  • Early Fall Weekend

"We stayed here for a two night stay and had a great time. We coincidentally planned our trip when Hurricane Joaquin was also planning his... however the hurricane headed east and we were hopeful for some sunshine! We did get a lot of it too! It was great weather and we enjoyed walking down by the lake. It was my first trip to Lake Harmony so I wasn't aware of the somewhat hard to find locations by the water. We were able to find some public areas, however, and enjoyed sitting on the water. We really enjoyed the hottub, and there was plenty of space in the house for everyone. We had 8 people total, and enjoyed many meals at the large dining table. We also brought our small dog, and were thankful that there were no issues with renting with a pet! I liked the movie selection, and the couch was nice and big. We opted to clean ourselves and save $100, and it didn't take all that long- as long as you kept it clean as you went! The kitchen had a large supply of pots, pans, utensils, sheet pans, etc. We found the kitchen to be very suitable to our needs. There are small convenience stores very close by. Overall it was a great escape and fit our budget and our wishes perfectly."

  • Enjoyed our long weekend

"We were looking for a Memorial Day weekend get away with fun nearby. This house totally met our needs. The kitchen is well equipped top to bottom--but if you're going to cook, just make sure to bring your own spices, etc. There is a grocery store nearby if needed. We enjoyed the evenings out on the screened in porch, with the deer eating in the backyard. We enjoyed breakfasts on the front part of deck. FYI--the rental agreement clearly states to bring your own towels--that includes a bath mat. We just didn't even think to bring the bath mat, and used an extra towel instead. I'd also recommend taking wipes or something, we used them wipe off the outdoor furniture because it's covered in pollen this time of year. Nothing can help that, wipe them off unless you want a green butt. One drawback, for us, to this house was the development itself. It's not pedestrian or biking friendly. There are no sidewalks or walking paths. We found one walking path around one of the ponds. It's a beautiful setting to walk around in, but it's not walking friendly as many of the drivers seemed to disregard speed limits, passing slower cars, etc. The pools looked nice but we just chose not to use them. There were several people fishing at the one pond one evening that gets stocked with some fish, according to a local we met. It's very close to Bushkill Falls, which was crowded but a nice hike. We also did a few things in the Delaware Water Gap, which was crazy busy. We tried two times to get in to the one visitor's center, and the road was closed because there was no room to park there. So we explored on our own. One cool place to visit in nice weather is the Marie Zimmerman Farm House, it's back a dirt road. There wasn't anyone there and we explored the property, took lots of pictures. We didn't try any of the local restaurants, except to grab a deli sandwich from The Roost. But there did seem to be quite a few options in the area."

  • Reunion 2016

"We had a great time! It was great for a 3 year old and a 60 year old. The weather was great and there was plenty of space for all 19 of us! Looking forward to another visit."
