Vacation rentals near Brentwood Bay Ferry Terminal

My wife and I stayed for four nights in mid-July 2025. We only wish we could have stayed longer! This cottage was everything we could have hoped for. Beautifully decorated, sparkling clean and well-equipped: the kitchen lacked for nothing, even coffee was provided. Of course the property is blessed with a wonderful setting on Sooke Inlet. We loved the beauty and calm of the waterfront, with perfect sunny weather, a refreshing change from the heat and humidity back home. Since our stay was part of a longer visit to the area, we did use the laundry facilities, and these too were top-notch.I should mention that there are 47 steps from the paved path down to the front door. This is not a criticism - they are well maintained and well lit by motion-sensing lights after dark - but it might be a concern for somebody with mobility issues. If the listing and photos appeal to you, don’t hesitate to book a stay: they come close to capturing the beauty and serenity of the place, but it’s even better in reality!

Great view with seals, otters and the mountains. Peaceful quiet neighborhood with great jogging trails, and close enough to town to enjoy as well. Very clean rooms and polite hosts.

This house is amazing!! The house itself is beautiful. The view is amazing!! We spent time just sitting on the deck and taking it in. Soaking in the quietness and peace. The path to the river was easy and we spent a lot of time during low tide walking and looking for rocks and enjoying sea life. It’s close enough to Fulford to get a bite to eat at Rock Salt. We ate there 3 times because it was so good and close by. The larger town of Ganges is close enough to be easy to go to for the grocery store and other great restaurants. The house is beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped and fun to cook in. The owner was quick to respond to anything we needed. All week, we kept saying how we wish we could live in this house forever. It’s a great find.

Ron and Theresa were welcoming and warm, offering anything possible to make our stay comfortable. Upon entering we found a fresh french bread, farm fresh eggs and coffee. The house is surrounded by the gorgeous flowers tended by Theresa; it is filled with Ron's artwork and that of their daughter. A joyThe house is clean and cozy and the bed is terrific. We had a pleasant stay. This property is as described. Everything works well. It is comfortable, well laid out, and was a pleasure to stay in. The location is good: close to Ganges and in a very quiet neighborhood. Jen, the host, was responsive to any questions we had. It is not luxurious but everything works as it should. Our only suggestion is that the deck needs more furniture.

We had a wonderful time at the ground-floor suite overlooking the private garden. While we didn’t see any deer wandering the grounds, it made for a great view. Other than the owner tending to the garden, it felt like our private paradise. Charlie was very attentive to our questions or requests all while giving us privacy. We felt at home. Kitchen was stocked with some breakfast goodies and ample kitchen ware if you wanted to cook. Sauna was relaxing after a long day hiking and exploring the island. We will definitely be back!

The house was comfortable and clean. It was close enough to Ganges that we ended up eating out quite a bit, although the kitchen was well-stocked. The driveway is steep and there are steep stairs into the house and up to the bedrooms, so be sure your party is able to handle them. The host was very communicative, although we had no issues. Loved our stay!
