Find mountain rentals near Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge

The property is fantastic and conveniently located next all the local eateries and sights. The property has been recently updated and is very nice fit and finish. Just know that you are extremely close to an active train track with up to 30 trains per day so you will have some track noise.

Mark is a great host. He gave us a tour of property, and checked on us to see if we had everything we needed. This is a quiet retreat. Worked very well for my family. Loved the hiking trails. We would come back for a stay.

We wanted a cabin near the Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge and swamp. Skip's Rustic Cabin was close enough to use for our daily launch and it being on the St. Mary's River was a plus. It provided us with a peaceful refuge to relax. I really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the birds and squirrels. Also, we enjoyed evening meals in the coolness of the screened in back porch. My wife said she was going to miss this place when we left. We are already considering coming back.

We arrived the day after Christmas to a tree lit and waiting in the living room. Plenty of space and easily slept my family of 9. You do need to expect a bumpy ride in, but worth it to be off the beaten path. Such a nice stay!

It was a perfect place to stay during our visit to Folkston for a family reunion. Super cute cottage! We had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
