About this property

Deep Cove Sanctuary by the Sea!

Very much a beach house, expect lots of sunlight and fresh ocean air in this suite. The Beach is literally across the street! All amenities you will need are included. Lots of free street parking, as well as a space In the drive way for 2 cars for the length of your stay. Please note: The bedroom has an ultra-comfy queen sized bed, and there is a small pullout sofa in the living room. However It’s probably best suited for singles, couples, or no more then 3 people and is not very kid-friendly. Please make yourself at home both inside, as well as outside in the garden. You will have your own outside patio complete with BBQ and outdoor dining table. In summer feel free to pick veggies and herbs from the garden. We live in the top of the house and will be there for any questions or concerns. Lots of wildlife here, expect to see Deer sleeping in the backyard, Bears in the fall, and lots of skunks and racoons. Also, you will meet our 3 Indoor-outdoor kitty cats who always sleep in the backyard.

Comfortable and spacious

My wife and I stayed 4 nights while visiting Vancouver for the first time in decades. Very comfortable, warm, well lit apartment, host very responsive (battery in ceiling fan remote died, he replaced it that evening). Convenient to delicious local dining, or Mt Seymour Pkwy which accesses about anywhere you want to go. Grouse Mountain and dinner at the Observatory were our highlights, thanx for the suggestion Blake!

Awesome and Amazing!

We have stayed at vacation rentals quite a few times. Jennifer and Blake are the best hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! Super friendly and communicative! We feel like we made new friends! Their home is lovely. Exceeded our high expectations! Beautiful location in a beautiful part of the world. We will be back, again and again! One of the best trips we’ve ever taken!

Perfect family get-away

This is the second time/second spring break we chose to spend at this property. We loved our stay this time as much as we did last year. We are a family of two parents, 16 yo adolescent and an almost 4 yo labradoodle. The owners are lovely and live just above the property. They promptly answer any and all questions. We appreciated their hospitality. The house is well lit, clean, well furnished and as described; the kitchen has all the amenities one would need; and the backyard is fenced. We recommend this property to family and friends and look forward returning next year.

Extraordinary stay!

We travel as a family - two parents, an adolescent, and a crate trained labradoodle. We loved our extended stay at this beach house (a block away from the beach). The owners were very responsive, promptly answered our questions and live on site. The property is as described, very clean and well stocked. We appreciated the welcoming package including snack food for the dog! We had a relaxing vacation, took long walks in the neighborhood and easily traveled to downtown Vancouver. We highly recommend this property to family and friends. We plan to return next spring for our annual trip to BC. Thank you again.

Best choice ever!

Jen and Blake are absolutely the best hosts we could have asked for. We live in the neighborhood but had to move out for a month during a renovation. We initially picked this place because if was pet friendly and close by to our own place. But we got so much more - excellent communication, a warm greeting and thoughtful welcome box, a comfortable space that we could settle into and feel at home, all the amenities we needed to spend a month, the proximity to Cates and The Cove, and, importantly a very welcome and easy environment for our old dog (who didn’t want to leave). We will gladly refer friends and family who come to the area, and recommend it to anyone else looking for a peaceful Deep Cove experience.

Why they chose this property

Deep cove is the hidden gem of Vancouver, where the beach and mountains meet. You want to Hike..check, ski...check, paddle board...check. We truly have it all. But, we are also 20 minutes to downtown Vancouver, 1.5 hours from whistler, and 4 hours from the wine country in the Okanagan. This neighbour is exceptionally quiet, and very peaceful. Expect birds chirping, smelling ocean air, and lots of wildlife. We often wakeup to deer sleeping in the backyard.

Located across the street from the beach in the heart of Deep Cove, this newly renovated, quiet, private suite is the perfect escape from the city (but only a 20 min drive to downtown Vancouver!). It offers a stunning view of the ocean, your own outdoor patio and bbq, 15 min walk to Deep Cove Village, 20 min Drive to Local Ski mountain, and Stand Up Paddles for you to use in the summer. The ideal Homebase to explore Vancouver!
