Enjoy your stay in the beautiful Smoky Mountains in this spacious two story cabin located in beautiful secluded Red Bank Acres. Very warm and cozy and feels like home. This property offers plenty of family fun throughout all four seasons. Wake up and drink your coffee on either the top large wraparound deck or bottom deck while you enjoy the breathtaking Smoky Mountain views. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the private large outdoor dining table on the top wraparound deck! Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the view. Gas grill in covered area on top deck. Hot tub on bottom deck with a view. Newly remodeled master bath with huge tiled shower, feels like a spa! Four large flat screen TVs and free high speed WIFI. Large game room with bar area, pool table, board games and DVDs. Large front and side yard over one acre. Outdoor games available such as horse shoes, badminton. Seasonal creek runs thru property into the Little Pigeon River. Fish, swim or float in the river opposite property.

The Little Pigeon River is one of Tennessee's premier trout fishing streams, with opportunities to catch stocked rainbow trout as well as wild brook trout. Small mouth bass inhabit the water as well. The river splits into three forks in the Sevierville area, and the West Fork of the Pigeon River flows through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg before entering Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Fishing is allowed along most of the river, including in the Pigeon Forge and Sevierville areas. Tennessee Fishing License required.

This property is located 9 minutes from Dollywood, and its so close you can hear the Dollywood train whistle! 15 minutes from Forbidden Caverns, 15 min from Pigeon Forge, and 30 min from Douglas Lake for awesome boating. Also 8 mile drive to Gatlinburg for skiing or Smoky Mountain National Park for hiking. This property accommodates up to 9 people only, 4 BR 3 BATH, over 2000 sq ft. No dangerous mountain roads. Two have king size beds, one queen size bed, one bunk bed (full on bottom and twin on top) as well as a portable crib. It has a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, and full size washer and dryer. Also high chair for infants. Open floor plan with wood burning fireplace. All kitchen pots, pans, dishes and utensils are provided. Linens and towels are also provided. Plenty of parking for multiple cars, a boat/trailer and RV as well as 30 amp hookup. This property has outside fire pit, outdoor dining table, rocking chairs, swing, and gas grill for lots of outdoor family fun. This cabin is like no other, feels just like home. Horseback riding, and zip lining facilities are located ten minutes away. There is also a river tubing facility at the end of our Road that your family can tube down our river. Fun for the entire family or for a friends getaway. No pets please. No smoking or candles permitted inside the cabin. No fireworks or parties please.

Please note that since this property is two stories and has inside and outside stairs, it is not wheelchair accessible.

We loved this cabin, it exceeded our expectations! The owner did a fantastic job at communicating with us from beginning to end. We had a wonderful time, the cabin was beautiful and spotless, we will definitely be coming back! My grand daughters loved everything about it too!

So nice I had to do it twice
This was my second time in 2 years that I stayed at your property. My first time staying was with my husband and kids. This time around it was all adults. Both times it was so cozy. The host communication was top tier. We arrived this past Friday and experienced lots of rainfall due to hurricane Helene. It was fine except the river that's near the property overflowed onto the road near the cabin. We were unable to leave the property but we had gone shopping before hand and we were fine until later in the day and the river receded quickly. The host offered us to stay another day because of the inconvenience which was out of her control. I really appreciated the gesture. She made updates since the last time I stayed and they were very nice. I will definitely stay here over and over again in the future. If you are reading this review you should too. You will not be disappointed.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed. It was very kid friendly which is appreciated when you have toddlers. Cabin was clean and check in/out process was easy. It was very easy to get to Dollywood and to the main strip where we played some mini golf. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit the area! The hosts were great and very easy to communicate with.

Mountain Paradise
Our family spent three days at this home and loved every minute of it. After long days at Dollywood and exploring Pigeon Forge, it was nice to come back to a home that was inviting and well stocked with everything you could imagine. We would definitely stay again.

Highly recommend this family friendly home
A quiet location close to all the noisy, fun, adventure Sevierville has to offer (i.e. tubing, amusement parks, and caverns, etc.) This place was very clean with all the necessary amenities for a fun, safe stay with friends and family. We really enjoyed the large screen TV, game room, hot tub, and firepit after a long day of outdoor adventures.

Great for families with little ones!
We loved everything about this place! The owner was amazing and went out of her way to contact me before our stay, and stayed in contact via text during our stay (not intrusive or annoying at all - just enough to remind us that if we needed anything - she was a phone call away. My kids (6,5&4) LOVED the game room, the yard and the proximity to the river! They asked to stay at our (as my 4yo says) ‘bacation’ house to play in the basement rather than go to Dollywood or any of the touristy attractions nearby! This was the perfect getaway location for our family!

Riverside Retreat in July
overall, the site worked well for our vacation. We were hoping to have a view of the local river based on the VRBO site pix. Nice that the house had a high chair, baby gate, and pack and play. Grand daughters loved the bunk beds. We did have an issue with the downstairs AC - was resolved for our stay. Master BR shower was awesome!! Not on this house but the local tubing company (Wild Bear) was not a good experience. Beautiful mountain view on back deck - made morning coffee that much better. Did have some issues with the grill - worked well some of the time and not so well another time. Knowing we had a two year old (based on original VRBO search parameters) with us, I would have not had as many bear trinkets around - we did have to put up several for safety. Denise was great to work with regarding the AC issues. WiFi and TV channels were great. We did have a small black bear wander near the house - gotta love nature!!! Nice cabin for sure - comments were for honest feedback as a Dad and Grand-dad with his family.

Perfect getaway
This was perfect for our family. It was in a nice location that felt like you were getting away from it all while still being close to town and conveniences. It was in a quiet neighborhoood on a street next to a small river. Everything I would have wanted for amenities was already in the house. We had a 21 month old with us and there was a high chair, pack and play, books, and a toddler plate. It was so appreciated! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay near the Smoky Mountains!

Very nice home. Everything was like we were hoping for. Very clean and comfortable. Great location for visiting Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Hosts were very nice, even called from their vacation to make sure all was well.

Close to activities but tucked away for a peaceful time by woods & river. Nice swimming hole & we floated the river at the wild bear tubing service near by. Had a black bear come out of the woods & greet us. Enjoyed our time there !!

Proposal weekend
It was very clean. Loved the chairs on the porch to sit and drink coffee. Family enjoyed the pool table, too. It was a wonderful place for my son to propose in front of his parents and hers and a place for us to all get to know each other better. We really enjoyed our weekend and were able to sit out on the deck when it was raining and watch the clouds cover the mountains. As far as the accommodations, they were well suited for us, and had plenty of room in each bedroom, I guess the only thing that we could think of that could be made improvements on would be access to the Hot tub, Maybe stairs, leading from the deck down to the hot tub instead of having to go around the outside of the house. Also, if there was any way to expand the pool room, that might be helpful when playing pool but that didn’t stop my family from playing. They had a great time and loved playing pool. It was just a very tight squeeze. We all had a great weekend and will definitely think about renting here again if we were back in the area.

Cabin Retreat
This is the perfect place for a long weekend getaway. Far enough away to enjoy the silence of nature, but close enough to the main attractions of the area. House is perfectly set up for more than one family.

Wonderful stay
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! The cabin was big and spacious and had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. The yard was so big and our kids had so much fun down at the riverbed. We loved the fire pit and really appreciated the available firewood. I can’t say enough good things about this cabin and the kind owners. we hope to return again soon!

10 out of 10 would recommend!
You can stop looking...this is the place! This is the best place we have stayed in the Gatlinburg area by far. It has everything thing you need so you don't have to worry about going out right away to buy incidentals like dish soap, trash bags, coffee etc. you can just relax unlike most places you stay. The house and property are beautiful and clean and pretty private despite there being neighbors. There are lot of games and activities to do there if you don't want to go out. My boys loved the creek and playing football in the backyard while we roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. The fire pit was completely stocked with nice wood which made the process easy. The hot tub was great and I perfect working order. I didn't think I was going to like the location in Sevierville but it turned out to be perfect. You don't need to drive through downtown Gatlinburg traffic to get to the State park and it is close enough to everything but still out of the way. I really can't say anything negative about this place and we will definitely be back every time we visit.

Unfortunate Issues
We enjoyed our stay despite a few, mostly unavoidable, inconveniences. Cons: apparent sewage leak in bdrm from flushing upstairs master toilet, damaged dishwasher that owner didn't find out about until the day before we arrived, burn ban prevented use of fire pit, potential trip hazard on main deck stairs(top step is not level), comfortably seats only 5 adults in living room and also dining table(could pull table out but then blocks kitchen access), overall cabin was much smaller than expected, 2 bdrms dnstrs w only 1 bth, accordion room divider instead of door limits privacy in 1 bdrm, hot tub accessible from inside cabin only via bdrm, 2 TVs(not 4 per website), more houses visible around cabin and from the deck than website pix portray, river access is across a road that has no shoulder & curves/hills/traffic make it unsafe. Pros: good location for Dollywood, cabin is thoughtfully decorated, kitchen well stocked, large yard, plenty of outdoor seating, very responsive owners. I have no doubt that the toilet and dishwasher have since been repaired and the burn ban has since been lifted (for now but the area is understandably sensitive to wildfires so check b4 you go). There are a ton of cabins to choose from in the area & we've stayed in several of them. This one wasn't the best for us but it certainly wasn't the worst that we've stayed in. I highly recommend spending time with your family in a cabin and exploring all that the surrounding area has to offer.

Wonderful cabin, would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay here! There was plenty of space and lots to do both inside and out. When it was nice out we waded and fished in the river which was very close and when it rained we played pool, swam in the hot tub, and got warm roasting marshmallows on the fire. Lots to do in the nearby cities as well but we could have easily just spent the whole time here. Also the hosts were very nice and responsive, check in was super easy. Really couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Excellent getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is beautiful with plenty of space for our 4 adults and 2 small kids. The kitchen has everything you could need for cooking and baking. The beds are comfortable. The hot tub was very much enjoyed in the chilly evenings. Property was clean and well-kept. The large backyard was so much fun for my boys, as was exploring the dry creek bed. The river is just a short walk down the driveway and across the road. It’s a steep driveway, so keep that in mind if you aren’t used to walking uphill on the way back. All in all 5-stars, we would return! Host was also kind and attentive. Quick responses which is appreciated.

Great location!
This was our first trip to the area and we absolutely loved it. There is so much to do that we will definitely be back. Some of our highlights were the coasters (especially the one at skyline ranch), the caverns, and the distillery not far down the road from the house. What a beautiful area of TN.

Fabulous Home
Having used VRBO often, we were pleasantly surprised to find Riverside Retreat so much like home. With a fully stocked kitchen, guest bathrobes in the closets, and extra products at our disposal, settling in was a breeze! Oh and firewood was on hand to use at the property’s fire pit. Perfect Mountain Stay!
Wonderful views, a river to play in, an actual yard which is so hard to come by on the Smokies! We are a big family and have been traveling to Tennessee for vacations for a couple of decades now, and this might very well be our very favorite cabin! The cabin itself is so comfortable and in the perfect location! Far enough away to make you feel secluded, yet close to all the fun stuff on and around Parkway. We definitely plan to return next year.
