  I have been looking for this cabin for years! It was everything I hoped for and more. We were so happy with our week and so were our dogs. We felt as if we were staying at someones home, we were never uncomfortable. I own my own business and wanted to escape the real world, I did just that. Dennis was very helpful and friendly.

  Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

  This cabin is awesome! It was a perfect spot to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday because it had something for each of us! Dad said this was his best birthday so far (and for his 60th we vacationed for the week at Little St. Simons Island, GA so for this trip to top that trip is quite impressive). 1) My dad was pleased that the cabin "had all the channels" -- he loves his Dish. 2) My husband loved the grill -- he made us hamburgers, brats, and he skipped the train ride to smoke us two delicious Boston butts. 3) My brother works at Gander Mountain and would rather be outdoors than inside any day. He was thrilled with the setting because he was able to sleep in his camping hammock, yet have all the conveniences of the cabin. 4) My son joined us from his college in Cincinnati. He loved the exposure to the sleeping hammock the my brother has loaned him. We loved for long conversations around the fire to catch up with him. 5) My mom was happy to have us all in one place! 6) I looked like a hero for having found such a great spot! Plus, being able to walk right out the door and onto the trails in Big South Fork was awesome. For those in our group that weren't able to totally unplug from work, having wi-fi and even a land line telephone was most helpful. We are already checking our calendars for a date to visit again -- for a longer stay!

  my husband and i stayed at the cabin for a week and it is seriously the best experience we've had. There's a pond right outside where you can go fishing and great big open place all around. It's a beautiful sight to see. The cabin is equipped with just about anything and everything. All cooking utensils you can imagine, pots, pans, lots of seasonings for food, towels, beds, sheets, washer&dryer, dish washer and the cabin is fully furnished with all furniture. It even has a piano and a guitar. Its got a great feel to it being that Tom T. Hall has written songs for many famous people so there are lots of achievements written all over the cabin. There's a hot tub which is awesome and a nice out deck patio on both sides. There's a fire place too so you can get cozy while watching tv. Overall, if you are thinking about visiting and staying at this cabin i wouldn't even think about it and just go ahead and do it. You cannot regret a decision to stay at a luxury cabin such a this. and dennis is great. he'll call to check up on you to see how things are going and very hospitable.

  Our stay at the Tom T. Hall cabin was extremely enjoyable and relaxing. The cabin was very clean and their were many nice amenities (e.g., great grill). The cabin was every bit as good as advertised. The setting was beautiful, especally the pond and associated deck/dock. We look forward to a return visit soon.

  Stay Here! You won't be disappointed. When he says the best stocked cabin he is telling the absolute truth. You could not want for a thing. Super clean, very quite, very private. Probably the nicest cabin we have ever rented, and we have been renting cabins for the last 10 years all over the midwest. Dennis was very helpful in providing points of interest, directions, and places to eat. You will not be disappointed with your choice if you stay here. I had two yorkies with me and they loved feeding the fish. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!

  Our week at the Tom T. Hall cabin was wonderful! Our only regret was that there wasn't enough time to get our fill of everything the cabin and the area offered. I wasn't able to get my fill of belgian waffles or able to try as many recipes on the Traegger grill that I had hoped. We took 4 wonderful hikes, including the Twin Arches and The Gentlemen's fishing hole, but we ran out of time to make it to Yahoo falls and so many other hikes in the area. It was so hard to decide how to spend the evenings; inside singing around the piano with the fire blazing, relaxing in the hot tub, by the pond watching the stars, at the fire pit roasting marshmallows or sitting on the porch swing listening to owls and whippoorwills. We all did some fishing in the pond and in the Big South Fork River but we would have loved to do more. There just wasn't enough time! Dennis was as helpful and wonderful a host as all the reviews said. His cabin is clean, comfortable and completely supplied with everything you need to have a wonderful week. Dennis attentiveness to the needs and concerns of his guests is one of the things that truly sets this cabin apart from all the rest! We definitely want to make another visit to The Tom T. Hall Cabin!

  If you are interested in privacy and quiet enjoyment of nature, this cabin is a great place to stay. The cabin kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal (except the food, of course). It was so relaxing that we didn't want to leave! We enjoyed ourselves so much and look forward to returning again soon.

  First of all I would like to thank Dennis for a wonderful time at his perfect getaway. The cabin was well stocked and very clean inside and out. He had wood cut for the inside fireplace along with wood for the outdoor firepit which made it easy to get cozy by the fire. Although this cabin is a 3 bedroom 2 bath good size for any family it was perfect for us on our 5th anniversary. Sitting in the hot tub at night and watching the stars or sitting down on the deck feeding the fish it was so peaceful and quite the perfect place to get away and relax. There are towns close by with antique stores if you like these items also it is about an hours drive to Knoxville where there is a varity of stores and restaurants. We truly enjoyed ourselves and would consider another visit to this wonderful cabin in the woods. We didn't fish the pond but there are some pretty big catfish and bass in there. Thank you again Dennis for a great time.

• Perfection in Paradise!

  My family of five stayed at the Tom T. Hall Cabin over spring break a couple of weeks ago. We spent five nights there and we felt like we were in paradise! The property was even better than described on the website! The cabin was so clean and well maintained, with an unbelievable amount of amenities. The size and layout could not have been more suitable for us, and it is situated in the most gorgeous setting! The beautiful lake right outside the back door provided us with hours of relaxation, whether we were canoeing around, fishing, or just basking in the sun on the deck overlooking the water. The kids had a blast jumping into the lake via the rope swing! My husband and I loved how secluded the cabin is and, while there are numerous activities and attractions nearby, we were content to stay right there. We particularly enjoyed some of the many hiking trails that are so close in proximity we didn't have to drive to any trail heads. We just packed our gear and walked out the door! What a treat it was to end our days in the wonderful hot tub on the deck! We brought our own food to cook, and there was no reason to go into town for anything as the kitchen, and the cabin in general, is extremely well stocked. While this might not necessarily be appealing to everyone, I am currently learning music for a show so I was especially excited to discover the piano in the living room! There is an assortment of books, Satellite TV and a DVD player if you're interested, but we had the best time playing games every night! It really is the perfect place for family and friends to spend quality time together! I would highly recommend this terrific vacation home to everyone! We are already trying to plan our next trip and cannot wait to get back there as it truly is a little piece of heaven!

  This is the second time we have stayed at Tom T Hall and it is by far the best vacation getaway possible. Dennis makes sure everything is just right for you. It is the perfect place to get a way from the rest of the world and just relax and let your body renew itself. We used the traeger grill numerous times, we even made cookies on it. They were so yummy! The pork tenderloin we smoked was superb! Try a turkey....can't beat it. So bring your favorite book, fishing poles, hiking boots, whittling knife, whatever you like and ENJOY!
