Wonderful vacation home

Place was great, cute and clean. The beach is super close and you’re right near everything you need. We put in the address of our place which brought us to a gate access where you need a key card. Thankfully someone else told us we needed to drive to a different gate. That was the only hiccup. Loved this place would definitely come back.

A wonderful house in a great spot in Oceanside Village. The house was very accommodating for young families and had lots of beach items and outdoor toys for the kids. Everything was clean and relatively updated, the house has been unkept well and the kitchen was supplied with the basics for our stay. We appreciated the outdoor space and all of the thoughtful amenities.

Relaxing and peaceful

Enjoyed our stay as a stepping off point for our Murrell's Inlet charter fishing trip. Easy walk to beach that had a nice casual restaurant with outdoor seating. Made our weekend so relaxing.

Comfortable and clean

The house was comfortable, clean and we had a fun time. The kitchen is well appointed with a good sized eat in kitchen and family room. The location is great so no long drives to popular restaurants, entertainment, Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park. We would stay there again.

Perfect vacation home for large groups

This home was perfect for our large family vacationing together. The location was good and we enjoyed being on the waterway. It is a beautiful house and the owner was very nice and immediately responsive to any needs we had during our stay. The dock area was great for fishing and boating. We all enjoyed it.

Great house great location!

We had a fabulous time at Holden Beach! The house is in a perfect location, it's spacious, and very comfortable. We had 12 adults and 11 kids who were ages 1-9 and we all were very pleased. Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Family Fun in Sun and games

The house worked out perfect. My kids and grands were so fascinated with the outdoor shower they barely used the indoor. Loved the games that were in the house. Plenty of kitchen storage if you cook in. We all would definitely recommend. The host was always available to communicate. Thank you for a great week

Beautiful accommodations with great view of waterway and short walk to beach. Sparkling clean and plenty of room for large family gathering. Well equipped kitchen with large pantry for storage and room for several cooks. Great gathering place on back deck with nice summer breezes. Second year for a great family reunion.

Perfect for a family

Great place but stove eyes need a little work if one enjoys cooking. Loved the outdoor enclosed shower, esp. for the kids. The only true negative is that outside golf carts are not allowed in this gated community. You must rent them onsite and may not drive them anywhere but on the property and to parking lot across street to access beach.

Lovely place

The process of checking in was so simple and easy. The home was just as described and comfortable. We rented golf carts from the Village and the price was reasonable. I would suggest to bring all of your own seasonings, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, tin foil, etc. because none of that is there or not enough for a week’s stay. Easy fix because the home is across the street from a Food Lion grocery. They did have beach chairs and kids sand toys that we greatly appreciated. We had such a lovely time.

Perfect family wedding locale!

Our family stayed at the home from Oct 2- 7, 2012. It was the perfect venue for an intimate wedding ceremony for my daughter. The home was clean and tastefully decorated (exactly like the pictures). The owner was very accomodating with special requests. The space was also kid friendly and centerally located on the island. We had perfect weather during our stay and the grounds were beautiful! Would definitley recommend this vacation home!

A Little Taste of Paradise

Our family of eight recently vacationed in this beautiful home. The views of the waterway are spectacular and only a short walk or bike ride to the beach. Everyone was comfortable in there own bedrooms, each nicely decorated with plenty of room. We all enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the yachts go by and the sunsets were fantastic. The kids found the backyard perfect for frisbee and we all enjoyed sitting around the table playing board and card games in the evening. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for a large family and was stocked with all the essential cookware. The house was wonderful and was perfect for our big family, but the hosts were what made our stay so special. We really appreciated the book of places to see and suggestion of restaurants and local activities, you were both so helpful! We hope to come back soon!

Resort Like Atmosphere

I have had the pleasure of staying in this home MANY times over the past 5 years! All bedroom except 1 have breathtaking water views that you can wake up from your bed each AM & see the beautiful waterway. The porches are excellent for enjoying ur AM coffee or your PM cocktail and watch the waterway activity (i.e. dolphins playing, yachts cruising, barges, jetskis and tubers!!! The amenities are none short of a resort and the space is excellent for a big family reunion...enough nooks and crannies to escape and have your quiet time when necessary! ;-) The beach is within walking distance and the whole island is great for that invigorating bike ride or jog! Trust me, you and your family will not be disappointed with a week stay, or longer in this rental! Enjoy your stay at Holden Beach...I know I do every time!

Awesome House for Family Reunion!

Just came home from an awesome week at Holden Beach! We shared the house with 25 people ranging in age from 8 to 83! The house was perfect. Great kitchen for cooking meals and enough space for eating! The views from the deck were amazing. We enjoyed being on the inter coastal watching sunsets, dolphins, tugboats, and more. We were able to walk to the beach in minutes and had a week of unbelievable weather and surf. The house was ample big to accommodate all of us and we never ran out of hot water!!!! The property was clean and well maintained. We had to call for a minor issue and our call was answered and our issue resolved in no time. Family came from 5 states and all LOVED IT!!!!! We would go back!!! Thank you for making our reunion memorable. It was a GREAT week at HOLDEN BEACH!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful for family get together with small kids

This house was just as wonderful as advertised. Our large family of 12 adults and 8 children (ages 7-newborn) fit comfortably into the large rooms and shared meals easily with the spacious kitchen and numerous tables and chairs for eating. The shower in the master suite was very nice and the provided shampoo, conditioner and hand soap was much appreciated. The beach was a short walk away and never crowded. And the outdoor shower was convenient for cleaning up after the daily beach ventures. There was ample parking and the street was quiet enough for riding Razor scooters. In the yard, we enjoyed the frogs, big and small, playing corn hole and grilling out. The deck was very comfortable for watching the traffic on the waterway and beautiful sunsets. Our minor complaint was that the live music from the bar across the waterway was loud one night around 1:30 am. We rented a pontoon boat one morning and it was convenient to load and unload from the dock at the property. All descriptions of the home were accurate and the house was clean. I highly recommend this VRBO property.

Perfect for our large family

Our large family has vacationed in the Myrtle Beach area for over 30 years. This was our first trip to Holden Beach and we definitely would do it again. We had 26 family members ranging from 3 months old to 87 and 82 years old. The large main area was perfect for our parents because they could have their private room and share all of the family time without having to go up and down stairs. The back porch overlooking the ICW is large and a great place for relaxing. The bedrooms we comfortable and spacious. Our family rented a pontoon boat and jet skis. We played golf 4 days on courses within 30-40 minutes. The Food Lion is within 2-3 miles from the home. The beach was about a 5-10 minute walk. There is also a handicap parking area within 5 minutes which allowed us to take our parents to the beach as well. The home is everything the listing says it is - no surprises. The owners were very helpful before the trip as well as during our stay. We would definitely recommend this home for larger families. Thank you for a great week.

More than advertised!

"Seven in Heaven" is all you need for a perfect family vacation...peaceful view of the ICW from the spacious main-level porch, complete with rocking chairs! It was a daily gathering place for our large family. Cooking is a pleasure in this well-equipped kitchen, with room for everyone to eat together. Lots of places to "perch" and chat with the cooks while they are doing their thing! More-than-ample storage for your groceries and supplies during your stay. Large, round kitchen table is great for afternoon- or after-supper-gaming. Every bedroom is spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Bathrooms are conveniently located on each level...room for everyone! Grocery store is near-by for convenience. Lots of great little boutiques, too! Wilmington to the North or Myrtle Beach to the south -- a short drive to either if you want nightlife or "big" shopping. The beach is a short walk and is perfect for surfing, castle-building or reading your summer book! (We did some of each!) This is THE place for your future family gatherings...it doesn't get any better than this!

Had a Wonderful Time

We just had our biannual family reunion with 24 of us spanning 3 generations stayed in this house for the week and had a blast! The rooms are spacious and very accommodating. Everyone had a comfy bed and place to call their own. I couldn't believe that 24 of us could stay in one place so comfortably. I absolutely loved the bath towels that were provided - plenty of them and they were really good quality - better than many hotels. The main floor provided the perfect central hub for all to eat, watch TV, hang out on the beautiful deck and play all kinds of games. The back patio allowed for chats while we took turns grilling (two charcoal grills worked out great - our night to make dinner the Weber grill cooked the Paella perfect! The kitchen had all the amenities you could need and the extra fridge in the garage was a life saver. The dock proved to be the perfect fishing/crabbing spot for the kids - they looked forward to checking the traps and dropping a line every morning and evening. And of course most of all - the location was so convenient. Just over the bridge, a quick trip to the Food Lion was super easy. We were just next door to an outdoor free public concert. The public access to drop our boat was like 100 ft away and MOST IMPORTANT - the public access to the beach was just 2 very short blocks away! This allowed us to set up our tent early in the morning, spend the day on the beach with no worries about strolling home for lunch or a nap and then strolling on back. Super easy! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to go away to Holden Beach with 23 of their loved ones. We had a fantastic time and while the fun was a result of the wonderful group of people, the house sure did make the fun worry free.

Heaven at Holden Beach

IMy family stayed in this beautiful home for a week while I helped my sister (who lives in the HB area) get everything finalized for her upcoming wedding. The 2nd floor master bedroom offered a wonderful waterway view (even from the bed) and it was wonderful to slip out of bed, grab a cup of coffee and sit in the rockers on the deck and watch the waterway traffic. Every floor has great traffic flow and plenty of bathrooms for a large crowd! Having bedrooms on all three floors allowed everyone to have their "space" and privacy. There were plenty of TVs and entertainment options for the kids (and adults). The kitchen was just great for cooking for our large group and there were plenty of seating options for eating. We loved being able to enjoy the waterway from the backside of the house AND being able to take a short walk over to Rogers Street to get to the ocean via the private beach access for the neighborhood! (Open the windows at night and we could hear the surf!) The dock was great at high tide for the kids to jump in and out of the water; and, at low tide there's a "mini beach" that can be explored with plenty of crabs darting about. When we didn't want to cook we were able to walk to Paradise Cafe or Capt. Pete's restaurant for wonderful food or take the boat right across the waterway to Provisions (Try the fresh grouper salad!!) We had a fabulous week and look forward to our return visit in August 2010. I would highly recommend this property to friends/relatives who are looking for a clean and well-maintained rental home. The owner could not have been more helpful in making suggestions for things to do while we were there. (We would have missed out on the Turtle Watch if not for her....ask about it when you are there and find out if the nests are projected to hatch while you're in town. It's an amazing process to observe!) I think this place should be called "Heaven at Holden Beach"!
