This charming modern cottage is adjacent to the oldest Bed and Breakfast in Estes Park. Enjoy modern conveniences and amenities in a historic setting. The "Longs Peak" cottage has a bedroom with king-sized bed and full bathroom. There is a living room, dining area and equipped kitchen. The living room has a full-size pull out futon/couch and a single rollaway is available for a 5th guest.

Off the living room is a lovely balcony with stunning views of the Continental Divide, and an especially unbelievable view of Longs Peak. Longs Peak is one of the most prominent mountains in Colorado, rising 7,000 feet above the town of Estes Park. It is the only "fourteener" (14,259 feet) in the Rocky Mountain National Park.

The cottage is within easy walking distance (2 blocks) to downtown shopping and restaurants allowing you to leave the car and avoid the hassle of parking. The Rocky Mountain National Park is less than two miles away making this location absolutely unbeatable. If you are familiar with Estes Park and you know where the famous Donut Haus is, the cottage is across the street and a block up Davis Hill. The setting is very private and has abundant opportunities for close up wildlife viewing of bears, elk, deer, coyotes and many other little critters.

Complementary, on site laundry facility is provided. You will also have access to a grill and shared camp fire (skewers provided for your use). Many groups sit around the fire for hours enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather.

Guest comments from Fall 2010

"This was the perfect location for our first vacation with our 10 month old son. The proximity to RMNP and the downtown were excellent features of the cottage. We enjoyed breakfast at Molly B’s, pizza from Poppy’s, Sweet Basillico’s was excellent (and very close) and the Donut Haus was a perfect sweet start to a morning. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed ours!" A Family from Detroit.

"We don’t want to leave. The snow is on the mountains and we’ve had a wonderful time hiking, exploring, and relaxing! We’ll be back. Thanks for all the suggestions. It has made it really enjoyable. We’ve felt at home here." A Family from Austin

Owner's Map of Estes Park

After spending two summers in a condo, we decided to make the plunge into the bed and breakfast business. Being a career military couple, we knew we enjoyed entertaining people. We are from Nebraska where I grew up on a farm with a big family so making breakfasts and beds was a part of life. Davis Hill B and B came with a lovely modern cottage which we recognized as a great asset because of location providing gorgeous views and the design for easy living. It has been a wonderful retirement activity because of the people and the beautiful area.

Great Cottage in Estes Park

Guest: Steve (Metro Chicago)
Date of Stay: 10/01/11 Review Submitted: 10/13/11

This is the 2nd year my wife and I have spent a week in the fall season at this cozy cottage. The reason we've come again and stayed at the same place is because it's perfect for us. The cottage is clean, well taken care of, in a great location, and well managed by genuinely nice people. The location is perfect for access to Rocky Mountain National Park and also is walking distance to downtown Estes Park. This is a great getaway location for a couple or a small family. We will be back to the front range in Colorado again and we definately will stay at this cottage, if they'll have us!

We loved staying at the cottage. We had wonderful views of the stars at night and the mountains by day. The cottage was neat, clean, and well maintained. We would recommend this cottage to family and friends. Location is within walking distance of Estes Park if you don't mind walking up the hill.

Relaxing but always too short

Guest: Joe (Omaha)
Date of Stay: 09/08/11 Review Submitted: 09/24/11

We enjoyed our stay and Jim was very patient helping get the WiFi running. Kitchen had everything we needed (which is not always the case) and sometimes even two some items. Jim and Lois were great hosts. This is a quiet place yet right in town so you can walk to all your favorite shops on the main drag. Thanks again.

Cute cottage close to downtown and RMNP

Guest: hngabu (San Diego, CA)
Date of Stay: 09/02/11 Review Submitted: 09/11/11

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights here over labor day weekend. The cottage is in a great location - easy walk to downtown so you don't have to worry about parking, and you can get into RMNP very quickly (and miss all the downtown traffic)! The view from the porch was fantastic, especially at night, and the area is very quiet. The cottage is clean, and well kept. It was the perfect size for us, but would have been a little crowded with two more adults. We didn't utilize the laundry or kitchen very much since we spent most of the weekend hiking in the park, but during a longer stay it would be useful. WIFI access worked great, and there was cable. The TVs are a little on the older side, but we were there to enjoy RMNP and not sit around watching TV the whole time.

Great Location! Quiet! Very Comfortable.

Guest: Ken (Troy, MI)
Date of Stay: 06/11/11 Review Submitted: 07/11/11

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The property is a second floor flat (stairs only) above a grarage with a very nice layout, well furnished, very comfortable, and a beautiful deck with spectacular views. We had an exceptionaly quiet stay, with no use of the garage or the B&B associated with this property. The photos accurately show the property's furnishings and we found it to be very clean and well-maintained with all the needed kitchen utensils and appliances. The location was ideal for quick trips into RMNP. We selected this property as a base for our hiking and photo excursions into the park and it worked out great. We were up very early each day and were rewarded one day with an entire herd of Elk (20 or so) walking in the field off the deck and another day with 3 mule deer grazing in the same area.

The Cottage was a great place to stay. It was just right for my husband and I along with our 3 young girls to stay. Very clean, quiet, great view of mountains and had every amenity we needed. Great location to RMNP and to downtown Estes. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. I would recommend this place to both couples and families.

A short walk from Downtown Estes Park with Amazing views of Longs Peak.

Guest: Lil Ole (Waunakee, WI)
Date of Stay: 08/26/10 Review Submitted: 04/02/11

We will definitely be staying here again. The location is ideal, just a short 5 minute walk to downtown, and just across the street from Sweet Bascilico with the world's best pizza, which happens to be next to Estes Park Brewery and Fun World. Sitting on the deck there is an amazing view of the mountains with a direct view of Longs Peak, and Flattop Mountain and the whole range of mountain tops surrounding Bear Lake. The cottage is a short drive from the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance and is located adjacent to one of the areas neatest bed and breakfasts. Laundry is available beneath the unit making the trip very convenient. The kitchen, fully stocked with dishes and pot/pans, etc., allowed us to cook and eat in, make the trip more relaxing and more affordable. During our stay we traveled with our one year old son, the Cottage included a pack-n-play, so he had a place to sleep. Our two older boys were comfortable sleeping on the pull out couch in the leaving room. I'd strongly recommend this cottage. Enjoy the stay!

Cozy Cottage!

Guest: Missy (Colorado)
Date of Stay: 12/29/10 Review Submitted: 01/06/11

Had a great time at this cottage during the New Year's Holiday. It was homey and very comfortable. A nice place to relax and unwind. I'm hoping to go back when it is warmer so I can enjoy the wonderful deck and its views. The owner was very prompt, responsive and helpful in setting up the reservation. Thanks Jennifer!! The location was great, too. The cottage was in a very quiet setting, but a five minute walk got me to the Main Street of Estes Park. I loved not having to drive~even if it was a cold walk! Overall, a wonderful time. I definitely plan to go back.

Davis Hill Cottage

Date of Stay: 09/11/10 Review Submitted: 09/27/10

We've been going to Estes for 8-10 years and this property is abolutely the best value we've found. Excellent views and quiet. Walking distance from downtown and minutes from the park. When our vehicle wouldn't start one morning the owners saved out trip by arranging a ride back to Denver that day. I was able to get back in time for our dinner reservation and see the elk! Thank you Jim and Lois!

Perfect for Two

Guest: The Delbecq Family (Argyle, TX)
Date of Stay: 09/15/10 Review Submitted: 09/26/10

Cottage was as describe. Great views, very clean & well furnished. Easy walk to town. Bath towels needed to be upgraded & sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable. Would rent again, but only for two due to previous statement. Jennifer even threw in an additional night. Overall...great cottage.
