My family gathered here for a reunion and this house more than exceeded our expectations. The website really doesn't do it justice. The house was very clean with a number of recently remodeled spaces, while also retaining a contemperary AND at the same time traditional feel of a house in the mountains. The bedrooms were all nicely done with good comfortable beds. Any questions we had or help needed was responded immediately by the owners. We took advantage of the jacuzzi on some nights after hiking and other outdoor activities (which was wonderful). There was plenty to do around the house and the community itself. The location is also perfect! We all had a great time and more than anything my family keeps commenting on how much they loved the house. It really made our trip a memorable time. I had searched a lot of different properties and we really couldn't have picked a better place. Thanks Victoria! Hope to make it back again next year.

I've rented this house several times in the past 2 years. I don't have a single bad thing to say. The location is perfect, right next to a pool, lakes, etc. Easy drive. The house is exactly as described and pictured. This is my always my first stop whenever I want to get away in the Poconos. The house is always clean, well equipped, and for this price it's a give away!

At the very last minute we went looking for a place to stay near Dingman's Ferry for the weekend in Winter/early Spring. This house, in the Wild Acres development, was very nice. Newer than most houses there, further away than most homes from others and clean (especially important since we have a 1-year old.) Lovely weather, quiet and in the morning a few deer wandered past the front door! Owner was very friendly and despite this being a really last-minute thing everything went smoothly and we had a really nice time. Take a map to navigate the lanes and roads of Wild Acres! Would definitely rent here again.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind review! It was a pleasure to have you in our home! Please come back any time!
We have stayed in numerous vacation homes across the country (Washington State, Michigan, NY, etc) and to us, it looked like this property possibly isn’t rented very often. There were several things we would like to warn future renters. The house was missing simple items that you would normally expect to be in a house: Garbage can, dish soap or dish sponges/washcloths, baking sheets, fireplace equipment. (there is a wood burning fireplace but no equipment to stoke the fire (pokers, brooms, etc…). There are no instructions on how to work the wi-fi or TV, and there is no cable, if you want to watch TV you have to do it through the computer. Plumbing- I’m not sure what it was, but the toilet appeared to leak and when water was drained from the tub it smelled really bad, possibly something is wrong with your plumbing or sub pump? Also, the hot water heater wasn’t large enough to heat up the jetted tub. The house does have a nice deck and is very close to the subdivision pool which is probably nice in the summertime.

Owner response: First of all, I do agree with you that our house is not rented out too often. And the reason for that is because most of the time our family is staying there. We are renting it out only a few weeks during the year. That is why our house is in such a great condition and has a homely feeling to it. Plus, the house is only a few years old from the time it was builded and we want to keep it in the mint condition for as long as possible. My family stayed in the house right before your arrival, and also we rented it out to other people right after you (who left a wonderful review!). Nobody had noticed any problems with plumbing or water heater. I wish you would contact me immediately about that so that I could send out our maintenance person to check it out. In regards to the instructions on how to work the TV, I did send you a detailed email on how to use various equipment in our house prior to your arrival. Also, we do have a basic cable in the house, but you have to unplug the laptop from the TV in order for you to watch it. The bottom line is that for a price that was less than the cheapest motel would cost you, you got a clean, fully equipped, brand new house and I really don't think that your rating was fair.
We enjoyed our stay at this very clean and up to date cottage. Saw a flock of wild turkey's and lot of deer outside our window. The large deck is a great place for families to gather and there are plenty of electronic devices to keep kids (and parents) happy. This is a wonderful area to visit, with the National Park and many other historic sites. We were very happy at the cottage, and it was very nice that we were allowed to bring our best friend, our golden retriver.
