  • Staying here could not have been better

"If possible plan your trip around the owner's available dates! Charlestown is beautiful and family friendly. It is a 15 minute walk to the North End. The nearby Bunker Hill monument is usually in sight. The house interior is modern and comfortable. There are plenty of beds and even a crib (at the moment). All interactions with the owners were very pleasant. I would have given more than 5 stars if possible. *Sun-Thurs parking may be a problem *There are a good amount of steep stairs"

  • Fun, convenient, unique!

"Beautiful boat, well appointed, and very clean! Great location with lots to do!!!! We also chartered this boat for my husband's birthday. Captain Tom & his sailing crew of 2 were very professional and we had an excellent sail around Boston Harbor. The boat dropped us off at Pier 6 for dinner. We really appreciated this and were very grateful to Tom for accomodating our request. Overall, we would definitely do this again & recommend it to others. Only negatives had to do with customer service. The woman in the office who answers emails re: charters/b&b didn't seem very knowledgeable about our trip, boat details, and sent the wrong contract multiple times. She also seemed confused and disorganized every time we spoke. Maybe they are understaffed at the marina? Also, the woman who came on the boat the day of our charter to prepare it for the sail was very rude and scoffed at us for all the decorations and food we had laid out. This was our first time sailing, so we had no clue about necessary preparations (i.e. Putting away Breakables, stowing certain items, etc), nor were we briefed on this in advance. In the future, they should provide guidelines. She also laughed rudely in reference to my $200 wedges and said, "you're going to wear those?"ummm.... Who says that to someone? I suggest that she avoid making comments about guests and their attire, it's not good form. Do you know anything about hospitality? put on your charter smile and then mock your guests once they leave ; ) apart from that, we had a good time!"

  • Awesome rental

"This rental was perfect for the 4 of us. We really enjoyed our stay. Incredibly clean and cozy. Description matched perfectly to this place. Footsteps away from the ocean, it was incredible. Thanks, again!"

  • Nice place to stay!

"The house was as pictured and described with a nice backyard, located in a safe, quiet neighborhood. The home was very clean and well-equipped with nice linens, appliances, and kitchen items. The beds were comfortable for the 6 adults in our party. It is a charming, homey, nicely remodeled older home. It felt like we were visiting family rather than staying in a rental. Location was very convenient to Misselwood at Endicott College where we were attending a wedding, and Salem, Gloucester, and Rockport, which we visited and enjoyed. We visited Salem and ate at Turner's, spent the day at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, and walked along Bearskin Neck in Rockport. A day trip to Boston by ferry in Salem would be a nice way to visit the city, but we ran out of time. The owner is very responsive to any questions or concerns. We were happy with our time there, and if you want the conveniences of home in a convenient location, this fits the bill."
