About this property

“Welcome home” to Wallace House, a vacation rental suite located between Victoria and Sidney in beautiful Saanichton. Perfectly located, we are only 10 minutes away from the famous Butchart Gardens, Victoria International airport, the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, and the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Victoria is an easy 20 minute drive away. Sidney is even closer, a 10 minute drive. Wallace House is situated on over half an acre. Although we are in the country, we are an easy walk to a major grocery store, banks, restaurants, coffee shops and all other amenities. We are adjacent to walking and bicycling routes and trails. We have views across the farm land to the ocean, Gulf Islands and Mount Baker. Our guests can walk to a local beach in about 20 minutes.

Our vacation suite, which is accessed by stairs and a private entrance, has over 1,100 square feet of comfortable living, suitable for couples or families, up to four people. We supply kitchen appliances and utensils for all your cooking needs, including coffee and tea. Initial breakfast makings are provided. Laundry facilities are also available. There is no smoking on the premises.

A Little Bit of Heaven

Heaven! This is a well kept hideaway very close to Victoria and just up the road from Butchart Gardens. The hosts, Kirk and Gloria, were very attentive (even had homemade muffins for us!) The location was quiet and beautiful! The air was clean. Hope to return!

Butchart Gardens Trip

We came to see the Gardens and this property was very close to the Gardens and to many other attractions. Very clean and comfortable. Hosts were very nice and helpful. Made our stay memorable.

Very nice stay!

We loved the well appointed home, well stocked kicthen and the extremely clean house! The location was convenient to go to Victoria as well as Sidney. We highly recommend this place.

The suite was large, very clean, very well equipped kitchen, and in a beautiful and convenient location. Hosts were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive, will go back next time I visit the area.

Wonderful property and hosts!

Loved staying in this very spacious and comfortable suite! So clean and well set up. It was so great for us and our baby. Very close to amenities and a beautiful place to stroll.

About the host

Hosted by Kirk and Gloria Robinson

Your hosts, Kirk and Gloria, moved here from the Vancouver area in 2006 to retire. We are really enjoying the laid-back Island life. We have been married for 37 years and our children and grandchild live in Victoria. We enjoy walking on the local trails and Kirk has bicycled all over the Peninsula.

Why they chose this property

We love the country location and ocean views on our half-acre rural property. We enjoy all the walking trails and bike routes in the area and can walk to a beach in about 30 minutes. We have arbutus and Douglas Fir trees, with rabbits, eagles, quail and deer spotted regularly. We have feeders for the hummingbirds, and see lots of other species as well.

What makes this property unique

Our guests can easily walk to Saanichton Village for groceries, restaurants and other amenities. Our suite is very large with 2 bedrooms, a private entrance and off-road parking. There is a private lawn with patio set to enjoy the view and gardens.
