I really enjoyed my stay at Rio Linda Lodge. I am obsesive compulsive about everything and I did not feel the need to clean anything before opening up my luggage and opening up a bottle wine to relax. I loved the hammock right above the river and really enjoyed being a part of nature. It was a real treat to wake up and view a beautiful morning sky with the glass ceiling above the bed I was sleeping in. I would hate to be the one cleaning that glass ceiling and though it was not spotless as I can not imagine any glass ceiling being perfectly clean with nature expressing her feelings so often...it was truly a treat to see the morning sky above me while being in the comforts of a nice cozy bed. I can't wait to book my next trip to New Braunfels, TX and to spend more time on the Gaudalupe River at Rio Linda Lodge with my family. Oh, hey this place is great for the kids!!!! Mine loved it here!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

I was looking for heaven on the Guadalupe- I found it!!! What a great place! I loved sitting in the breezeway and watching the river go by. Very nicely furnished. Very clean. I love this place. River Rd has to be the prettiest road in Texas. I'll be back! PAB48

Over all property in fair condition. The inside and patio area looked like it wasnt cleaned after the last tenants left. House never really cooled off but there were box fans that you could run all night. Spider webs everywhere in master. Small black ants all over counter tops that got in anything you put on them and you had to fight them off when you cooked. Fridge had old food & bugs in bottom Customer service is poor. The location is great but to many other places around other than this one. I would not recommend. I wish I could post the photos I took. I did forward them to the owner.

Overall very good experience. Large open floor plan, clean except for exterior patio. Good for a family, but would not bring friends because it is only one bath. Minor issue is sharing of river tubes, trash with other rental - they have to walk through the yard. Also would be nice to have trash bags and a broom and some cleaning supplies for longer stays. Must have a car since town is minimum 20 minutes. I would rent this again for my family.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.
