This was a wonderful trip! Loved every minute of it; the road to get there was a roller coaster ride! The house itself was amazing. The view was out of this world! I will never forget this place ( might even come back). Thanks for a place to stay, good food and memories forever!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We loved the beautiful accomodations here. Everything is generously provided in the kitchen - more than we expected. It's a terrifically comfortable place to be. The views are wonderful -love seeing the ships below as we enjoy the breezes on the deck. It will be hard to say godbye The road up here, tho', is so jaw-clenching bone rattling awful, we only went down & up once each day. We did enjoy the beaches, snorkeling, hiking, and restaurants throughout St. John. Its a wonderful island. .Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

"We have loved our stay here a FWFS. This is our 10th trip to St. John and we've rented many houses all over the island but none with a view that compares to the one here! It's like Camelot...gorgeous weather all day and rain during the night. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home."Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

"What a great experience. Fair Winds was a real find. Thank you "Williams'" for letting us see paradise in your cottages. St. John is a jewel, and not to be missed. The cottage is really comfortable and well thought out for the traveling visitor. No complaints at all. Did not have phone or internet for most of the stay, but that is not the owner's fault. Great Caribbean took care of it within a few days. The drive up is a little unnerving at first...but doesn't take long to get used to... and turns out to be a lot of fun."Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

"We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to stay during our first vist to St. John! While the drive up to the villa was, to say the least challenging, the view from the decks was a more than adequate reward - words and pictures truly cannot do it justice. We wanted for nothing while staying here - from pots and pans to flashlights and I-pod chargers, the house had everything we could have asked for. We spent some nights in the guest house and others in the master bedroom, and found both to be quite comfortable.... We loved using the hot tubs at night and gazing at the impressive starry sky as well as watching the sun rise over Coral Bay in the morning. This was a special trip for us as we have a baby on the way and likely won't have another "just the two of us" vacation for awhile. We'll miss this place, and will always remember FWFS fondly!"Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Why the Owner Chose Coral Bay:
We had been traveling throughout the Caribbean, collecting and banding birds, and fell in love with St. John. We wanted to spend more time there and decided to find a lot and build a house. After a few years of searching, one day, we took a ride up the hill overlooking Johnson's Bay, which is part of Coral Bay, and stopped by the side of the road in awe. We bought the lot, and when the house was finally completed, we and our family and friends were so pleased when we could be there together.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love to watch the sunrises and 'counter' sunsets (the eastern sky at sunset), as well as the birds soaring overhead and sometimes at eye level. We can see and identify many of the boats that regularly enter and leave Coral Bay. Once, we even saw a humpback whale, which I particularly enjoyed as I have served as a naturalist on a whale watching booat in New England. Our children, grandchildren and friends enjoy visiting us at our island home. It is a great place to relax as well as swim and snorkel at beautiful beaches and hike on a variety of trails.
