Stayed the week of Christmas 2011 - nice large kitchen and bathrooms (walk-in shower a plus) nice view of pool and mid-day sun and sunsets from balcony; towel service every other day and daily newspaper were great. The on-site cafe and beachside bar were excellent features and the food was good and drinks were generous; nice to have a c-store across the street for quick purchases; staff was very friendly as was the night security guard; beach area is some of the widest along the whole Clearwater to St. Pete stretch, so plenty of room to roam and spread out; pool was just the right temp! - All in all a very nice unit and complex!

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We stayed at this condo for a week in October. We are a family of 5 with three young children and the convenience of having a full kitchen and laundry was perfect. This was our 3rd stay at this property and it is such a great part of Florida with lots to do. The condo was clean and comfortable. It was less expensive than spending a week on the ocean in Maine and that included the air travel ! An excellent vacation ! We will be back.

We loved staying here! It is the perfect location for doing lots or for doing nothing. Can't think of a better place to stay in the area. Loved It!!!!!!

Couldn't ask for anything more. Condo had everything we needed. Great view of the Gulf. We had 3 adults and 2 kids (age 4 & 6). The whole facility was beautiful. A few things people may not know: you get a free 1 week pass to "The Club at Tresure Island" - very relaxing and beautiful (just ask front desk for pass). There is also a spot near outdoor bar that you can borrow beach toys/chairs - take what you like and leave what you don't want to take home - GREAT IDEA!! The owner, Kathy, gave me so many great things to do and where to eat - she was so helpful. Thank you, Kathy.

Excellent. My family and I enjoyed the stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay again. My only constructive critisim is the bar tenders didnt seem too friendly and could care less about being cordial. The young girl didn't seem like she really wanted to be there. I think there is lost revenue by not having a tiki bar atmospher with music similar to the double tree. It would make the stay even better. Thanks.

"We are so happy that we chose Sunset Vista as our home away from home. Although we could see some of the beach from our rental, the sunset was obstructed by another hotel. (Walk down to the beach and enjoy) The grounds were pretty well maintained, but felt that the rental that we stayed in could have been cleaner. Surprisingly though how quiet the units were, except for the folks that were above us scooting their chairs about late at night. The front staff was very accommodating and friendly. Just make sure what ever rental you choose to check and see if they have coffee filters, salt and pepper, plastic dishes, laundry detergent, beach towels, etc. As we didn't in ours, but relatives across in the north towers did. It would have been helpful to have a check list of the things we may have liked to have for our stay to have been dispersed if it was not provided. We definitely will choose Sunset Vista's for our next time we are in Treasure Island, Florida. We also found that the chair and umbrella rental on the beach was a must after a few days in the sun, and splitting the cost with our friends made the price easier. We also bartered with them to get the cost a bit cheaper, and it was fun too! (Two chairs and an umbrella for $20) or two chairs for $5 after 2:30. Dining out...Sloppy Joe's was a fun place to go, but their food was not so hot. The walk home from there was easy via a sidewalk(boardwalk) in front of the hotels (beach-side) almost all the way. Same with Bubba Gumps...fun touristy attraction, but the food was okay. We found the best place to go, after speaking with a girl who works in a Jewelry store in John's Pass. Sad it was our last evening, but definitely go to Salt Rock Grill. It is a short 10 minute drive north of Sunset Vista's. Wonderful food, and beautiful atmosphere and great service. If you get there and order before 6 it is two dinners for $20.10. Well worth the drive. We were also told afterward that it is the hangout for 'Movie Stars'. We didn't see any, but we did see a wild pink flamingo! Walk the beach to the pier before John's Pass when the boats go out in the morning, it brings a lot of dolphins in waiting for the fish to be stirred up for their breakfast. Go para-sailing...my in laws at 82 and 89 respectively went and absolutely loved it! Also, walk out on the sandbar for sand dollars...but shuffle your feet as there are stingrays in the water. My nephew got stung by one two hours before they were to depart. Enjoy
