity to sleep 4 but not to feed 4. Only 2 chairs at the kitchen table in the very small kitchen; no outdoor seating area. No place to set toiletries in bathroom. Hard surfaces were very clean but carpet and upholstery were less so.Overuse of air fresheners. We appreciated the laundry facilities. We were lucky to find this for the value at the last minute -- so a mixed bag.

I was very unhappy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.
Reviewer Comments:
Multiple windows in house should not be opened because screens were either missing or torn. There was not a toaster in the kitchen, which surprised me. The pots in the kitchen were dirty and had to be soaked to get them clean. Also there was not a skillet. There is some mold in the shower stall. The surrounding houses were in a dilapidated state with multiple tenants, and made us feel uncomfortable.

Reviewer Comments:
Great little place and convenient location. We stayed for 4 nights over the weekend leading up to the 4th of July. It’s really close to the river walk and only a mile from the main beach so we walked to a lot of places. Our little 6 lb dog also felt right at home. We had never been to Manistee and really enjoyed adventuring about. This house location was perfect.
