Alaska's Hidden Cove Vacation Rentals has been in operation since the year 2001. Our Hidden Cove Estate Beach House is a quality built craftsman style home and is set on a 3 acre lot with 413 feet of beach! This creates the rare and most private ocean front setting in Ketchikan. Looking out your windows you can see Guard Island lighthouse and Prince of Wales Island. All varieties of marine vessels, cruise ships and float planes pass in front of the house along with Orcas, sea lions and Humpback whales. There is no better place on the island to enjoy the fabulous sunsets than at Hidden Cove. In the summer the sun sets over Prince of Wales Island and Cleveland Peninsula which are the views from the Hidden Cove Estate. Take in the sunsets and the smell of the salt air while gathered round the fire pit(firewood provided). Roast marshmallows(S'mores),steaks,hot dogs,fish or hamburgers Alaskan style or use the large gas BBQ on the upstairs large deck. The gas BBQ is located under the covered portion of the deck so you can still cook your days catch in any weather.
There have been many times that our guest have told us that they canceled planned activities so they can just hang out at the house and property. Your hosts Ray and Kathy live 5 minutes away and are available to answer your questions and provide you with information on the Ketchikan area. Ray is a lifetime Alaskan born in Ketchikan when Alaska was a territory of the United States. He can answer all your questions you might have on the Ketchikan area.
The Hidden Cove Estate has three bedrooms, two of them with pillow top queens and one with two twins that can be converted to a king size. Our large utility room has a bunk bed with a full size futon. Our linens are of high thread count to add to your comfort. The living room is furnished with a leather sofa, love seat and a large Hi Def 45' LCD TV with all networks and movie channels. A Blu-Ray player with a large Blu-Ray library with new releases added monthly. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can think of (so we have been told). A generous supply of breakfast items and staples are provided.
To add to the comfort of our guests the house is heated with radiant in floor heat throughout. The Hidden Cove beach has an Alaskan sandy beach with lots of neat beachcombing finds! Our Hidden Cove boat house is decorated with a nautical theme and has a full size bed in the loft for the more adventurous soul. It's a great place to enjoy your morning coffee.
A rental car is recommended and frees you to all Ketchikan has to offer. Everything is just minutes away! We book quickly so plan ahead!

We absolutely loved our stay at hidden cove beach resort! My husband and I thought it was by far the most comfortable vacationing experience we have had with our 2 and 5 year old kids. We were so excited to stay at Hidden Cove for one week while visiting family in Ketchikan. The house was beautiful, immaculate and completely stocked with the chef in mind. We loved the fact that we were able to eat home cooked meals while on vacation and play with the kids on our own private beach. The views from the property are endless and we also saw three sea otters and several bald eagles. Ray and Kathy found out our needs before we arrived and had everything ready to go for us. We were able to leave the portable crib and toys at home. It was so nice not to pack all the extra kid stuff! This is a top notch vacation home and I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to ketchikan. We are looking forward to our next stay! We had the pleasure of stay here the whole month of August 2012. It was wonderful!!! (didn't want to leave even after being a month away from home). We have rented vacation homes before and this is the best. Upon arriving you are awed with a beautiful ocean view and a wonderful front sitting area to enjoy. It is a very private setting. The trees are so thick you don't see any other homes. A large variety of breakfast items, drinking water, juices, fruit, and breads were also there upon arrival. So, you can start your vacation immediately. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the essentials, it was very easy to cook in, and easy to keep clean. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were fluffy!! (we slept good here). All the linens/towels were of high quality (an ample supply of bath towels too!). The washer and dryer are of high quality and quiet. The living room area was comfortable. We saw humpback whales, eagles and their young in the trees, seal, and starfish (and starflowers), and Canadian geese while relaxing in the sitting area. We would definitely stay here again the next time we plan a vacation to Ketchikan.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+.

We have stayed in some very nice VRBO homes, and this is by far the nicest one yet. Just finished up 6 nights and our family loved it. Our three girls (12, 9, and 8) had a great time, they spent hours down at the beach in the tide pools and on the one rainy day we had they hit the fooseball and ping pong tables set up in the garage (you could eat off the garage floor it's that clean). The owners have done a great job and there isn't one thing this house lacks. Great view, well appointed home, stocked with everything you could ever need, with beds that would make you think you were at the a 5 star hotel. Don't go to the grocery store until you check in, the house is that well stocked with food. For dinner try Bar Harbor in town for fine dining, for great burgers hit the Marina at Knudsen Cove. Southeast Sea Kayaks does a great job on a day trip out to Misty Fjords Monument and the Zip Line's south of town were a hit with the kids. If you have kids check out the Lumberjack Show in town, they also do a 1 hr log rolling class for kids on Tuesday and Wednsday afternoons for $7 bucks which the girls couldn't get enough of (it can get cold in the pool so wetsuits are a plus for this). If you are an Alaska resident be sure to mention it with all the tour operators as the give significant discounts for Alaskan's.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Wonderful location with wide expansive views of the water. We saw humpback whales, orcas, harbor seals, bald eagles and other wildlife. We took walks on the beach and the trails through the forest. The home was impeccable and so truly well stocked that your every need was taken care of. The pictures on the website do not do this home justice. We had a wonderful time and did not want to leave. We will most definitely be back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This is the best appointed vacation rental house we have rented. The quality of the house and the amenities are top notch. The location is unbeatable – ever changing views, privacy and well maintained grounds. Far enough from town to avoid the crowds, yet an easy drive to town and the marinas, airport and parks. The kitchen is completely stocked with all the basics – just add your catch-of-the-day and some Alaskan Amber! It was immaculately clean and easy to maintain. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The sheets and towels were high quality. The terry robes in the bedrooms were an unexpected plus. The guys thought the only thing missing was a hot tub for a soak after a long day of fishing. Us ladies found the bathtub roomy and comfortable for a soak. The owners were friendly and helpful.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

We have rented homes and condos in many places and Hidden Cove is by far at the top of the list! The home, the amenities, the property, the view and the owners are first class all the way. The owners have thought of everything as far as what you'd want in a vacation home (not just a rental) and provided all of it and then some. The breakfast items provided were yummy. The only constructive criticism would be for a shower rod/curtain be added to the upstairs bathroom as all four of us were shower people...although the claw foot tub looked very inviting. If you want first class fishing (we chartered with Ralph Cionflone and rented our own boat from Clover Pass Resort) and a gorgeous and comfortable place to stay, do consider Ketchikan and Hidden Cove Beach House. Ray and Kathy, you are great and your home reflects that!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We have used VRBO in several locations over the past few years, and this is the property to which all others are compared by our family. This property makes you feel like your best friend moved to Alaska and left you the keys to stay at her home while she was way. Kathy has decorated and outfitted this home like it was the one she lived in on a daily basis, not the cast-off when combining households. The kitchen is fully stocked like a chef was cooking on a regular basis in the home, including a wide range of basic food staples. When Kathy says she has left supplies for breakfast, she really means it. While we truely enjoyed the sights of Ketchikan, it is the ambiance, scenic views, and quality time spent at this unique house that are our family's fondest memories. While my 5 year old thought flying with Carson Air to see the bears eat salmon feet away from the blind was neat, the memories she always talks about from this trip are sitting in the wooden swings with Grandma watching the tide come in, tide pooling with PaPa, and being the nightly smore chef while the rest of us enjoyed the setting sun on the water and the innumerable Alaskan stars. Every morning and evening you can sit in the window-filled great room and watch the cruise ships begining their sail into and out of the channel smuggly know that you have chosen the best way to visit Alaska.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This vacation home surpasses every expectation. Every need has been supplied and the entire property maintained in an immaculate condition. With its breathtaking waterfront view, distant mountains, a mystical woods complete with a resident eagle, and the beautiful and beautifully furnished house, this is a place of dreams. Hidden Cove B&B is a magnificent place to stay. As owner of Aurora Sportfishing I have fished several groups of people from this rental. I have one large group of fisherman who fish with me every year. Before they leave they book for the following year in advance because they love it here so much. The house and all the beautiful things that make this place so nice, helps me keep my fisherman very happy. So come stay with us and see what Ketchikan AK has to offer. I have a group of fisherman who stay at Hidden Cove B&B yearly. The house, the location, the ammenities, the everything are top notch!! I would recommend staying here to anyone. The group of fisherman really enjoy staying here and book it a year in advance every year. We fish hard all day long and then they relax here all night. When my guys left this year on their way home I received a text "I have not been able to stop thinking about all the fun we had this year. You are a host not just a fishing guide we are looking forward to next year already. Your friend John." I have to give a lot of credit to The Hidden Cove for providing such a beautiful place to stay. Which helps my people enjoy their stay very much. Come stay with us and enjoy all the wonderful things Ketchikan AK has to offer. Oh yeah and "Forget the rest, fish with the BEST!!" About the owner: Ray and Kathy met in 1998 and both were building beachfront homes at the time. We married in 1999 and Ray's house was finished first so we decided to do a vacation rental with the Hidden Cove home. It has been a very rewarding experience for us as we have met so many wonderful people. Check out the sunset at Hidden Cove!!
